Tried to try this place last night (Saturday Night) at 6:30 pm and was greeted by the owner at the hostess station telling us it would be a 20-30 minute wait to be seated because they were so busy. Just walked over from Texas Roadhouse which was a legitimate 90 minute wait. Georgia Boys was empty. A ghost town. Like 5 people in the entire place. If they had a lick of common they would put up a LED pointing toward Roadhouse saying 5 minute wait time come here instead...... read more

I've had bariatric surgery and I am unable to eat the portions that they serve. The first time I was here I was able to order off the children's menu and still wasted half of the food. This time when I went, they told me it would be a three dollar up charge to eat off of the kids menu. They need to be transparent and consistent, and it needs to be documented on the menu. Poor service. They just lost two customers today that they could've made money off of. Won't be back. read more

The food was pretty average and bland but 5-10 minutes out the restaurant I was super bloated and sick. I had issues digesting it. I wouldn't eat here again. The waitress wasn't very good. She avoided us but was super focused on the rich golf people behind us. I do believe she was banking on them tipping her well, leaving the rest of us to wait around or grab her attention. They did not tip her, and complained about her the whole time lol. It took her almost 45 minutes to get us drinks, forgetting one. She then took a half hour to get a refill for one drink. Continued to say "sorry it is so busy!" But other staff were helping with her section. The ambiance was fine, kind of loud but that's a Saturday night barbecue joint, nothing to complain about. After seeing Raina' Wang's video taking on the Barnyard challenge, I had to come check this place out. I was a little surprised to see the parking lot almost empty while the Texas Roadhouse's parking lot next door looked almost full. I chalked it up as we arrived in between lunch/dinner. Walking in, I immediately loved the ambiance. The place was clean and the shirts the servers wore were hilarious ("I like Pork Butts I cannot lie")! Getting seated right away was an added bonus. The menu didn't have much options, but that didn't bother me. That usually means that what they have listed, is what they have perfected. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. But before I get into the food details, I would like it to be known that our server was awesome! I forgot her name but she was attentive, was easy to talk to, and got our order down perfectly. Now on to the food; I ordered the full slab of the St Louis style ribs. Ribs were dry, and lacking flavor. I mainly just tasted "smoke". I realize that the ribs are best dressed up with the various sauces on the table, but I feel like good ribs should have good flavor from the meat to the sauces. I appreciate the ribs not totally falling off the boat and they do have a nice bounce to them. But they almost tasted like they have been left out for a while and just reheated before it got to my table. My son ordered the double stack cheeseburger which he loved. His burger looked damn juicy. I almost had to play "I'm the Dad" card and switched him plates. But I wasn't ready for his teenage tantrums. Looking at the other items on the menu, I feel there are better options than the ribs. Also, being in between meals can definitely play a part in quality. With that said, their brisket and wings looks promising... Maybe. Once we got done eating, I went to their store area and looked at their merch. I wanted to get something like the server's shirt because let's be honest, who doesn't like pork butts? Especially those big juicy butts! Am I right?!?!?!?! The prices are way above what my roommate will allow (aka my wife). I didn't understand why they were so much but then again, I left feeling still hungry so my thoughts may have been skewed a tad. Georgia Boys is worth another try. Well to begin with, this is bbq is for those who lack a bbq taste bud pallet. I decided to try this place, because I'm trying to reach out, expand my horizons, and try new things. After the appetizer, I thought I had made a good choice. After the main course, i was reminded to myself, why I have a hard time exploring outside of my box. The appetizer was the pork belly. Delicious. 10/10, would recommend. I would go back specifically for the pork belly app. Got me all hyped for the main. Fast forward. The main wasn't 10/10. I ordered the burnt ends and the sliced brisket. Both were dry. For the price I payed, I'd expect juicy, tender, smoked, beef brisket. You know, the kind you can cut with your fork. Let me tell you, I couldn't cut it with my fork, unless also striving for cutting the plate in half also. Once cut, I tried to savor the juiciness, saltiness, rendered fat that comes with a finely smoked brisket. Only to find it dry, and laking true smokehouse flavor. Same with the burnt ends. (Long story short) burnt ends are supposed to be the most savory, juicy, tender, amazing, part of the brisket, if cooked correctly. P.S. they were not. Mediocre brisket. For the price I paid, I'd rather go to Longhorn and have a ribeye steak. All in all, you want pork belly from heaven, this is your place. My daughter graduated from college and since we are from out of town we needed a place to have a reception. We had been at a reception here before so we thought we would try it. We contacted Rebecca to set up all the details and she was very helpful and professional. She was always quick to reply to any questions we had. On graduation day she was ready when we arrived. She had Katie and Hailey assigned as our servers. Both girls were eager to help the 40 plus group and were excellent at getting drink orders to each person in an accurate and timely manner. The food preparation and amounts were spot on and at the end of the party we still had some leftovers. Both girls thanked us for coming in before we left. If you need a worry free quality place to have a large gathering I highly recommend Georgia Boys. read more

