What a chill coffee shop this is. It is on the second floor of what looks to be a wall climbing gym. I saw someone post this drink the espresso tonic and I was like ohh that looks good, I want to try it. So, I did just that. Highly recommend coming here.

Such a cute, spacious place to work, study, or read! I came down here with my book and tried one of their pastries. Although most of the seats were taken, I was able to snag an empty one at the end of their long stone table. I ordered a red bean bun, which was so great. It was so soft and comforting. The red bean was just sweet enough, not cloying. I also got a yuzu drink, which was so incredibly refreshing. Overall, I enjoyed my entire experience here, from the ambience to the food. If you're nearby, try this place!

Service + ambiance were the same as last time. When I ordered: - Mango Coconut Matcha: good color, coconut forward, needed repeated stirring, otherwise the mango would get lost, personally didn't like the coconut flakes

I came here to catch up with a friend over some coffee, and it was such a cute space! The cafe is attached to a gym and is a spacious environment filled with plenty of natural lighting and plants. Their menu has some influences of Hong Kong, such as their lap cheong sandwich, bolo buns, or HK milk tea. Service here is quick and polite. I got their HK milk tea and really enjoyed it. The cafe was really busy, and seemed to be a great space for doing work. They have wifi, public restrooms, but minimal outlets. I would love to come back here sometime.

Georgie's is an airy coffee shop / cafe perched above VITAL Climbing Gym. a short walk upstairs above street level is a fairly spacious interior, adorned with plants. modern clean-to-eye decor combined natural colors and tones. there's a good a mount of seating from bar seating to the large long table that dominates the space to smaller tables surrounding it to seating alongside the stairs leading to Georgie's. expect those seats to be taken as this place is where laptop-pers go to work, so seats are at a premium and you should take one if there's one free. its is very clean space that is well-maintained. the coffee bar serves up a menu of coffee, tea, fizzy drinks, a variety of baked eats, and a few larger bites as well as a small selection of beers. stopped here twice recently. got a cold brew which was NOT GOOD at all...tasted very sour bitter and odd. either the cold brew was under-steeped, or the coffee was too coarsely ground, or the roasted coffee was not good. this cold brew was not tasted as it always should be. maybe this was a one-time occurrence, but I will pass on cold brews in the future. i did come back and got an iced Americano which was perfectly fine and had no issues. it hit the spot on a rather warm April day. i will say the Bird Branch roasted coffee blend (Featherweight, I think) that they use here is just okay in my book...wish they picked a more traditional medium roast. the service is very friendly and quick. the draw, here, is really the chill ambiance and location. definitely a good place to grab a drink and do some work or catch up on some reading if you can snag a seat!

Georgie's is a cafe tucked away on the second floor of a climbing gym! There's tons of natural light and open space here. I was worried that it would be challenging to get a table, but there's a huge table in the middle, some smaller one, and high-top counter space as well. You order at the register, and they call you up once your items are ready. I had the HK Milk Tea and my friend and I shared the Bo Lo Yao and Smokey Grilled Cheese. The HK Milk Tea was good, but it's hard to mess up. Nice fragrant tea and not watered down at all. The food was great here and super affordable. They warmed up the Bo Lo Yao, and it was flaky and had a subtle sweetness. The Smokey Grilled Cheese was nice too, with lap cheong jam and mozzarella on flattened bread. It was perfect to share these two items, as I think the grilled cheese is pretty greasy and would've been heavy if we had the entire thing. Super cute spot! I loved how much greenery and natural light came in through the large windows, and food was delicious as well.

Amazing spot in the heart of Essex. Got the pineapple bun which was AMAZING, hugs and kisses to the baker. The baristas are so friendly & made my matcha latte oat w such love & precision. The space itself is lovely, flourished with monsteras and green plants. An excellent place to catch up with a friend, a study date or to read your book. I will be back to try their milk tea.

Beautiful ambiance with a decent amount of seating, but it can get busy during peak hours. There aren't many outlets and expect most of them to be taken unless you go early. Sold out of matcha, so I opted for the hojicha oat latte which was decent, but the taste of the oat milk brand they use overpowered the hojicha a bit. Was not a fan of the dine-in cups they used (I personally think the type of cup sometimes affects the taste/experience of the drink!). Prices are generally reasonable.

Cute cafe serving a great purpose. Love the fact that they implement a lot of Chinese flavors into their menu, though I will say they are more successful in concept than necessarily execution with some of their items - their sandwich wasn't super flavorful or something I would need to get again, and their coffee is solid. However, I will say this doesn't stop this from being extremely successful with a HUGE space for you to sit and get some work done, a variety of authentic Chinese pastries and interesting menu items to keep you coming back, in a modern setting with TONS of natural lighting - it's the ideal workspace. They also have bathrooms and wifi(though for some reason I was having a lot of trouble getting on it, though the people next to me were not and many people were clearly using the wifi to get work done). Lots of plants and space to sit but it DOES get crowded on the weekends and hard to find a table. Someone snatched my spot as soon as I left kind of busy on the weekend. Definitely check this place out.

