In order to support family businesses we ordered food here. Service was pleasant and personable. Ordered chicken cheesesteak, had good flavor however, would of preferred to have the chicken chopped. Good morning yelpers! This morning we decided to have breakfast around the neighborhood to celebrate our Toby's 16 years of loving and guarding our family. We've been living in West Covina for over 25 years and you find restaurants that are gem in your neighborhood. This is a restaurant that you have to order in front and they will take the food to you. The patio is a great place to seat... they have a nice big cool fan that helps beat the heat. We were greeted by nice young man asking "is everything okay and welcomed us with a smile "! Thank you!!! The food is good and cooked fresh. We ordered typical breakfast so next time we return we certainly would try others in the menu. Overall a five star for this welcoming, clean, and good food. For the price is reasonable since we are fighting inflation and businesses have to survive. I have no complaints with this since they are in our community and we support our neighborhood businesses. We went here for Father's day and had a great experience. We loved the ambulance the minute you walked in. Great attention to detail. The jazz band was playing that day and it was a great treat. We had a wonderful table by the window. Our server was very helpful with her recommendations and friendliness. My husband had the chicken and biscuits. It was amazing! They make their own biscuits and it was outstanding. Overall we had an amazing experience and will be returning. read more

We just found this gem of a restaurant today and it was absolutely amazing! We had the mixed greens salad with salmon and cranberry goat cheese )which is my new favorite salad of all time) and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries. The service was great, George (maybe?) was super kind and genuinely grateful for our business. I cannot say enough about the quality of the food, it was perfect! I'm only providing 2 stars because the owner was nice. When I saw 4.6 stars I was expecting the food to be delicious and for the location to be packed. The food grossed me out so bad. I dont know how they managed to make everything taste like water. No matter how many creamers I put in the coffee no taste what so ever. Even the eggs tasted watered down. I have no idea how this place has over 4 stars! First off, the service was extremely slow, it's the type of establishment where you order at the register before sitting down and I don't know if it was the people in front of me that took forever to order or the kid at register taking the order. They offer no kids menu. I got my plate first while my husband and daughter's plate was still in the kitchen, so I ended up eating lukewarm food by the time their plates arrived. The price of the food was outrageous for the portions served. The overall ambiance was just blah. Will never go back. read more

This place has 5 stars for a reason. So here's what we ordered Country fried steak with eggs and potatoes Short stack Sausage Philly cheese steaks Ultimate breakfast burrito French fries Coffee And it was all so good. For some reason my kids were obsessed with the breakfast potatoes, they were perfectly cooked . So breakfast potatoes are a must! The gravy for the country fried was nothing like I've ever had and I'm only mad that I haven't been here sooner. Oh ok one not so good thing, the orange juice yuck. But still drinkable. My husband was so happy they had different flavored creamers. We didn't do pictures because we had one bite of the pancakes and when in on everything else! Make sure you go here for you next breakfast trip. Oh then the owner came out and said hi to everyone you know the food is good when the owner comes out to greet you.! So I waited more then a yr to try it again since I've sent so many people here cuz it was really good at one point so I guess it's a hit or miss so again here I am a yr later same order chicken fettuccine Alfredo I always ask for extra sauce so it's not so dry but it is no mater what u say also I had to put tons of Parmesan to give it more flavor it was pretty bland and the staff was a lot nicer than last year they did give me an extra garlic bread but again the garlic bread is on a hoagie roll sorry not hotdog bun but the pictures show like a sourdough piece of bread or some thing a lot more appealing this is a hoagie roll and it was not as good as it looks well you can see doesn't even look that good either way and the salad was really hot which I get was on my food because I ordered it but you would think you just wait till I get there before you place it on hot food but other people like it I'm not knocking it I just don't prefer to come here anymore and it was $19.50 on the menu it shows 13.50 so I don't know where the other $5.00 come from it looks like you have to eat there if you order to go it will suck and cost more then is advertised I still tipped and I did try once more but I'm good and I'm sure the owner will write back some B/S like last time so good for him he's made it this far .... read more

I've been wanting to try George's Cafe for a couple of weeks, as I have seen everyone being elated with the tri-tip burrito. I couldn't make up my mind for breakfast so I ordered the breakfast avocado burrito and the tri-tip breakfast burrito. I loved both of them! The tri-tip breakfast burrito was insane! Tri-tip was tender and the breakfast potatoes gave it a good compliment. The only thing is I like mine with A1 sauce instead of salsa. The avocado burrito was great knowing that the avocado was fresh! I split the burritos in half, btw... Make sure if you order online or over the phone you specifically order the BREAKFAST tri-tip burrito as there are two types. I can't wait to try the other tri-tip burrito! First timers this morning for breakfast. 2 eggs any style, we had over medium, potatoes, toast and coffee. Everything had such good flavor, not the usual bland eggs and roasted potatoes that most places serve. George's had a good flavor to them. Not worth the price. $40 for a sandwich, fries, zucchini fries and an omelette?? Zucchini fries came with maybe 12-15 at best for $8 Gave us a hard time when dealing with the corrections needed in our order. Brought my girlfriend an entirely different sandwich than what she ordered and we had to wait another 20 minutes for her right order to be brought out. They also forgot my additional sides. Had breakfast with my daughter after seeing pretty good reviews. What a disappointment! Overpriced for mediocre to poor food quality. The workers were very nice and service was fair. My breakfast was brought out a while before my daughter's. Then when they did bring her breakfast it was incomplete. She ordered chicken fried steak and they brought out the steak without gravy on it. They said they were warming up the gravy and they would bring it soon. So when they did bring the little half cup of gravy her other food was lukewarm. And they also serve coffee in paper cups. I thought the price we paid for this was way overpriced. We split the jang-jorim burrito and we could barely eat any of the breakfast plate as a result, so we took most of it home. Quality-wise, everything is super fresh and high-quality, nothing felt overly salty or oily. I liked that every plate comes with something extra and that it leans on the healthier side, whether it's salad or fruit. I also had one of their specialty lattes and it was so good. The flavors blended really well without being too sweet. I definitely look forward to coming here in the future for when we're looking for a healthier meal out.
