Employees are rude, level of customer service is horrible. placed the order over the phone, when I arrived I was front of cashiers about 4min all the people inside and behind the cash register even didn't Acknowledge and approached why I'm in store and what i need. After left the place I made phone call to talk to manager and give feedback to leg them how employees ignored me, when I did ask for his name he rudely told NO WHAT IS YOUR NAME, I explain what happened he told me it is what it is you don't have to come here if you not happy. If that is the mentality of store manager what do you expect from his employees right? Also I called to corporate office and left a voicemail 2 times no one ever bothered to return my calls and I think that customer satisfaction and feedback not matter for here at all. JUST A REMINDER: during the Covid shot down city of laguna had signs everywhere and asking support local business witch is I did fully support them at that hard time. If you're from the East Coast... this place ain't it for you. Generally when I order toppings on pizza, they usually show up.. on top? But no, they were buried under a layer of just barely melted cheese. Between the thick crust and off putting cheese to topping arrangement, this gave real birthday party at the bowling alley vibes. Flavor was okay, but couldn't save this ship. Also ordered a salad which was full of wilted lettuce and the meatballs were fine. Definitely had better quality at their Costa Mesa location so I'm not sure where the disconnect is. Bummer because I've heard great things. read more

Small restaurant with good food. 8 od us shared a margherita pizza, a veggie pizza, and a cheese pizza along with a family-sized salad. A problem with the order was quickly addressed and remedied. I had great expectations for Gina's. I am a college student, me and my friends decided to watch the sunset at the beach. We then hiked up and looked for a pizza spot. Gina's was right on the corner- after looking at the reviews, we were excited to try. Upon entry, we were greeted with great customer service from the young man with a beard working at the counter. Then, when it was time to order, I was given the older man, manager, owner, whatever he is-- he was extremely unprofessional and straight up disrespectful; not assisting with menu, being standoffish and scoff. He didn't care that I was there-- maybe he thought since I was young I had no money to spend. After placing my order, I was signing the receipt. He watched me write the tip, which after this bad first impression, I did not give a tip. 1, he was rude, 2, my total was only $10, so a 20% tip would be $2, and 3, he doesn't know my financial status. He looks at me and says "what a treasure you are," then proceeds to slam his hand on the counter and rip the receipt off the table. I do want to say that the service my friends and I received from the other younger man, was outstanding! As for the food, it had flavor, but was undercooked and doughy. Usually a fan of Gina's pizza. Today, I was not amused by the quality of the pizza I received in my take out order. I brought my large bbq chicken pizza home to devour with my family and was absolutely shocked to taste the black charcoal on the bottom of the pizza. Instead of having a lasting taste of bbq goodness, I had the texture of ash in my mouth. As soon as I flipped over my piece, I saw the entire backside black. I continued to check the remainder slices and noticed that a majority of the pizza was burnt at the bottom. Long story short, I called the pizza place to tell them that our pizza was completely burnt on the bottom. The manager was very nice and said he would make us a brand new one. Moral of the story - ALWAYS CHECK YOUR PIZZA. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I ordered an eggplant parmigiana hero, and what I wanted was eggplant parmigiana separately from the bread. Well, THIS is what I got; soggy/greasy coins of eggplant that tastes as if there's some cayenne pepper laced into the thick bread coating, with the sauce (very peppery) on the bread with MAYBE some shavings of mozzarella cheese underneath. All for the "bargain basement" price of $10.00 I guess I wouldn't be that upset if I didn't walk 15 minutes to get this slop. To make matters worse, I called, and the kid that got a 20% tip basically said oh well. Don't go here, customer service and doing the right thing by a customer is an unknown phenomenon to these kids who obviously couldn't give a rat's ass about pleasing the customer. This was borderline 5 stars from me. While I enjoyed a lot of "California Style" thin hand-tossed pizzas with light cheese, thick sauce and roasted veggies while on the west coast one of the last nights there had us craving some drunk food and walking out of the Sandpiper spotting this place--it beckoned. So yeah, a medium "Godfather" loaded with meatballs and pepperoni, pastrami and garlic...and the cheese is thick and gooey,the board is greasy. It truly ruled. Those ricotta cheese bits with 3 sauces--AMAZING. Cookies too? I probably gained 5 pounds eating all of this on a stomach full of beer right before bed but I loved