Pretty solid pulled pork sandwich, the smoked chicken was Meh, sides have much to be desired imo. I don't like onions in my slaw, garlic broccoli over cooked, and French fries were cold. The ribs were so tender, falling off the bone. The sides of Brunswick stew and Mac n cheese were very tasty and some right! Sorry Georgia Boys. You were so good wen we started going to your Longmont location. Small scale gave great food. We followed you to Frederick and had 2 memorable meals there. Loved the patio. Got excited when heard you were coming to Greeley since it's so close went last Friday for dinner and won't be back. Here's why Happy hour that goes until 5:00pm? Aren't most people still at work then? But I could come back at 9:00 for the late night happy hour. No reservations taken on Friday or Saturday night. Ok. I can deal with that but how about if you enclose some of that HUGE porch so I have a place to wait out of the weather. Service was great! Loved our waitress and she did a stellar job. When we were not pleased with the Cole slaw (can you say onions). She very graciously replaced it. Food. OMG. I had pulled pork which was dry and tasteless. Good thing you have so many sauces cause it needed it. Mac and cheese were OK. Brunswick stew was really good. Husband had brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was over done and tough. No taste as well. His Cole slaw was filled with onions to the point where we couldn't eat it. Waitress did replace it. 4% living wage tax attached to the bill and then you recommend an 18% tip!! Have loved the BBQ plates. Recently, I have focused on the sandwiches. The Reuben and pastrami sandwiches are specials, and not always available. Can't beat em! Today, they weren't available. So, I reluctantly ordered the Pit Master. It was so good! I'm thinking there is nothing on the menu that would disappoint me. As always the service was great. So my co-worker and I had heard from another co-worker that the chicken wings here were Da-Bomb and we had a rough day at work so decided to venture here for a good dinner meal. We were quickly seated and as other guests have stated, Texas Roadhouse did have more guests but that was fine with us. Our waitress took our order and we were lucky we went on a Thursday as it was 5 wings for 5 bucks. Each of us ordered 10 wings. Mine were sauced in the Sweet Heat BBQ sauce and they were smoked perfectly. I ordered the Kansas City combo plate which gave me smoked spare ribs and smoked brisket burnt ends. I opted for the onion rings and the Skillet Cornbread as sides. The wings were delicious and honestly the best part of my meal. The Meats were good but I was full because of the wings. I did finish my sides though and they were very good. I ate 1 rub and 1 piece of burnt ends and they were smoked just right. They do make a very good Arnold Palmer. Georgia Boys is EVERYTHING you want in a BBQ joint - awesome food - great service - topnotch bar- and nana pudding. I started going to GB when it was just a tiny Longmont spot located in a little charming residential house turned resturant - just like a down south - hole-in-the-wall place. It was one of those establishments that instantly had a following and people lining up well before lunch hour hoping to score some of the classic bbq favorites - pork ribs - brisket - sausage - pulled pork. You know- in the early days they used to run out just too quickly - now that's not a problem at the restaurants - there's more and more meat. Somehow these guys figured out the secret of keeping that same magical food they served way back then and scaled it (which frankly is usually when many other bbq places dies) - but not Georgia Boys - so hey have done it right - ok - so there's a gift shop and it looks lil corporate -- but if you keep that food at the level it is now - I can learn to deal. My favorite is the brisket and burnt ends - but recently I tried the pork belly nuggets and fell in love with them also. The smoked wings are also in the top ten I've ever had - and at this point I've traveled the entire country sampling about 100 or so bbq establishments. GB BBQ in Greeley is Top Notch! I have eaten there food many times at other locations and now just down the street here in Greeley. The food at the Greeley locations is amazing. I have tried several different sides and love the pulled pork and brisket. Soon I will try the chicken, but I am never a rib person, but my husband has had them and he really liked them. I feel the need to respond to MATT W's review because he isn't speaking truth...he must work at Dickies bbq! LOL I know someone that's works there and... 1. HOMEMADE COLESLAW, POTATO SALAD...in fact everything is homemade from specific family recipes. 2. THEY DO NOT MICROWAVE THE MEAT! They start smoking the meat at O-dark-thirty in the AM before most are out of bed...including MATT I bet. 3. They have had many busy days and evenings, BUT you must remember, they just opened and not everyone knows about them yet. We were in Greeley on 04/27/2024 to help our niece pack and move home after her second year at UNC. We had planned ahead to have lunch a Georgia Boys and we were not disappointed. The food, service, and conversation with the staff was all top notch. We are planning more visits to Greeley for the upcoming year to visit our niece and eat at the best BBQ we've had in a very long time! For the record we had ribs, brisket, turkey, and my personal favorite sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection and the sides are some of the best. This was our first experience with Georgia Boys. We ordered the Family Sampler (Feeds 4-6). We picked skillet cornbread, house salad, loaded potato and sweet potato casserole. I was so disappointed. We received a very small side salad, 2 pieces of cornbread, 2 baked potatoes and an ok size sweet potato casserole. I told the gal I did not think I had the right order. That it was for 4-6 people. The gal went to check and the manager came out and said it was correct. I asked how do you feet 4-6 people with 2 pieces of cornbread or 2 small baked potatoes? She responded "This is what you ordered. I don't know what you expected." My order totaled $106.00 because we also had a banana pudding. Don't do it! Go to Nordy's or Dickey's. read more

Until the bill came the Georgia Boys BBQ added a 4% sur charge for the crew and then they broke down the tip In today's market finding a place to enjoy is priceless. We have been to Georgia Boys restaurants along to front range since opening. We decided to have lunch at the Greeley location. The service was good. The restaurant clean. The food however, was extremely disappointing. We ordered the smoked wings and each had a beer. My sons SMALL beer was 11.00. So buyer beware. The wings were so small and dried out, there wasnt any meat left on them. When we, as a working family, decide to treat ourselves to a lunch out, we certainly dont expect to find overpriced beers and food that looked like it was taken and reheated several times over.
