We visited Giada for my daughters 21st birthday! We had 14 in our party, with a reservation at 7pm on a Sunday. We had no issue walking right in, the ambience is gorgeous. The place was pretty pricey. The service wasn't always but I came with a large group and I don't know if that contributed to it. Other than that, the cocktails were good, the food was delicious and super filling. I don't know whose idea it was to order the assorted meat and cheese plates but it was both a good and bad decision - yummy but by the time my entree came out I was stuffed. The steak was amazinggg. Just had brunch here! Everything was delicious. Our waiter was Billy and very attentive and very nice. We had the carbonara pizza, Waldorf salad with raisin walnut croutons and a frittata. Came here with my boyfriend during a quick trip to Vegas, and while the food and drink were absolutely wonderful, the service of a particular person in this establishment has motivated me to write this review. Lindsay in the lounge was amazing! She was prompt, professional, and really made us feel welcome. Spent the weekend in Vegas celebrating our anniversary my girlfriend gave the choices of eating here and Gordon Ramsay steak. While she gave me a choice she reviewed menus and ultimately decided on Giadas. We arrived and there were several young ladies waiting at the top of the escalator one checked us in while the others just talked.....we were sat down pretty quickly and given menus. Only to find the menus had changed a bit and the dish my girlfriend had made the decision on was no longer on the menu later confirmed by the waiter. He was a friendly guy refilled our water glasses several times seeing as they were a bit small and we didn't order alcohol because we don't drink. I ordered the lobster ravioli and she had a pasta with shrimp....we also ordered calamari and shrimp as an appetizer. The calamari and shrimp was very very greasy, like something you'd get from a neighborhood fish and chips spot not quite what I expected from a restaurant like this. I got my ravioli......which again was very disappointing there were like 4 or 5 and a bit cold. Pasta is best al dente yes, but this had almost a not quite ready bite to it. Two pasta dishes and greasy calamari and shrimp set me back over 100 which I don't mind paying for to have great food but this was far from. Was so excited to go to Giada's for my daughters 21st birthday with a group of ladies and sadly disappointed. We were tucked away in a small room so missed out on the beauty of the restaurant. We ordered 7 dishes and the portion sizes we're ridiculously small and so overpriced. I completely understand that you are paying for atmosphere and location but it was ludicrous. My friend ordered a side of Polenta and it was a 2" scoop, lol. We laughed about it and when the bill came we cried. Four stars because of the excellent service with a friendly and energetic staff. My coffee and water were constantly topped off, which I personally use as a gauge for service at restaurants (I drink a lot of water). They even provided a side of blueberries though it didn't come with the Waffles. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Waffle had a pleasant crunch to it but fell flat in terms of flavor. Keep in mind, I tend to be more of a pancake lover. I tried one of my eating companion's lemon garlic potatoes and they were a solid accompaniment to his meal, but again nothing to write home to mom about. 3 stars Giada...sorry/ not sorry. We love you, we have all of your cookbooks, but the food in your namesake restaurant is a pale and distant comparison to your books. The highlights: the bread, the salmon, the fried chicken. The lowlights: the branzino (but you can't call it that if it's not a whole fish), the cacio e pepe, and the prosciutto and cheese tiny plate. The cacio was dry and lifeless, and we felt that the prosciutto tiny plate was prepared earlier in the day and refrigerated (it was), and the branzino....please, it just wasn't branzino. The prices were 5 star, the service was 3 star...I was asked twice to move my used plates over so my next course could be served - I don't mind doing that but I do mind when I'm paying a premium for the experience. We were having dinner with some friends in Vegas. They picked this place for dinner. And though I had seen the signs for it many times, never tried it. OMG what a great experience. First of all the restaurant is in the Cromwell hotel. That hotel has been fully remodeled and its lovely. This restaurant is a large open space, it is very inviting. It has soft lighting, beautiful accessories, and for such a large space it was remarkably quiet. The place has extra large windows and it was such a lovely evening that they opened this huge swing out bay of them at the main part of the restaurant. Man that was so nice! I love it! There courses are small, but very filling. The appetizer list has some amazing choices, like the chicken meatballs, yummy! The wine list is large, but as I usually complain about the wine list, the prices were a bit much for me. A 24.00 glass of wine for a Napa Cab, that I could have bought in the store for 8.00 a bottle. So there I said it! :) But the food was amazing! The pasta is all made in house, so its rich and dense and the boys all said it was great. I had the salmon which was served on a large rich slice of beet, and some amazing sauce drizzled on the side. We had such a nice time here. The atmosphere was stylish but light. The service was FANTASTIC! Its nice to see that in a world where everyone is in a hurry, and no one seems to care about anyone but themselves. I think you should try this place. It was worth every penny. read more