it. Lousy pizza, some of the worst I have ever had. They gave us someone else's pizza, not what we ordered and we did not realize it until we get home- I hope whoever got our pizza did not get the burnt pizza that we did. No big deal, except the pizza was badly burned- as soon as I opened the box my 5 year-old said "dad, that pizza is too burned to eat". She was right, the garbage can ate well tonight. Our parm chicken and garlic bread were badly burned as well. Domino's would have been much, much better. Pizza Pizza Pizza.. I've been coming to Gina's since I was 5 (unfortunately I'm old and 43 now) when it was located on the other side of PCH. All I can say it's the best pizza in the business. The employees are all down to earth and friendly, which is what you want in the beach environment. I drive well over an hour just to come hang at this place and eat pizza by the beach. Most importantly throw a side salad with your pizza to add the perfect complement with the delicious ranch. I give Gina's 10 out of 5 stars... oh man I ate too much... read more

IMO the pizza being made at this particular Gina's is not up to normal Gina's standards. North Laguna location was way better and actually had staff that cared about the quality and its customers. Will probably never come to Gina's again. Get it together south Laguna. read more

Extremely disappointed customer who has been going to Gina's Pizza since the 80's. from the one in CDM, to the one in Laguna at the Vons shopping center and also the one at Oak Street where I was last night. And last few times I have been to the one at your Oak Street (Laguna Beach) location, and the one at Boat Cyn, before they closed, the food has been absolutely horrible. Last night I ordered Chicken Parmigiana on Penne Pasta with a side order of Cheesy Garlic Bread and the entire dinner was just awful! The only thing that I have ordered in the last few years that is even decent, is the pizza. I wanted to give it one more shot ordering a meal, because I figured the last couple of times, could have just been a matter of a cook having a bad day, or one bad recipe, but this was proof that Gina's has definitely gone downhill over the years. Ordered a small pizza with sausage and mushroom to go. When I started eating it, all I could find was muschroom. I even called to say they'd gotten the order wrong. Then I lifed up the cheese, which they now cover the toppings with so you can't see how chintzy they're being. There were some tiny crumbs of sausage. Completely could not be tasted. It had been a good wile since I had payed a visit to Gina's before last night and it was just as good as I remembered. They have a awesome variety of pizzas many of which have a delicious combination of toppings and totally fill that pizza hole in your stomach! You can also make your own pie if you don't like the varieties they have already came up with just like any other good pizza shop. The store is located on PCH so parking can be a bit of a struggle especially on days when it gets quite busy in Laguna so be prepared to find somewhere on the street and have quarters ready so that you can feed the happy parking meter! You will reacquire your quarters that were spent on the meter if you check in to Gina's and dine in because once your checked in you receive a 10% off coupon that can be applied to your order! Free money baby!!! Out of all the delicious sounding concoctions they had we decided to order a Godfather pizza & a chicken parmesan with the pesto sauce because who doesn't like leftover pizza the next day!!! The chicken parmesan was pretty good a bit salty for my taste but still good all around don't know if I'd order it again but some of their other dishes did look quite delightful including the antipasto salad! The Godfather was wayyyy good filled with lots of toppings and was just delicious and would definitely be a pie that I would want to have again. Generally you can't ever go wrong when you order something from anywhere with this name because usually it's just one of the best. GO HERE IF YOU WANT AWFUL SERVICE AND MEDIOCRE FOOD. I came to help to share my experience but it seems like a lot of people have had the same experience so just beware, because if I could give less than 1 star I would!! I don't like leaving bad reviews... however, the service we received tonight was atrocious, despicable - whatever synonyms that go with those words ... I called for a delivery order, which i had to do three times because the first two times the phone was picked up, I could hear noise and laughing in the background and then hung up on. Third time, a man answered the phone (come to find out his name is Steve) And i ask to place a delivery order, and he sighed, "fine" I continue, giving him my street address, he snaps at me waiting for me to give him the city name, so I said Laguna Beach, like two blocks down from you, he said "I've lived here my entire life I don't need directions" ok? (Umm to note we've had 4 delivery guys in the last two weeks get lost here but okayyyy) then he goes, "oh oceanfront makes sense now" ... In a super sarcastic tone. I'm now getting irritated but I let it go and finish