Wow, I went in to the Dewey Avenue store to get a new battery for my '04 Toyota Sienna tonight…read more There were two very helpful ladies working who asked me the make and model of my car. By the time I walked over to look at the batteries and back they had already written down every option specific to my car with all the associated warranty information and costs on a piece of paper I could take with me. I told them I was going to shop around, but I'll more than likely be back here to buy my battery. Compare this to Advance Auto on Dewey. Those people are miserable. Oh and the O'Reilly store is super clean and well organized. Jim Montanus 2-27-26

Got an oil filter that Oreilly auto parts told me to get for my 2010 crv along with 5 quarts of…read moreoil. I did my oil change as I have done for years. I started up my car and oil started spaying all over my driveway from the oil filter. In all it was approximately about a quart of NEW oil I lost. I went into the store to try and remedy the situation They thought it could have been a defective filter. I'm not so sure it was but that is here nor there. what it came down to was that they sold me an oil filter that did not work properly. They told me they could give me a new one of the same make and brand. I was not comfortable with this as I felt the filter was not sealing properly to the car. So I asked for another filter that was slightly more expensive at no charge because of inconvenience to myself. I also asked them for one quart of oil to replace the one I lost on my driveway. I wasn't asking for something for free but just to be made whole for my purchase. They told me that they would not give me the oil that was lost because of the filter THEY recommended and that if I wanted the other filter that I would have to pay the difference. Not only that but I had to go to Home Depot to buy some Zep oil cleanup at another loss to me. The real kicker here is that the sign in the door says "We strive for 100% customer satisfaction". Again I wasn't looking for free stuff I just wanted them to take responsibility for their mistake. Instead they made excuses and put the problem back on me the customer. They could have kept a customer if they just took a small hit for THEIR mistake. Too bad. I will drive a bit further for my Car parts from now on. Work on your customer service Oreilly.

About a year ago I bought a 2019 Ford F 150 pickup. A nice truck and I did get the full warranty. I…read morewas at the park doing some photo work and I had to get some equipment from the box. But, my tailgate latch was jammed. I thought it needed a bit of lubricant, or HD 40. Living right down the street from B and B I decided to stop and ask them for a bit of help, advice versus going all the way out to Van Bortel. I went in and asked the attendant for a bit of help and he immediately got some lubricant and came out. We managed to get the tailgate open but there was still a problem. I asked him if I owed him anything he said no! I was impressed. This was old fashion service. B and B automotive has been around a long time, they know the car business.I would highly recommend them. I ended up taking my truck to Van Bortel for repairs, glad I got the warranty.

Another time my check engine light came on right before a road trip. They took me in as a walk in and made sure the car was safe for the road trip and sent me on my way. No charge. Another time I went in for advice and as I drove away he waved me down, said he smelled something different and had me pop the hood to check for a leak. He didn't see anything, but I'm grateful that he took the time. I've brought my vehicle there a handful of times and always great service and I never feel like I'm being overcharged.

This time of year "windshield washer fluid" is in demand. Not just for the person who commutes to…read morework but also for businesses that have fleets of cars and trucks. I stopped in here while in the area and checked on their prices. The store was clean, inventory was neatly organized, but their prices were a little steeper than their competitors right down the street for a single jug of washer fluid. I got my last jug for less than 2 bucks. The salesman was polite and I asked about prices by the case for a friend. I must say the store had several different promotions running.

April was awesome. Great personality…read more She helped me a lot finding my wipers and installed them too!

Let me start by mentioning that there are 3 other auto parts stores within a few tenths of a mile…read moreof this store, and I have been to all of them in the past. I will never go back to this Auto Zone for a very simple reason - the people behind the counter do not care whether you buy from them or not. I was in there today looking to get some wiper blades. They do not have a wiper blade selector or list/booklet on the floor for customers to look up their sizes by themselves, so you need to wait for someone to look them up (or so I thought that might be how it works at this store...). There was one person behind the counter working with a customer. There were at least 5 other people with Auto Zone uniforms on, none of them even making eye contact with the 4 of us that were in line waiting for counter service as they walked past us doing something or other. After being on a lengthy phone conversation, the guy looking for a couple of fuel caps actually told me he was sorry that he was just an Auto Zone driver and someone would help me shortly (I had been waiting for 3 or 4 minutes at this point, and I was next "in line". Finally, after 6-7 minutes, the guy behind the counter gets ready to close out the person they were working with, and he looked up and asked if anyone was ready to cash out. Being next in line, I said that I needed some help figuring out what size wiper blades my car used so I could buy the right ones. He said, and I quote - "It's 2021, not the 1990's anymore - that's why you have a smart phone. Every car maker has an app so you can look up your own size. It's 2021!" WHAT??? I said that was a BS answer and they obviously did not want my business. He repeated that it was 2021 and that's what smartphones were for. As I walked out the door to head down the street to a different auto parts store, I WISH I had thought to tell him that since it's 2021, I can buy parts online and have them delivered, and that the job he had was unnecessary, but I was not quick enough on my toes to think that fast. I went to the Pep Boys at East Ridge and Hudson less than 0.1 miles away (the one that is going out of business) and the cashier/manager asked me if I needed any help. I was able to save 50% (store closing sale) on 2 sets of wiper blades for my car, and grabbed a couple of other things that might come in handy. We chatted about their store closing and how long it has been in the neighborhood (I have lived here 34 years), and that it was sad to see it go. Auto Zone should be the one closing.
