Ordered the mixed wrap (all three meats). It was absolutely delicious. It did not need any additional sauce. My only complaint is that the meat was over salted, but not to the level that would spoil the meal. The cuts were nice and thin, just like it should be for this Mediterranean style of food. Is it German? Yes, but not entirely. It is a mixture of German bratwurst/pretzels and Mediterranean savory meat pitas. This is a nice variety. Two thumbs up for this food truck. Fun little food truck with some amazing German street food options. Prices were very affordable and the portions are generous. I would highly recommend this to anyone who craves some donor kebab or pita wraps. I kind of wish they had some pickles and garlic to throw in there, that would've made it a five star experience. They're good but for me, the meat is too salty. The curry wurst is good tho, it's better! The fries were nicely salted. I got the beef and lamb wrap with vegan dill. The dill sauce tasted more like regular vegan mayo to me. I'd be more inclined to get the curry wurst next time! read more

Phenomenal truck and they go all over OC/LA. Literally the best Döner Kebab I have had outside of Europe by a wide margin and a must grab anytime they show up at one of the breweries nearby. The currywurst is also good but I never venture too far further into the menu when I know I have to have that Kebab. I was extremely excited to come across the GermanYumTruck on Yelp and Instagram as there really is not much in terms of Turkish food in LA. Especially German fusion as I grew up eating as a child in Germany. Doener has always been my favorite food and I have yet to find a good one in LA other than Berlins. They however, do not offer currywurst, such a great combination to offer Germany's two most famous and favored foods all in one place! I ordered from this truck at the LA Beer Festival. I ordered the shwarma chicken wrap for $17. Perhaps this was "festival pricing" but even so the wrap was a quite small burrito size, and had barely any chicken in it. It was 20% chicken and 80% cabbage, tomato, cucumber, and tzatiki. I ordered a side of fries as well. They were perfectly cooked, and great. Too bad they were $8! If the wrap were 50/50 chicken to veggies I would review higher. Too bad they skimp on the customer. $25 bucks a plate for a truck lunch is a lot of money. I was disappointed. I won't repeat visiting this truck again for sure. read more

So I've never had German food before besides a bratwurst at Oktoberfest. But since Brewery X had them as their daily food truck and we were hungry, we decided to give them a try. I ordered the Döner Heaven (combo #3) which the food came in a filled cone box. It was pretty cool and a big portion even though it didn't look like it. I ordered the beef n lamb protein for my order and added the classic sauce with feta cheese. I was iffy about the sauce and got it on the side and after finishing my food, I wished I got it on top of the food. Everything was fresh and had a good taste. If I could give German Yum Truck, Samuel (owner) and his team 100 stars, I would. They are truly as good as it gets, if not better. From the start, when I contacted Samuel about possibly booking him for my daughter Emma's party, he was responsive, kind and professional. Emma and I eventually met Samuel at one of his events in Anaheim in October, so that we can try his food offerings before booking him for Emma's party this past weekend (January). When we met Samuel at his event (first face-to-face encounter), he was extremely welcoming and generous, genuinely happy to have us taste his food which were all DELICIOUS, fresh and excellent, and very easy to talk and connect with.
