A true hidden gem! I was getting my haircut across the street and have always passed by this place. I decided to finally give it a try and was pretty impressed. It doesn't look like much at first but this cafe has plenty of food offerings. If you're into American style breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, burritos, and pastas then this is the place to go. This is a nice little neighborhood restaurant. I got the beef sandwich and a chicken avocado sandwich. They both tasted really good, the fries are also good and better than most fast food restaurants. What is unique about this place is the art on the wall, if you're a fan of "Blood in Blood out", this is your place. I often wonder what would drive a business owner to decorate their restaurant in this unique fashion. i brought my parents for same late breakfast on a rainy saturday morning, and we really enjoyed it. parking is very limited though, so keep that in mind! you order at the front and then pick a table to sit at. we chose to sit outside in the patio, which had some beautiful hanging plants that i loved. 10/10 vibes our food was brought to us fairly quickly. my mom and i shared the veggie omelet, which comes with a side of potatoes and bread. really good we had some small talk with the the owner, george, and he was very friendly. i'm happy to support his business and i will definitely be coming back! gracias por todo! you got yourself a new regular :) read more

I've been out of town for a year and wanted to meet up for breakfast with a girlfriend. I was craving awesome country potatoes. Found George's cafe on Yelp! And decided to give it a shot. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. It has a few tables inside and what looked to be a nice sized patio for outdoor seating. The food hit all of the right notes. I wanted an omelet with onions, cheese and avocado which was not on the menu, but it wasn't a problem at all! I also wanted to exchange my toast for one piece of French toast. Again for a minimal up charge, they were more than happy to help. The plates went back to the kitchen completely spotless. We ate every crumb. I have been here many times and the food and service is always great. However today was a really bad experience. My wife's menudo did not have any hominy and they did not give her cilantro and the onions were old tasting not to mention the menudo was very bland. I ordered the tri-tip mushroom Swiss melt and it arrived with American cheese. When I pointed it out to the girl she seemed very annoyed that I mentioned it. I waited about another 15 minutes for her to bring out the replacement during the wait I ate the fries. When she brought out the replacement sandwich she did not bring any fries so I ate the fries and sandwich separately. As I mentioned before we had been here many times and actually had the honor of talking to George a few times and he is absolutely great. It's only because of that is why I will try again. read more

Menu looked great and front desk service was nice. The problem happened after we received our food. Paper thin waffles, mediocre eggs and sausage and potato's smelled like old cooking oil. Plus very skimpy on the portion size. Long story short, the smell killed it for us and we barely finished half of our food. The food that didn't smell was bland at best. I was so disappointed. The nice family said that they were still undecided and let my son and i go ahead of them. When I approached the man he was rude. No greeting just stood at the register with this serious look on his face. I asked him if they made pancakes since I did not see anything with pancakes on the menu and he said yes. When I called the following morning (today), the owner mentioned right away that he found it when clearing the table and that he was going to deliver it to the address on my license after work today. I was able to have my parents pick it up for me instead. They offered him a cash reward, but he refused to take it... he put his hands up and said (I'm serious... no!). Please give this place your business... 1) because the food is great and the place is clean and 2) because the owner/manager is awesome and so honest! Came here since the reviews seemed great. It was empty when we arrived. We got there at 1:30pm and was told we had to eat outside even though they close at 2:30? The heat was so bad especially for my 2 babies. Waited about 15-20 mins for the food, no biggie but the food was not hot so not sure what the wait was for if it wasn't hot food. I got the tri tip burrito and my husband got the chicken waffle and my sons shared a burger. We paid $57 for everything. And then I paid separately for 2 waters and 1 apple juice $8! Me, my wife and parents went to a popular big name restaurant to have brunch. The wait was over 1 hour and I yelped brunch around me, I saw George's Cafe page and was drawn in by the fotos. Best decision I could've made, since you walk in friendly service, walk up order and quickly served even though it seemed busy. We all had different orders and all of our orders were excellent, especially the French toast with Ice cream and the gravy on the biscuits was one of the best I've had. Very disappointing experience! This was our second time here because we love supporting small businesses. We were a party of 4, my husband ordered omelette ranchero and when he received his food it was missing the fried corn tortillas at the bottom of the omelette, after all isn't that like juevos rancheros?! So when he told the sever it was missing the tortilla she said "she noticed that too", so she went back and told the cook, we over heard her say "so what do I tell him"? I'm assuming she was talking about my husband, since it was only us in the restaurant. Well she came back out with 2 burn tostadas!! Never have we been to a restaurant where they did not apologize for "their" mistake!! My husband told her forget his order, she took his plate and never offered to fix it! It was the cooks mistake and they should have at least offered to fix it!