Brought a friend to try Georgie with me and it did not disappoint! We had iced matcha and hojicha lattes, and picked an array of sweet treats. I'm the type that if there's egg tarts, I'm getting it. It was very good, I love me a good flakey crust dan tat. We also tried the sesame and ube cookie, they were soft and chewy after being warmed. The sweet that takes the crown though was the ube banana pudding. We LOVED it so much! It was the perfect amount of ooey gooey and we could not stop raving about it. The ambiance felt like we were in a greenhouse with all the indoor plants! Very relaxing with plenty of seating and natural light.

Decided to try Georgie's because I've been on the hunt for good Hong Kong milk tea. It's located inside a climbing gym, but it was pretty easy to find. I liked the concept and the open space was very nice with lots of greenery. All the tables were taken when I got there, it seems like it's a popular spot to work or study. I ordered the Hong Kong milk tea to go and found a seat on the stairs. The milk tea was disappointingly watery and not flavorful :(. I think this place was overhyped on social media because of the atmosphere. I will not be coming back.

3.5 Found a free comedy show at Georgie's; was a good way to check out a new place. This cafe is located above the Vital Climbing Gym, a few blocks from Essex Market. Convenient from the F train, Delancey Station. I remember this area being vacant lots decades ago but so many new bldgs now. Enter via the gym entrance and go up the many steps. My husband said he saw an elevator. Lots of greens and concrete in the decor. Long table in the center and tables with chairs on the sides. Looked very nice. Has a view of the gym. Gives options for milk at no charge, exc. half and half for $0.50. Cold Yuzu lemonade was a syrup with water and ice added. Food and bakery items also available. A couple of restrooms in the back.

Georgie's Cafe and Bar is aesthetically pleasing at its finest, sharing an upstairs space with a recreational complex building. There's a stairwell you move up to a lot of open seating with plenty of natural lighting. I stopped by after seeing a lot of its new social media posted, and was excited for its Hong Kong style food and drink. Like a lot of other NYC cafes, nearly every table was full but I snagged a quick seat for a few bites. The Egg Tart was delicious with a light, flaky crust. I was a bit underwhelmed by the Bo Lo Bao, since it could've used a bit more butter. When ordering pastries, I definitely recommend getting them toasted or warmed up as well. The prices for food and drinks are very cheap (around $4-7 each), so that's a big plus! Staff was also engaging and friendly, and made great recommendations on which items to try. Very beautiful venue, but also I'm unsure if it's ADA accessible since I didn't happen to notice an elevator. (It could be in the back where the bathrooms are, but I didn't get the chance to investigate.) However, still a great location and food stop!

We walked into a space that stood out compared to many smaller bubble tea shops, with a much more comfortable setup and plenty of seating that made it a place where we could actually sit down and enjoy our drink instead of just grabbing it to go. The clean interior and modern décor gave it a relaxed café feel, and watching the staff prepare the boba added a layer of engagement to the experience. The brown sugar milk boba is the main highlight and the drink that best represents what the shop does well. We ordered one and found the brown sugar flavor rich and caramel-like without becoming overly sweet, and the fresh-made boba had a softer, chewier texture compared to many standard tapioca pearls. The drink had a good balance between the sweetness, milk, and tea flavors, which made it easy to enjoy even for those who normally prefer less sugary drinks. Beyond the signature brown sugar drinks, there were also a variety of fruit teas, milk teas, and specialty options. The oolong milk tea stood out because the tea flavor came through more clearly, while fruit-based options like lychee drinks offered a lighter and more refreshing choice. The ability to customize sweetness levels also made it easier to find a drink that matched our preference. The service was quick and the staff were friendly during our visit. Since the boba is made fresh in-house, watching the preparation process gave the shop a more unique feel compared to typical chain bubble tea spots. The larger seating area was also a nice advantage, especially if we wanted to meet up with friends or take a break while exploring Koreatown. The team moved through orders efficiently, and the drinks came out without much delay. Overall, Xing Fu Tang Ktown is a strong choice for anyone looking for high-quality boba in a comfortable setting. The fresh-made pearls, well-balanced drinks, and spacious café atmosphere make it stand out from many other bubble tea shops in the area. It is a spot we would return to when we want a drink that feels more thoughtfully prepared rather than just a quick sweet beverage.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