My friends and I came here last weekend, when I was visiting Vegas. My friends and I ordered bottomless mimosas since it was around brunch time when we got there, and it's 30$ for bottomless. Also, the level of service was excellent since the servers are very tentative and also made sure our glasses of champagne were always full with just a splash of orange juice lol. This restaurant shouldn't get anything less than 5 stars! The customer service was superb!! Our waiters were Jesse and Christian and they did such an amazing job attending to us along with all their other tables. Everyone was smiling and having a great time and enjoying the food. The manager who was there the night we went was John and he was sooo friendly. He came and talked with us for a few minutes asking us what brought us to the restaurant and telling us a few things about himself. He gave his card as well so that we can send him an email that he would forward to Giada herself! I look forward to coming back the next time i'm in town and trying more dishes :) read more

While I'm at it, I will not complain about prices because it is a fine dining restaurant on the strip, with a beautiful strip view, so you get what you pay for definitely. I really wanted to give it 5 stars. My meal was amazing (Turkey Panini). But the service wasn't great, they forgot my soup and my wife's lasagne was a bit better than average. Also, it's really apparent if you are not a "somebody" you probably won't get the service you deserve. At $18 for a sandwich and $24 for a lunch lasagne, it should be better. This restaurant is the perfect spot for an amazing brunch or lunch. The vibe was relaxed but still felt classy. Our waiter was super attentive to our needs and made recommendations for us since I was there for the first time. One of the major perks was they had a bottomless mimosa for $30 and a regular mimosa was half that cost. They kept the glasses full with champagne so you got your money's worth. The meal came and it was everything I hoped for. I got a lobster roll and my husband got the lobster hash. The portions were a good size and the flavors were beyond delicious. The only complaint I would have is that some items on the menu weren't explained as well as they could have been. For example, the lobster roll was more like a lobster crostini and the fried zucchini was actually shoestring style. It didn't matter though because I easily finished my entire plate. I didn't have dessert but saw some and they looked incredible. We will defiantly go back. Also, I'd say this isn't the best spot for kids so leave them home if you can. read more

Horrible experience! We paid $50 ($25 per person) to sit by window which we thought we would see the Bellagio fountains. Instead we were seated next to the escalators and building. Waste of money and they could have cared less. The food was so awful. We ordered a few things but the main thing was carbonara pasta on a pinwheel and it was inedible, we left the entire pasta on wheel and plates and the waiter didn't even ask if we liked it or not. I love Giada. I spent most of my highschool-college days watching her on food network. I was so excited to try out her restaurant, but unfortunately, I wasn't blown away by her restaurant at the Cromwell, neither by food or decor. It does have awesome views though. We started out with the assortment of bread, and two HUGE veggie, meat and cheese platters. I enjoyed the roasted mushrooms, sweet peppers and the bacon wrapped dates. It was a lot of food, very salty too. The breads are yummy! Was truly full by the time we were done with it and a lot was left untouched. For the main I got the Shrimp Spaghetti - the shrimp was overcooked, pasta was okay and warm-ish - let's just say disappointed... or maybe it's the full belly talkin, but either way overcooked tough shrimp on a signature dish is not cool. After that we indulged in 4 different desserts with coffee (souffle (it takes 15-20 minutes btw), chocolate torte, chocolate tiramisu and lemon hazelnut torte) The lemon dessert was good - nice and tart. And boo, the photobooth was broken. Service was good, our waiter with a thick Italian accent was charming, answered all our questions, paced the dishes out nicely and checked in on us often. Me and the wife were looking for a place to have a nice dinner while out on the town. We went with the dinner tasting menu which was good but I don't know about $300 good. The best dish was the lemon spaghetti. I definitely wouldn't get the tasting menu again. I would have preferred to choose my own appetizer vs the tasting menu which offers an anti-pasti platter to share but they decide what comes on it. Its hit or miss. Ours came with bacon wrapped dates which I would never have ordered for myself and I didn't really like it. The filet I got was the tiniest steak I have ever seen in my life. Not that I was expecting a 10oz portion but still. My wife had the chicken ciacciatori style and only ate half. She didn't seem overly impressed by it. Service was excellent. I took my 4'10" Japanese girlfriend here and the 2 of us demolished a seafood tower advertised to feed 2-3 people. It was $86. and probably overpriced but a nice dinner. The oysters were decent. The crab legs were good. The lobster salad thing was good. I really wanted more.
