Our experience this morning was truly disappointing. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, with one waiter handling, not only the inside, but also all of the outside tables, which were mostly full. We ordered coffee, both hot and iced. The iced coffee had so much syrup in it that it was undrinkable and the hot coffee seem to have been sitting and tasted burned. It took over half an hour for our food to get to the table and when it got there, it was ice cold. When I asked to have mine remade, all they did was throw it in the microwave, making the toasted bagel a chewy inedible mess drenched in lava like cheese. Coffee refills were never offered, and once the microwaved food was delivered, the waiter never came back to the table. We had to go inside and hunt him down to get our check. While they did take the uneaten sandwich and two soft drinks.(??) off of the check, the experience was so bad that I doubt that we will ever return. It's a shame because when we have come here in the past, it has always been great food. read more

The food was great! The portion size is perfect as a brunch due to the previous nights festivities! The quality of service from the staff and owner are awesome! I will come back here again. I gave 4/5 stars due to the table size and family of four squeezing into the table and the larger table is in between multiple people so getting up and out would be a chore. But it's not the owners fault just size of restaurant compared to size of tables and they have to make a profit so the more table means more profit which is totally understandable. Recap! Food is great!! The taste of my breakfast burrito was fresh, the meat was cooked just right. The spices used was not over bearing and quality of the tortilla was cooked perfectly. The burrito held up just fine and did not spill out. The cooks are Experienced at what they do and it shows in the quality of food. Astonishing service, the men were so kind cooperative and caring with their customers, they treat everybody with the upmost respect. They treat you like kings and queens, Food is to die for. Empty on a Saturday night. We went in for dessert and had the Rockslide brownie and crème brûlée cheesecake. There was no creme brûlée to the cheesecake, more of a caramel sauce on top. All the reviews for how long it takes to receive food are accurate-2 desserts and we waited about 15 minutes for them, and that was with nobody else in the restaurant. Cute environment. A Family owned and operated hidden gem very near the UofA, in University Blvd. Park in the Tyndal Garage, toward the Northwest corner and it's a short walk to GERONIMO'S. Not really hidden, because they have been in business for years. Mom is the Owner/Chef. Her son is the Chef. The servers are another Mom and Daughter Team. The dining area is quaint, comfortable, and very clean. The food is exceptional. They serve breakfast and brunch, with selections that are simple, savory, and amazing. There is also a middle eastern menu with all the greats; gyros, shawarma, falafel, hummus, dolmas, and Baba Ganoush. I promise you will not be disappointed. Eggs Benedict and Mister Lemon juice were really good. Unfortunately there isn't enough staff. It took 15 minutes to get a menu and a lot longer to get our food. Table was dirty. The outdoor courtyard is beautiful. Hire more staff! read more

My wife and I came to this establishment because it had great reviews! Well to our surprise, it was not all what it seemed. I totally understand the Arabic twist on this after eating here but it was not clear when I first came. So I was a bit confused when I got a whole metal kebab with 4 pieces of vegetables with my Eggs n stuff meal. Not a big deal except for the fact that I paid 4 DOLLARS for a side of bacon. It came with 2 pieces of bacon. Not just bacon, but undercooked - genuinely raw... the pig was still snorting. Anyways, it was not edible. The server was very nice though! I will give them that. Well, until we brought up the raw bacon. She was not very helpful. It had a nice outside setting as well. But we never had anyone check up on us for our food, and this was not busy at all. I had an empty water cup for 20 minutes. Overall, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a good breakfast spot. read more

Id rather wait in line for 3 hours at six flags for a roller coaster than get honeydicked at this restaurant waiting for my food. Couldn't be worse service. Went and bought snacks across the street because it took so long. We're staying at the 8 story hotel across the street and after a 3 hour long visit at this restaurant I had to be talked down from the ledge. I ate my meal with my coffee spoon. Good food! I had the All Meat Breakfast Burrito and my partner had the Fruit Crepes! A little greasy on the burrito but more than enough food. The only thing wrong would be the wait time due to short staff. We were the only ones in there which I believe is based on location. It's a little hidden place on University. Quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had from a customer point of view. Ordered online, waited over an hour for an update. Called the restaurant directly to purely ask for a possible ETA on our food and the female manager immediately told us that they were busy and would get to our order once everyone inside had been served. I explained that my order has been placed close to 1.5 hours ago and that she's telling me it hadn't even been started. With a condescending tone she then told me that it's not her problem and that they were busy. I asked to speak with a manager and was floored when she told me SHE was the manager. I said there's no way, may I speak with your boss then? She hung up the phone on me. I gave it a few minutes to call back and then again, major attitude and when I asked for the owners name she said" I don't have fucking time for this." Awesome customer service from a MANAGER. It gets better, I called for a final time to purely get the owners contact information so I could pass along the feedback about how unprofessional and rude this woman was, then there's a man yelling in the background. She said "that's the owner" he got on the phone and started screaming that if I didn't understand English (in a heavy accent on his end) than it's not his "fucking problem." I cannot believe a place like this is even in business. If you cannot staff a restaurant to prepare for a Sunday brunch volume, maybe you should look at WHY you have no staff if this is how you speak to a would-be-first time customer. If I could rate this place lower I would. Don't waste your time or money, I sure as hell didn't and won't ever attempt to again. read more

Do not recommend. I only ate a 1/5th of my meal and even though I was so thirsty I didn't want to drink the water. I got the meat breakfast burrito and I should've read the description better because it was not good. It was like eating a burrito full of chopped hotdogs. The hash browns were not good either. The part that disappointed me the most was the water. I was so thirsty but the water tasted so bad that I really didn't want to drink it. I've been to restaurants where they give you tap water, but this water had such an odd and unpleasant taste. The restaurant isn't the cleanest or the most pleasant setting. Went for breakfast as it was close to the hotel. Have to say that the staff were kind. The location was great. Just a heads up to others who are thinking of going to be aware that the food did not match the descriptions nor the photos and the cleanliness could be improved. A coating of who knows what on the condiments and salt shakers. The mixed greens salad contained iceberg lettuce and the spices potato's were tater tots with a spice coating. When we called to try to rectify our order, the girl answering I don't think had a brain and then transferred to us to her dad who was also was extremely rude. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Ordered delivered by grub hub and when we opened our food we found a long hair in the food. I called the owner who was very rude and said the chef doesn't have hair. After a few minutes of this lady being very rude, she tells me she will give me a credit for next time I eat there. I will not be eating there every again and the rest of the food was awful. Highly recommend not eating here. They have no customer service skills at all. read more

I'm pretty sure this place changed owners and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the ultimate Benedict and my eggs were over cooked and the spinach was drenched in oil. My eggs came with extremely soggy and full of oil hash browns. Seemed like they were cooked 6 hours before serving them on my plate - not fresh at all. The latte was amazing, but after i wanted more coffee and i got regular coffee and the mug was dirty with a ring of old coffee. I sent the coffee back and they gave me a clean cup with new coffee which i appreciated. Overall, not the greatest experience. I don't think i would go back. I would advise others to really think about spending money at this restaurant. read more

i wrote the super good review but now can't stand it! roommate threw up twice. took 30 minutes to have them FIX OUR BILL because theywssed it up. brought us an extra side of hash browns and then charged us for it. roommate found a hair in her food. when she told them they said oh. took 45 minutes for toast and what was supposed to be scrambled eggs. it was a weird omelet thing with nothing in it. they got mad at us for them messing up our order. three of us had to send our food back. roommate has thrown up three times. i am about to throw up. so are our friends. please do yourself a favor and do not go here. read more
