My new favorite sushi spot. I have only ever ordered to go but every roll is such high quality and the price is amazing!!

My girlfriend and I use to love coming here but over the months it seems it has just been gradually going downhill. I don't like sushi so I never got it but my girlfriend almost always got the sushi and she normally sticks to the same three rolls. The last two times we've gone there she had the same rolls each time and we went home with really bad stomach aches. Never got sick, but that was enough for us. I normally get the lunch box or the sesame chicken dinner. The last two times we went I had gotten the sesame chicken lunch box and the teriyaki chicken lunch box. Their miso soup was great just like normal, but their salads are very hit or miss. Second to last time we went my lettuce was bad (wilting and had A LOT of pink/brown spots everywhere) and the very last time we went the lettuce was a little better looking BUT right after I took my first bite of it I spotted a tiny lime green colored bug on one of the pieces of lettuce. I have nooo clue what kind of bug it was nor did I care to ask. I simply put my salad aside and just let it go. I know I know you're thinking WHY Didn't you say something about it?! Here's why. The owner woman was there and I had no intensions of getting into it with her that day. (Keep in mind I have acid reflux and overall stomach issues before you read this next part) One day before all this We had gone in and I wanted to try something different. I saw that they offered vegetable yakisoba noodles and thought that it might be a nice change. Normally yakisoba is a safe bet for me it's normally pretty mild for me. So I order it, and when it comes out I can just smell all the spices they used to cook it. Before I even took a bite I had a bad feeling I would not be able to stomach it because of how heavily spiced it was. And by spice I don't mean hot. It wasn't a spicy heat that you get from hot sauce or anything like that, by spice I literally mean the overall concoction of herbs and spices they used to cook it in general. Well I took a bite of it and immediately it just sets my stomach on fire. Like hell had just re-birthed itself inside my stomach. To be fair I took a few more bites just to see if it would get any better and it just didn't. I asked my girlfriend to try it and even she said her stomach was on fire afterwards. So I set the dish aside and waited for a waitress to walk by. Someone comes by and asks if everything is okay and I told her I couldn't eat it, that it was too spicy for me. She looked worried and asked if I wanted to send it back and I said yeah thank you sorry. So then the owner lady walks out holding my dish in her hands and puts it on the table and goes "you no like yakisoba?" And she just has this look on her face like she was ready to bitch me out. So I tried to stay calm and I said that it had too many spices in it and my stomach can't handle it because I have acid reflux disease. She interrupts me after that and goes "there's nothing spicy in it we don't use spicy in yakisoba" so I attempted to tell her that it wasn't hot spicy but that the spices an herbs they used in the dish was the problem. She cuts me off AGAIN and says "we just cook it in sesame oil there no spice!!!" So by this point I was ready to go rounds. I finally get my previous sentence out to her and she goes "but there no spicy!!!" So I said okay whatever you say but I cannot eat this. So she stands there for a second then goes, "do you want to take it home?" I said no I can't eat it why would I take it home?! And she just continues to ask me if I'll take it home until I finally just gave in and said yeah fine I'll take the damn thing home. My girlfriend shared her gyoza with me for the remainder of the meal and I left more pissed off than I ever had before from any restaurant in my life. This place is lucky I even came back two more times!!! Anyway back to the lunch boxes, so there was a bug in my salad an I set it aside and finished my soup. My box comes out and I get about half way through eating it before my stomach starts hurting. Everything tasted fine, I had the teriyaki chicken, tempura vegetables, white rice and of course the noodles they always put underneath your entree meat for a filler because they're too cheap to give you a full portion of meat apparently. I don't know what it was that didn't agree but once my girlfriend said her stomach was hurting as well as I watched her painfully try to suffer through her normal sushi rolls we had just finally had it with this place. If you can avoid the owner this place was pretty nice but now they're food is suffering along with the tyrant they have running the place. I won't be back and it makes me sad because this was our favorite Japanese place. read more

Terrible sushi unless you're ordering specialty rolls. Their California rolls and Philadelphia rolls are absolutely gross and taste old. You're better off going to the grocery store. read more

