Have been wanting to go here for a while and so glad we finally did. We went here to celebrate our anniversary. Firstly, this is an absolute beautiful venue. The staff is helpful, upbeat and there exactly when you need them. We were greeted with a glass of champagne to celebrate. Always a nice touch. We both started off with a craft cocktail. Mine was poured table side out of flask. Nice touch. Cocktails were perfection. We opted to go for the 5 course tasking dinner with wine pairings. We went with the lesser of the two wine options. We started with a charcuterie board. Very good and could have made a meal out it alone. Next was pink snapper in a bowl of wonderful broth with yummy flash fried veggies. Next a pasta dish that exploded in your mouth with flavors of different artisan cheeses. Next a NY strip with whipped potatoes and broccholini. All very good. Dessert is harder to describe, so I'll just say it was a sort of cold cream with some figs and other things that I cannot describe. But it was a nice finish to everything we had just consumed. The wine pairings with each course was perfection. I kept wanting more wine with each course. All in all, this was a great dining experience that I hope more get out there and enjoy. Overall, had a wonderful experience here. The service from the hostesses, to the bartenders, to the waiters, to the Somme was stellar. They set expectations well about cook times of larger items and updated us on the progress, along the way. The burrata appetizer was well balanced among salty, creamy, acidic, crunchy, and tart. My buddy's lamb was stellar, and some of the best I've had in recent memory. My wife and I split a tomahawk, which was seared, salted, and cooked to perfection. The decor was quite unique, at least in my experience of Dallas, as it felt like a French bistro in NYC made love with a mid century modern designer's dream. My boyfriend and I chose this lovely restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We decided to order the "Regular" caviar to start, if you're well versed in caviar you know that every kind tastes way different. This one had a slight (mild) fishy taste to it with a buttery finish, it was delicious, especially with the classic accoutrements! We then decided to order a few cocktails...the extra dirty martini does NOT...disappoint and the Empress & Earl cocktail was great, you could really taste the Earl Gray tea, which I think is hard to find in a typical earl gray cocktail. We went all in and ordered the 5 course meal with wine pairings. EVERY single course was flawless...yellowtail hamachi with apple slaw, roasted salmon with dill cream sauce, charcuterie board with incredible Waygu deli cuts, a perfectly cooked steak, and finally cheesecake paired with a delicious tropical dessert wine. The dish that stood out to me the most was the roasted salmon, it had this incredibly Smokey flavor in the broth under the salmon and on/in the salmon in general. I have never in all of my food tasting adventures tasted a flavor so genuine! The service was impeccable - we decided to sit outside and the staff graciously catered to our needs and was very attentive, even though we were the only table on the patio. The food - wow. We celebrated my husband's birthday with a larger group of 10 and the entire dining experience was perfection! It felt like, between everyone, we ordered almost everything on the menu and literally everything was amazingly delicious. In fact, I'm not sure what I would even order when I go back because I want to try everything again! I ordered one of the fish dishes for my main entree which was so well prepared. The standouts amongst the sides were the mushrooms and potatoes. I also really enjoyed the tuna tar tar (that's definitely not what it's called, but the raw tuna preparation), octopus, and sausage. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong. The service was fantastic, and they accommodated everyone's preferences and allergies. From the second we walked in Raven greeted us and was so attentive and even sent us at the perfect table. Georgie should maybe retrain their hostess on proper customer service and etiquette. She was the first person we made contact with as soon as we arrived and it def left a bad impression on us. I've dined at Georgie three times now and felt compelled to tell the world about my positive experiences after seeing so many negative reviews (trying to split soup?? Really??) First time was only 2-3 weeks after its soft opening and I'd normally expect a sh*t-show but it was quite the opposite! Our group of 6 found the food, ambience, drinks, and service to be perfect. We started with drinks at the bar and took our time getting to our table. The place was busy but not super packed. All of us opted for the tasting menu which I HIGHLY recommend if it's your first time. We created our own "meat course" by adding a NY strip (the tasting already had a meat but I forget which one). Every dish was perfect but these were the stand-outs: the Kingfish ceviche that is hiding under a beautiful, airy foam; the mini charcuterie boards for each pair and the chestnut agnolotti. Second time was for Christmas dinner with a group of 4 and again, we had a pre-fixe menu. This was the only time that I felt the meat course was so-so. I had the filet and my friends described it perfectly--it tasted like a "healthy-prep" of no butter and no salt, which isn't exactly a bad thing. Third time was this past weekend for my quiet birthday dinner with 2 others. No tasting menu this time. The gentlemen ordered the filet and the NY strip and this time the meat was perfectly seasoned as the first time. I had the agnolotti as my main course--I can't get enough of that dish! We were all blown away by the Beet Carpaccio (yes, beet). My final thoughts: the martinis are always perfect, the sommelier (both the male and female) have selected wonderful and adventurous wines for us; the noise level is never too loud and the staff have always been friendly. If you are coming here and expect to be greeted by your server within 2 minutes and order within 5, maybe this isn't your cup of tea. It's not fast-casual dining. What's the rush? You come here to have a leisure dinner, perhaps with a pre-dinner cocktail while you catch up with friends and family. Relax and let the experienced staff steer your food and wine selections with a little bit of your guidance, of course. At least that's how I dine. :) read more

