This was my second time going in a few years and the trip up the mountain is very worth it. These burgers just hit different. I got "The Director" with an added onion ring. They aren't pictured here, but I also got the jalapeño caps which were also very good(fried jalapeños). Make sure you dip them in the ranch too. Burgers were good, fries were okay, and staff seemed friendly to customers. There was an error with my order though. I ordered onion rings, and received fries instead. My bf's cousins' order was wrong also, they forgot to add cheese on one of the burgers. They were annoying minor errors. I chose to keep my fries, and my bf cousins' gf just ate the burger as is. ** We were 2 medium sized groups, so I can see how there could be an error or 2. Nonetheless, it was annoying. *** When we made it known that the orders were wrong, the cashier & cook got into a minor argument in front of us about the orders. That was a bit awkward. We shared The Leading Man Burger (added bacon) & a side of onion rings.  This burger ain't no slouch, if you like InNout this is a bit higher level than that.  Quality is spot on, juicy (you'd expect a bit of a mess) & very filling. Nice fresh buns & crispy awesome onion rings. In town for the weekend. Wanted a burger. Ordered, Waited, & Waited, And Waited, Ate outside , And Left Chose this place because of the ratings. Did not anticipate the 45 minute wait and outside (luckily the weather was nice enough) A little windy but warm.) Inside was completely full. Only about 10 'ish tables or so anyways. Food was good, but honestly - Nothing special. Had I known - I would not have gone there because of the long time to get your food. Price was definitely over-priced for it overall. But what-the-hell. I'm leaving this review as I'm waiting for my food. I ordered a burger and a side and have been waiting for 50 minutes already. The wait time for food is absurd and the prices are higher than they should be. I have yet to taste the food as I'm still waiting, but regardless of how good or bad the burger taste, this wait time is ridiculous and I would not come back. I finally received my order an hour and five minutes later and the food was mediocre. They should not be rated as high as they are and they should have at least two $$ for the price. read more

Cons: Unseasoned patties, unflavorful bacon, dirty tables. I really, we really wanted to like this place. Pretty disappointed with this place. We drive up and they ask you to wait in your car or have seat at outside table. We pulled up and had windows down with drivers door open to make it obvious we were there and ready for food. We waited 20 min to order. The staff was disorganized and it was not in order at all. Other cars pulled up after and would be helped first. We patiently waited and after we ordered our food it took another 25 min. We went to a fast food joint and waited and hour to get our food. It would not have bothered me so much if the food was good but it was not. Ordered the John Wayne and the my wife got the cheeseburger. Ordered 3 Burgers 2 side and drink and it was like $60. Too pricey for a burger joint. Tater tots are horrible, burger was bad. Maybe this place is better when you eat inside with atmosphere and maybe better service. But our experience was horrible and would be difficult to return to be honest. Get it burger- I would organize and prepare when cars pull up so you assist your customers more efficiently. Absolutely would eat here again. After a fairly uneventful and boring drive up to big bear my wife and son were hungry. We had to wait a few hours for our friends to make it up for the weekend we decided lunch would be good. Since my son isn't old enough to even crawl we didn't let him make the decision. I let my wife decide where we would eat otherwise we would have ended up at sizzler. She did a quick look on yelp and said let's do Get The Burger. We walked in and placed our order. My wife had warned me ahead of time that people said the wait times get long. So I figured it would be 30 minutes or more to get our food. There were quite a few people inside but I think we waited between 5 and 10 minutes from when we ordered to when we got our food. My wife ordered the leading man and I ordered the duke. We exchanged a bite of each other's burger to see how we each liked them. I thought her burger was good but mine was better. She thought mine was better too but I only let her have a bite. We shared a large tater tot and those were very good too. My wife was regretting the fact she didn't order a milkshake so I went up and ordered a pistachio milkshake for her. I tasted it and I could tell other flavors would be good but I'm not a fan of pistachio anything unless it's just the nuts by themselves. She said it was good, but that's her kind of thing. A few things worth noting: The tater tots were a bit on the more well done side...I love that but if you are reading this and you don't just know they came out somewhat crunchy on the outside. The milkshake and fountain drinks are a bit on the pricy side but if you don't want to pay the price for them then simply don't order them...they have both coke and Pepsi products so that's good because I hate Pepsi and I'm sure a select few people actually like Pepsi but I've never met them. Leaving this review, as my husband and I are both vegan!! This restaurant is very cute! Clean, unique little diner. They have the Beyond Burger (as I'm writing this) as an option, about $3 extra if I remember right. The bun has egg in it, so we got the burger "protein style" (wrapped in iceberg lettuce). The special sauce is 1000 Island based, so they replaced it with ketchup. The menu items are very clearly labeled. I did not ask about the onion rings or tater tots, so we shared regular fries. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of our questions without us having to explain anything or go into any detail! They clearly cared about what and who they were serving. The wait is a little longer than what most diners of this nature have you waiting for, but that's good! And the burger was very good (again, considering the type of restaurant this place is) and the fries were also really really good! Lots of burger joints tend to half-ass vegan or vegetarian options, but these folks really took their time to make it good. They also checked up on us a lot which was very kind.