"Owner" (owner's son everyone is talking about) is beyond rude. He apparently thinks it's okay to make rude comments as a family is walking out- enough for my 4 yr old to feel uncomfortable. He accused me of leaving too much food and asking for a check in advance to get around their policy. We left a plate of scallop rolls because they were dry and disgusting. I'm not going to eat your crappy food just because of your policy. I had no problem being charged for it. I put my kid in the car and went back so he could charge me for my leftovers but he said he didn't want my money and was rude and dismissive. Didn't even apologize for his behavior even after I told him he made my kid uncomfortable. I would've been fine with him explaining their policy and charging me for it like a normal restaurant worker would. If they care this little about their customers I can only imagine what kind of food prepping goes on in their kitchen. Food is what you'd expect from an AYCE sushi joint- dry and low quality fish. Friendly service. Not many options to choose from on the Lunch Special. Wanted the King Tuna roll and couldn't order that. I ordered my usual salmon sashimi. One order is only 2 pieces. :( The baked mussels only 2 pieces, also. The baked salmon was a good sized piece, though. Another customer asked me what it was bc it looked good and it was. Review on: Management/Owner/Customer Service I've been coming here for a long time. It's really not my personality to complain, in fact this is the 1st time I've ever posted anything on yelp. There's many times I've seen the owner smoking outside the restaurant with the sushi makers which I thought was very unprofessional and bothered me but I decided to pay it no mind because I like their sushi. But today when I came in for lunch I had the worst experience that I ever had going to any restaurants. While trying to figure out what roll to order. I asked the owner about the Oishi Roll, Red Dragon Roll & Gin Roll, after she told me I decided to go with the Oishi Roll & Dragon Roll. I told her I want the Oishi roll and the Dragon roll. She told me to mark them down on paper which I did, but inadvertently mark down the Hawaiian roll which is next to the Oishi roll. When one of the server brought my order, I told her that I didn't not order that roll. The waitress was about to take the order back when the owner with her stern voice told her to leave it because that's what I marked. My question is, if she knew I mark that by mistake how come she didn't let me know. Also she was very rude to tell me that since I marked it that I have to pay for it. I argued with her and told her that I told her verbally my order and she agreed that I did tell her my order but I marked it wrong. She also told me to eat it that it was good. Any ways I ate my Dragon roll and left the Hawaiian roll untouched on the table. I payed for my meal including the roll I didn't touch and lefted. The owners is very rude and very arrogant that she doesn't need to treat her employees and customers with respect. She makes it feel that it's a privilege to come here. But we've been treated so crappy the last couple times by this lady, who we think is the owner, that we'll never go back again... Allergy to avocado--- every time we've been here, they have always put the avocado on the side.. EXCEPT this time, the waiter said no problem but the lady came up & said "we don't do that.. It's either on the roll or not!!" We said, "every time we've been here & sat at the bar, it hasn't been a problem.." She said, "well the bar is different." What's in the roll is in the role; either you pick it out, because it's only little bit or you don't get any at all. No changing the roll." Been coming here for about 7 years. I have brought a ton of new customers. Came in today for AYCE, we ordered six roles for our second round (3 eating AYCE) the owner walked over and made a comment about if we were going to be able to eat everything...thought it was a little rude, like she was micro managing us. She then sat at the bar and kept looking over at our table...was she scared my four year old was gonna take a scrap of food from the AYCE plates.!? We spent 75 bucks for Lunch and she made it feel awkward and uncomfortable. We have been loyal for years never coming back. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would!! We are literally leaving the parking lot of this place and I could not be more pissed off. We went in and ordered 2 all you can eats and the chicken gatsoup or whatever. The staff was rude and very awkward. They then told us we could only order 3 orders for the all you can eat...... Umm??? I ordered a California Tempura roll and forgot to ask them not to put spicy mayo on it. When it arrived at the table, I realized this and asked if they could remake it without the spicy sauce as my kids do not like spicy foods. The waitress took it away. Then shortly after, the owner returned with the same roll saying "it's not that spicy" and "you didn't say no spicy mayo." I informed her that nobody would eat it but she insisted we keep it at the table. I told her that I realized at that point that she wasn't going to remake it nor remove it from our bill and that she should take it away and give it to her employees. We went back and forth with this a few times and she walked away with a sarcastic smile on her face saying "somebody will eat it." ...not to mention that she and the waitress completely ignored us and another server finished out our service and closed the check for us. I guess I was just shocked that she didn't care about us having an item that the kids would eat....even when I admitted that I didn't specify no spicy sauce, I thought she would have been kind enough to make it right. My boyfriend and I came here earlier for AYCE sushi. Everything tasted delicious up until I ordered the King Salmon roll. We each took a roll and noticed it tasted really fishy and pungent. Neither one of us wanted to eat the last piece and we let the waitress know that it didn't taste good. She and the owner were bringing some of our other rolls at the time while my boyfriend expressed our dissatisfaction with the roll. While the waitress was apologetic, the owner kind of sounded like she took the complaint too personal and came off as confrontational. At the same time as she was setting down the plates of sushi, she was just shoving the other plates on the table around. I had to quickly move everything else on the table before anything spilled or fell. The after taste of that roll stuck in my mouth. Ginger and fresh wasabi weren't removing it and I unfortunately lost my appetite. They also forgot to bring some of the rolls we marked on the menu We finished our first round of AYCE no problem. We ordered our second round but again, I lost my appetite and got full on top of that. My boyfriend tried to eat as much sushi as he could so we wouldn't get charged for left overs and we cancelled the rest of the orders. The son I assume, brought the check and said next time don't eat so much. Couldn't help that our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and maybe if that king salmon roll didn't kill my appetite, I definitely would've mauled up that second round of sushi. Fucking prick. I read the other reviews after the fact and noticed many other people have had issues with the owner, manager and the son. Great tasting food. Every sushi roll was distinct and flavorful. We had had 5 different rolls and they were very tasty.