Second time dining here with friends. We did the tasting menu, which we had tried on our first visit here earlier in the year and loved every single part of our experience. During this visit, most courses were great, although it felt a bit stingy to have our first course be a selection of cured meats. We upgraded our wine pairings to the "premium" selections for an additional $150 per person (3 of us - $450 total). This price was not worth the wines poured. Among the selections was a Louis Latour Chablis that I could have bought at total wine for $45 a bottle and a 2017 Brunello, which is basically is a newborn baby in terms of Italian wine. We enjoyed the food but wish we had just ordered a couple bottles of wine equivalent to the $450 we spent on the tastings. read more

My family and I decided to spend Christmas dinner at Georgie, and we are so glad we did. It was a prix fixe menu with lots of wonderful options. For appetizers, we ordered the Market Salad and Foie Gras tart. The salad was fresh and vibrant and the pistachio vinaigrette was refreshing. The foie gras tart was served with pumpkin jam, butternut squash ribbons, and pepitas. The tart was rich but not overly so. The pumpkin jam was sweet and tart which helped balance it out. The texture of the pepitas and squash added some additional variance. I could easily make a meal of the tart and salad alone. The cocktails are very nicely prepared. However, when I ordered a glass of sparkling, they poured it into a Cabernet glass, and that causes not only for the bubbles to escape quicker but also makes it look like you're getting a very small amount. For entrees, we had the leg of lamb with mint jelly, salmon coulibiac, and the beef filet. Sides were the bacon braised crispy Brussels, potato roasties, and charred rainbow carrots with orange. Every plate and dish was absolutely clean. They were all wonderful, and my SO, who had the filet, stated that it was the best filet he had ever had and we had Dinner the night before at a high end steakhouse. So, that's extremely high praise. Desserts we had were Black Forest Yule log, Pear Clafoutis, and the hazelnut marscapone mousse. Every absolutely adored their dessert, except for me. I just did not care for the mousse. It was very heavy and rich and just felt too heavy on the tongue. Rum truffles and house made cookies to go was a nice treat. Service was absolutely wonderful. They were right on top of things, and we cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. read more

