They later told us they'd cut the brake line(s) and had to order new parts to fix the parking brake release. Then they text us a video of the back suspension of our vehicle moving super loosely BECAUSE THEY'D CUT THE BRAKE LINES, but tried to 'sell' us on replacing the entire brake system because it was too loose to be safely driven. We lost IMMEDIATE respect for them when they first quoted us just under $1,000 to disengage the parking brake, so we told them we wanted them to do NOTHING else. Then, after we picked up the vehicle, Christina had the audacity to call and leave us a voicemail trying to upsell us yet AGAIN because "well, I don't want to worry you, but the vehicle isn't safe to drive, so give us a call back today because we're running a special, blah, blah, blah." We will NEVER use FTD again and DO NOT recommend them to friend or foe.

Even though I live nearly an hour away, I still will go to them for all my auto repair needs (except oil changes, but even then if I can make it happen I'll go to Car One). There is almost no company or business I can think of that is better at customer service. If I was to right a dissertation on a PHD for "What makes a small business great" it would be about these guys. 1. They never lie to me. I trust them so much that I literally tell them "yes" to anything they say needs to be done to my car. This is due to them building up trust with me over the years to where I don't need to think about if they are trying to rip me off or not. They can see this review, so next time they see me, they COULD rip me off but I know they won't. 2. The customer service skills - they always seem to remember who I am the moment I say my name, even if I have not talked to them in over a year. Now, look at the attached picture. They literally filled out my mail-in-rebate for the tires I got from them. They even included the stamp!! They didn't have to do it, but they offered it without me asking and took care of it for me. 3. Loyalty. Read the other reviews on here. There is one guy who says he drives from Des Moines, IA because he refuses to go anywhere else. That's what it means to be loyal to a business. In Summary - there's no one better out there to work on your car. If you don't go here, it's your loss.

When we checked the footage the employee was the one who crashed. I took it back home and the tire they had changed was completly flat. After that They sent me to someone they knew from a body shop (route 19 body shop in elgin) to get the rear end fixed and they had my car for over 2 months and wouldn't update me or answer my calls, I went to go check up on it and found my car unlocked, with keys inside and alcoholic beverages so I took it home and was never contacted after that. There is gaps in the panels in the rear of the car and the panels that were "fixed & painted" are now chipping and peeling. Worst experience ever!