SUSHI WAS BOMB. Everything was good up until there was a bit of a mix up.. our 2 friends both had an all you can eat and my husband and I were getting individual rolls. Well we ordered 5 but got 4. So we thought, we mention it to the waitress politely, and she was sure she brought out our crunch roll. We were like no, and we went over what we got and was brought to the table. Waitress insisted that she brought it, so my husband was like, okay that's fine don't worry about it, she even went to the back to confirm it.. now keep in mind we made noooo big issue about it what so ever, and also keep in mind it's a small space... minutes later, here comes this big guy, one of the workers, and talks SUPER LOUD, to the point that everyone can hear him coming at us with a stern voice. "WE GOT IT ON CAMERA, WHERE YOU GOT YOUR CRUNCH ROLL". Proceeds to show us on his phone. Talk about RUDE and EMBARRASSING! We made no big deal about It! It was $7 bucks whatever. After that loud little talk we had with this Asian looking guy, we just felt uncomfortable because he kept watching us like we were gonna steal something! We mentioned it to the waitress and she said he's just scoping out since apparently they've been robbed in the past. Food was good, but service was horrible, I paid for all you can eat and I ask for a little extra plate for my 2 year old so I can give her a few pieces of my california roll, so the manager walk to me and said I need to pay for the whole roll he start saying that non restaurant give food for free, I told him Im not asking for free food and he give me such a bad actitud so he charge me $18.95 for all you can eat plus almost $5.00 for thr few pieces of california roll that my daughter ate, i won't come back just because the manager actitud not a good way to treat your costumers. read more