The service was great but the food was a bit disappointing. I love steak and this steak just did nothing for me. It lacked basic seasoning so it was very bland. I order a medium steak and I got a medium well steak instead. I'm just not sure why it's so hard to get a medium cooked steak at a steakhouse. The cream spinach was the same just bland. The bread and butter was good I think it was probably the best part other than the service. I have absolutely no complaints about the service it was wonderful everyone was polite aunt seems like they enjoyed working there. I'm not sure if I'd give it another chance but I do want to believe that it was just an off night. The sausage reminded me chorizo. The wonder berry cocktail was very good. I enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. The restaurant is cozy and charming inside and outside. The servers, bus person and hostess were warm, welcoming and very attentive. The hostess put up with my Goldilocks routine of trying out 3 different tables. I chose a table outside of the area they preferred we sit and she graciously acquiesced. We ordered three appetizers: octopus, tuna tartare and potato churros. All three were delicious but the tuna tartare portion size was just too small. The tuna really was delicious but it was gone in 3 bites. Darn! I ordered the duck breast and my guests ordered the special which was a New York strip steak. The steaks were appropriately sized and they each got a whole steak. As for me however, the menu promised me a duck "breast" and I was served two slices from a duck breast and two pieces of tortellini for $52. One of the pieces of the duck breast was not cooked as well as the other but it was enjoyable. The tortellini and sauces kind of stole the show. We ordered two sides: the sweet potatoes and the mushroom. I love mushrooms, but I don't care for the appearance nor texture of Lions Mane as a rule. The texture of this LM was pretty good however I didn't care for the taste. It lacked salt or something. I was disappointed. However, the sauce accompaniment was delicious. The sweet potato dish was interesting because the marshmallow had truffle flavor, but it's very sweet, so two bites and you're done. We had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Meh. However, the croissant ice cream that the server was nice enough to gift us was very good. I thought the wine list was well curated. When I return, because I will, I'll inquire about the portion sizes because I'm still hungry. Lol. Although not, everything was perfect, I had a lovely time and I enjoyed most of what I ate. The servers have no experience or interest in you but your money . The food how should I put this , was very sub par. For the price point I rather have gone to Kirby's or any other place that tries to be something that it's not . Please learn a dish and stick to it , cause everything Georgie tries to be reminds me of a place in Chicago close to the shed aquarium. Any way can't think of it now but this restaurant is a BORE. It's sad when the nicest thing you can say about a $450 dinner for two is "the best part was the bread service." This is especially sad when you are celiac and didn't even get to enjoy the "best part". Here are the highlights of our 3 hour dinner. Slow service. Shockingly over priced drinks. And our sever was not totally familiar with products. When asked questions, he just kept trying to sell the nearly $300 evening special. Every question about items on the menu were directed towards that. When my friend ordered a neat scotch (from the pretty decent selection) with a side of branch water. She received a "tequila & topo Ranch water". My $100 dollar ribeye was barely an inch thick. The lemon pasta was described as having lemon spheres, on each pasta pillow, but they were not there. She said it was barely flavored. The pavlova was a more like a floating island. The domed egg white dessert was placed alongside a watery smear of a cold yogurt with odd texture. We were told it was a sorbet that was melting and to "eat it quick." Pretty dissatisfied on every level. The only thing nice was the decor which was lovely. Hard pass. Least favorite upscale or special restaurant I've been to in DFW and surrounding areas. read more

at first glance most of the menu seemed like the "basic" meats and fish $$$$ joint. BOY WAS I WRONG we ate with a group so we were able to sample many of the items off the menu. as expected, the ribeye and filet were both melt in your mouth magical. the rack of lamb was also really good with a great sauce. the real show stopper was the agnolotti. it was super crispy but the second you bit into it, released a delicious filling that really complemented the crunch. the texture and taste was perfect. i could honestly have ordered it as a stand-alone dish!! for sides we tried the hasselback potatoes, creamed spinach, and spiced cauliflower. all three complemented the meals really nicely. the wine list was really expansive. the pinot we ordered was really, really good. the price is definitely a little steep, but for a special occasion it is worth it. the service was incredible and our waiter was so attentive. after telling the staff that it was my boyfriends birthday, they brought complimentary desserts and alcoholic drinks. would highly recommend and we will definitely be back! read more

Very disappointed. Won't be returning. Restaurant was not even half full. Seated in back table with only a mesh screen separating us from the kitchen. So we could hear the orders being shouted out - very distracting. So be sure not to sit by the kitchen. Service was slow and terrible. Took us almost three hours to get out of there. Once our entrees were served, our waiter ghosted us while checking on the two tables next to us multiple times. Four tables came in after us, ate and left before us because they had a different/better waiter. A middle aged couple near us were wrapped around each other and making out non stop - I swear they were french kissing when we left. Think management should have asked for more appropriate behavior in such an upscale place. Food okay but overpriced - you can get the same thing for a better price elsewhere. read more