placing the order. So I put the phone on speaker so my friend can give her card to him to pay, and she's super nice to him, and I ask her to grab his name which she does by saying thank you, by the way what your name? He replies with JOE BAG OF DONUTS AND HANGS UP!!! I walked to the location (we're only a 5 minute walk, I was being lazy) and I speak to a sweet young lady, and explain what happened, how upset I was, and ask to speak to the manager. She has the same man who took my order talk to me, and he said what do you want! SERIOUSLY!!! I explained that I'd like to pick up our order and that I was the customer who just placed my order with him, that it was unacceptable to speak to a customer like that, and he said it was a joke. I asked if thinks it's also funny then to hang up on your customers - to which he does. And also isn't sorry by the way, said that I can't take a joke, I told him he should be ashamed of how he's treating his customers. To which he replied, he's not SIR THIS IS NOT A JOKE. And so I wait For my order and notice two delivery drivers leaving ... and I asked them to please check my order because I had been standing in the shop. Turns out no one told them so someone was headed to my house to deliver my order *insert facepalm* thank goodness I was there, the driver was nice, he just handed it to me If you want to give crappy service that's one thing- but you can't expect to treat someone poorly, and then there's no consequences? Hence my review today. Whoever management is, you should really think about: 1. Give who ever that girl is a raise, because she was keeping it together, which a smile on her face under pressure as well as handling a upset customer. 2. Either Steve needs to be taught basic customer service skills again, OR he's got to goooooo. I have never ever seen someone be that blatantly rude to a customer, and then be so blasé when being held accountable. These guys don't wear masks properly and they allow customers to come in without masks at all. It's as if they don't understand that there is a DEADLY pandemic, HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS disease in Orange County, CA. I am so upset I don't know where to begin, but since this is my mother's favorite pizza in Laguna, I gave them 2 stars. One of the food prep guys had his mask around his chin, others wore them under their noses. None of them wore n95's. Gina's employees please wear your mask to protect my 91 year old mother! Gina's managers and owners, please provide your employees with proper protective wear that is comfortable and maybe buy them some air conditioning? These guys are hot and suffocating and clearly stressed out. You MUST fix this. I've purchased from Gina's dozens of times. Tonight I place an order for delivery. They tell me it will be an hour. An hour and ten minutes later I call and ask if my order is on its way. I'm told it should be here any time. An hour and twenty minutes still no delivery. I call and Audrey the manager says it's on its way and should be here any time. After an hour and thirty five minutes, still no delivery. I call and speak to Audrey again who has yet to pick up the phone to ask the driver where he or give many any accurate information on where my order is. The pizza is good, the delivery guy is sweet as can be, but they've got to make some changes and add people or open the North Laguna location if they want me ever ordering from them again. Like most places near the beach is a hit or miss mainly a miss. Staff was friendly and welcoming til i had to call back about food. This isnt a pizza place is a bread with cheese of some sort, heavy hard "crust" and cheese just didn't settle well on the white. Had one slice and my wife had margherita that had some creamy sauce. Took few bites and just made us bloated have had bad pie in my time but this is upthere in bad taste. This was an awful experience. I went to this location on Saturday & I wish I could dispute the charge. I did dine in, & I received my pizza almost two hours later. We were told an oven was broken & thats why there was a delay. We were not told this when we ordered though. When the pizza came out it was burnt on the edges & raw in the middle. A clear attempt to crank up the oven to speed up our already late order. I somehow managed to eat two pieces before I took it home & threw it in the trash. I have been to other locations & the food was amazing. This one is not though, so I would steer clear. Unless you want to throw a $28 pizza in the trash. Was in town for the weekend and craving pizza. Decided to try this place and did not regret it. Conveniently ordered online to have it delivered. The wait was not bad at all, and the driver was super friendly. They supplied us with plenty of napkins, plates, utensils, ranch, peppers and cheese, which were greatly appreciated. When we opened the box, we were super pleased. Bf wanted extra cheese and they did not skimp on that. It looked incredible. Crust was good too. Had wings as well, and they had a great spicy flavor and were meaty and big! Came with celery and carrots too. Really enjoyed Gina's. Would get again when in the area. read more
