We were looking for a local breakfast place with easy access to I-65. I parked on the street with no problem and we were seated right away (10am on Sunday morning - it got busier around 11:15 when we were leaving). While in Louisville, we walked across the big four bridge into Indiana for breakfast. It took us a while to get seated (nearly 30 minutes) but the restaurant was not crowded. Service was leisurely, but we were given plenty of coffee refills. Food was really good, the big breakfast and half breakfast were great and I really liked the potatoes. Quaint eatery, with small outside tables. Service was fine, but delivery of our food was very delayed, ran out of sweet tea, the tater tots were off tasting, as if they soaked in too much grease. Scrambled eggs were not fluffy and toddlers can be picky. Patty melt was supposed to have sauteed onions, yet had red sliced uncooked onions, served on rye when for asked for white. The chicken salad sandwich was light on filling, but the Club was amazing and stacked high. Worst item was soup of the day. Really wish I took a picture, there was no broth and tasted close to erroring on the side of having a mexican brown bean vibe, it was thick and nasty. I loved the sunflowers outside, breakfast was good with an exception of the eggs-they tasted as if there were old scrambled eggs mixed within the new batch-waitress never came back for me to let her know. Pancakes were "the best ever". Orange juice was great. I really loved everything about this place until our waitress got off and left without even giving us refills, the check, or checking up on us after the food arriving. We had to go ask cashier for our bill which she calculated, I paid the tab and was charged more than what my receipt said and asked the cashier. She had an attitude and said she put everything in right and already charged the card..... I won't come back here again, too many inconsistencies. Found this hidden gem after a hungover morning when Waffle House was packed to the Max. I was scrolling through yelp and found Geraldine's. It was a choice I don't regret. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely amazing. I loved how the hash browns are cooked with red onions. Gives them an amazing flavor. And oh my goodness, the biscuits!!! The biscuits are out of this world. They are split in half and then grilled!!! I ordered the Big Daddy Platter and it was soo much food for the price. I ended up making a sandwich out of the biscuit and some of the food from the plate. I mean, I have 4 pieces of perfect bacon, 3 eggs, biscuit, and hash browns that I had them added cheese too. 10/10 will visit again read more

We had brunch on Sunday the 9th of October 2022, we waited 25 minutes, no big deal, we sat and waited an hour to get two burgers and fries, the waitress was nice but she was clearly frustrated as we were. we got no apologies from management and I feel because we're elderly and the big tables got all the attention, several arrived when we did, we're served and finished their meals before we got ours. I tipped the waitress nearly $9 on a $31.00 dollar meal, it wasn't her fault. I was a regular coming 3-4 times a week. The people in the front are awesome but the short blonde waitress who works the back room is HORRIBLE. She gives me dirty looks like she's disgusted with having to wait on me every time I come. I usually sit in the front to avoid the treatment but some days I have to set in back if it's full in front. She stares me down with a mean look on her face and takes her time helping me. I stopped going after a while because it got uncomfortable. I went back today hoping things would be different. I had to sit in back and the evil looks started immediately. I was the first to arrive and the lady up front told her I was seated first. But the waitress in back made sure to help everyone before she helped me. I thought racism was dead in Jeff, but I can't think of another reason why I'm treated so poorly. I'm always respectful, I tip well, and I'm nice to everyone. Her attitude and mannerism towards me is ridiculous and there's no way she should work in a public service treating people this way. read more

Haven't tried the food yet. I actually haven't received it yet. I ordered for curbside pick up at 9:09 AM this morning. I called at 10 AM and said I was already outside but I would wait until my scheduled time if I had to. I called again at 10:30 and was told that it wasn't ready yet and it would be a while. There was no friendly voice on the phone either time I called. Customer service is therefore, in my opinion, terrible here. To wait an hour and 20 minutes and then be told your order is not ready yet for a couple of eggs is absurd. So I will try the food and maybe alter my rating after I try it. But likely, from now on, I'll be smart and go through McDonald's for an Egg McMuffin, the best sandwich ever made. 10:39 AM, and no food in sight. Still waiting. Food was finally delivered to my car at 10:41 AM. I don't think I'll ever wait an hour and a half after I order something ever again. Tried the food. Below average. The Wall Street Cafe is a cozy little cafe on a neighborhood corner where people still eat breakfast and read newspapers (*large pieces of paper with typing and pictures on them). Definitely off the beaten path but quaint. Decorated like your grandma's house with servers almost as sweet. They had a simple menu. Just enough choices to wake you up and get you going. Super cute little cafe that sits about 28 people and 5 at the diner seats. They specialize in the "truely only" home baked, hand sliced Country & Smoked ham in Kentuckiana. This is a "regulars" place and they make you feel right at home. Nice and cozy warm on a snowy morning. They have small pictures in frames of their regulars. One picture is of a guy named ray. (I asked who the picture was of thinking it was a family member). The lady said it was Ray. "He eats here six days a week for breakfast and lunch" she said. Same thing every day. It would ve very wrong to come here for breakfast and not have ham. I got the country ham and eggs with potatoes. The ham slices were sliced thin and fried so it was crispy like bacon on a good portion of the slices. Very generous helping of ham on the plate. I also asked to taste the smoked ham to get a comparison. It was succulent and tender and almost melted in your mouth. The country ham had a beautifully mild gaminess that was delicious. I inquired about getting one of their hams sent to me for easter. They do ship full hams. About $130-$135 with shipping included. Not super inexpensive but I feel it would be quite a treat to grace our family table with such a beautiful ham. Breakfast with coffee was only $9.54. (Generous amout of ham, two eggs, potatoes and two slices of toast). A real hidden gem that I will surely visit again the next time I am in the area. Family owned and operated for over 28 years. After a race in town my friends and I stopped in for breakfast. The food was actually pretty good. The problem with this location though was the service. More specifically the server Danielle. We watched her talk and walk around instead of taking our order then when we asked another server and one of the cooks covered for her.