I had Evan and he showed up twice for the whole hour and half I was there. Every time I asked for something, he'd walk away and never come back so I'd have to ask someone else for it. So I came here on new years eve and I was on one simple mission, to stuff myself one last time before I would have to make my new years resolution. Upon arriving I was very happy with my selection and decided this place would be my victim x] I ordered from the ayce menu and was initially very surprised to see such a huge selection of rolls. After ordering our first round we had to wait a good amount of time for all our food to come out. Keep in mind we ordered one app and 3 rolls. When the food came out I was quite satisfied. The gin roll, in my opinion, was the best but from there it was ehhh. The service was relatively slow; there weren't that many customers there. But we waited and after we destroyed our 3 round of sushi the owner seemed to have decided that we had enough by not giving or menu back. By the time we asked for our menu we were pretty full and we had to finish up cause we were going to watch a movie. Overall the biggest upset was that I couldn't stuff my face till I explode like fireworks on new years but other than that the food was good. Above average quality for the fish and other sea dwelling creatures we brutally chomped and digested, and fantastic selections. Come here now!!! Or else. If you're looking for a sub par all you can eat sushi place where they babysit you to make sure you finish every last grain of rice then this is the place to go! We had a member of our group with dietary restrictions not allowing her to eat the rice under the sashimi , and she asked if she could either have her rice made separately or just not include it. They refused , which forced the rest of our party to finish her rice in addition to our own , or else we would be charged. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm not a picky guest by any means and usually I'm patient but this was out of control. Starting from the moment we walked in, instead of being greeted or being apologized to for our wait, we were rudely told we had to pay a 20% tip. Once seated, we made numerous requests for drinks and basic utensils which we didn't get until after the food arrived. On average, it took about 5 requests to multiple servers to get what we needed. Sushi is mediocre at best which is why the prices are reasonable but if you want quality, pay for it! Service was the worst I've seen in years. The waiter placed three rolls in front of us that we did not order then walked away. After about ten minutes, the waiter returned to our table, grabbed the rolls, and delivered them to another table. After this happened, we watched as a different waitress delivered one of our rolls to another table and left it. After some time passed, the waitress picked up our roll from the other table, brought it to our table, then denied what she had just done when we called her out. Even the people from the other table had to speak up and voice their concerns. The staff could care less what the customers need or want. This place will never see our faces in here again and wouldn't mind making a call to the health department. Better off going to Sushi Boat at the mall or Fire Fish. read more

We went here for lunch, all you can eat is $19 per person and does not include a drink. Also, the all you can eat menu is very limited. We normally go to all you can eat sushi once a week in Murrieta for $15 per person for lunch but because it is a longer drive from where we live in Southern Temecula, we decided to try this place. Service was fok, the rolls not so much, not great at all. The food presentation was maybe a 1 star at its best. This place is way over priced and not that tasty! When we got the check, I noticed they only charged us for one person and not two, so I told one of the servers that I do not mind the discount but they made a mistake and only charged us for one person. He took the check without saying thank you for being honest or thank you for catching that, he said nothing and walked away!!! We walked up to the register when he did not return with our new check and the girl at the register who originally gave us the first check just looked at me and gave us the corrected check and did not say thank you! To top it off, the sushi chef went outside right in the front of the restaurant, to smoke!!! I hope he washed his hands before he made more sushi rolls! yukkk read more

Sushi is mostly rice, expect bare minimum quality. Each roll seemed more and more similar with the same sauces, bland fish seemed to all taste the same. Servers were nice I could tell they were trying. Poor management is focused on the wrong things. read more

I had high hopes for this place since it was the go to place from the dentist office. Took my daughter and it was pretty busy so thought it was going to be really good. The food came out and it wasn't bad but during the course of eating a foul odor started to permeate the dining area. No one seemed offended so thought it was just me. Primarily living in west Hollywood, and coming to Temecula a lot, it was definitely going to be a challenge to find a good sushi spot in this area. First, their fish and sushi quality is there! I have never had an issue with the freshness or consistency of the flavor or taste. Next, lets speak on speed. There is not much of a wait for the food. I think its the perfect wait time. Enough time to relax and settle down, but also short enough that you get your food at the right time. They are extremely friendly and positive group of people. I will never go back to this place ever again. I ordered some Gyoza (Japanese pan-fried dumplings) and it's only made in the kitchen since it's fried food. I sat at the sushi bar directly across from the kitchen and the kitchen curtain was open so I was able to see the cooks making my food. Once my Gyoza was cooked, the 2 chefs in the back were sampling my food sticking their entire hand in their mouths like they hadn't ate in days. They then proceed to grab the rest of my Gyoza with their unwashed hands that was just in their mouths and served it on a plate to be sent out to me. I immediately lost my appetite half way through my sitting and informed the manager what I had just witnessed. The manager apologized to me and said he will tell his Cooks to not eat during work hours and continued to charge me the full amount of my "All You Can Eat" bill.
