Just tried for the first time and was nicely surprised. We did takeout and it was great. We ordered the lunch specials and they were huge for the price and the food was very good. We both had spicy garlic chicken. I actually ordered the shrimp so mine was a mistake (I would have given 5 stars if the order was right). It's 25 minutes from my house so I didn't want to send my husband all the way back so I ate the chicken. It was so good I wasn't as annoyed as I should have been. My husband had the chicken terriyaki and I had chicken finger as our appetizer. Both were very good. We also had the hot and sour soup for the extra 1.25. We expected a tiny portion due the price but it was a normal size soup and well worth it. We moved out here from the north shore and still drive back there into Boston when we have time for Chinese, it is not great out here in central mass. But this place was the best we've had out here so far. We'll def go back and will try dine in as takeout is never as good as eating there. read more

Food is just okay, ambiance is run down, and the staff is extremely rude, condescending, and demanding. They demand tips from customers and rush you when you're trying to order food. Manager with baseball cap and glasses, if he's not the owner, will throw a hissy fit in front of the whole restaurant if he's not happy with how much you tip the waitresses. Then they punish people you know in the community by refusing them service and/or delivery. Hope this place shuts down and they get new owners and staff/management. read more

Terrible service. Ate here on 9/23 with a group of friends. Service was absolutely terrible BUT we still left a 15% tip on the 380 dollar bill. The server then he the audacity to confront us and tell us the tip was not enough for them. Talk about entitlement issues.... Wish I could take the entire tip back now. Will never return to this place. Even saw cockroaches on the floor below us and we didn't say anything. NOW WE WILL. Stay clear of this filthy place. read more

We used to frequent Fuji at this location until moving out of town. Friends generously gave us a gift card for Christmas so we were happy to try out the new ownership. Overall we found it very disappointing. The overwhelming thought we had was "bland". The dipping sauces were bland. I ended up adding more soy sauce to the fried rice. I ordered the steak and chicken combo and they were underwhelming. The shrimp appetizer seemed a little undercooked. I don't think I'm a high maintenance guest, but I was a little annoyed that the chef twice missed my plate, once splashing the ginger sauce onto my sleeve and the other time rolling food down the front of my shirt. That didn't help my impression of the place. As is usually the case in a hibachi restaurant, the beer list was poor. This was maybe a step worse than that as the Harpoon IPA was in a bottle and warm. There was a gentleman at our table who had one of the Chinese dishes and C thought that looked good, so maybe if we go back we will skip the hibachi. With Sara just down the road, we will stick with that as our hibachi of choice. read more

I come here about once every 2 weeks as I live really close and this is one of the best Asian restaurants in Central Mass and probably the best Japanese steakhouse I've had since I lived in Los Angeles years ago. The food is excellent, the service is always amazing, and the owner/manager always greets me and has a smile as he knows I'm a regular. If you're in Central Mass I highly recommend Ginger Garden (previously Fuji restaurant). I don't write reviews very often but this place is well worth the time to write one. read more

The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating and the waitress was very attentive and nice as well. I started with the vegetable tempura, which was hot and delicious and then has three (3) sushi rolls. The sushi was decent, but nothing impressive. It seemed fresh and did the job, but I've definitely had much more interesting and delicious sushi rolls elsewhere. My only complaint would be that the decor is very outdated and in rough shape - there were tears in most of the chairs and you could tell there hadn't been any renovations in a while. I had to find a new restaurant to order food from and a friend of mine goes here. The food is a little bland at times but way healthier which is good for my acid reflux condition. I love there moo goo gai pan and gyoza and although I wish they used chicken broth instead for the wonton soup it is still good on a chilly fall evening with a nice big mug of hot tea. If I could recommend one thing it would be to please add complimentary fortune cookies like every other place does I love to dunk them in my tea. read more

If you don't care for salt this place is good. We received a coupon in the mail for $10 off $50 so we decided to try this place. We got a volcano roll some crispy tangerine beef, beef fried rice and chicken fingers. Sadly we are unimpressed, everything just lacked flavor except the volcano roll, that was actually pretty good. We wanted to try this restaurant out being spoiled by the NYC metro Asian Cuisines so we ordered a few dishes...first the classic Wonton soup. Piping hot with an unusually good flavor really the best I ve had and filled with succulent dumplings. We tried egg rolls and spring rolls...also good traditional flavors and crispy not greasy shells. I ordered beef Moo Shee. The dish came with 6 well made and tasty pancakes..many Asian restaurants make them so thin that the stuffing invariably breaks through and makes an unpleasant mess..not here...this was a plus. My wife got stir fried veggies with shrimp..well made fresh and sauce was delicious. The shrimp were prepared well not over or undercooked. Oh we also sample bone in spare ribs nice and meaty. No negatives. All for $ 43.....a bargain ...we liked it...This is our Christmas Day restaurant when all the others are closed Christmas update...wasnt disappointed! I call in for a delivery order a late Friday night (around 12AM) and I requested it to be delivered with a payment method of cash. The food was terrific. (I mean well beyond perfect). Pork fried rice had a lot of sauce in it which I've always been a fan of. I never requested for more sauce on the pork fried rice, but Ginger Garden's chefs knew what they were doing. Other items in the order were great. Beef teriyaki was well done and crab rangoons had a nice new taste. The duck sauce I've tried in the past weren't as sweet, but the one that came in the order had the right amount of sweetness. Delivery was fast than expected. not sure how this over sized mall food court place gets 4 stars. food was at best average, my wife's kung pao had near zero flavor and those red flakes which ought to have some heat were tasteless decorations. my sashimi was meh. Service was bad and food unacceptable. We waited fifteen minutes for a waitress to order our drinks. Doing the meal two in our party ordered a refill of tea which never came. Two of ordered filets which were cut so small it was impossible to cook them other than well done and threw was absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. At $25.00 per entrees this was unacceptable. Last week I ordered delivery. Had never ordered food here or gone to the restaurant. I ordered from Grub Hub which lets you put in special instructions if needed. In this area I explained where I live. I'm not going to get specific here, but my instructions were good. Anyways, the delivery driver called my house, was parked two houses down, and told ME since I can see his car HE would be waiting at his car for me to pick up the food. I had to go out in my pajamas to pick up my food. SMH. If I had not already paid the tip via Grub Hub, he would have gotten a buck in change. The boneless spare ribs were greasy, very fatty, and basically inedible. All the meat had a weird after taste. The vegetable lo mein was adequate. This place is great. We probably visit in person or get take-out once a month. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The manager/owner is attentive. We usually get Chinese which is very tasty. The boneless spare ribs and scallion pancakes are top. The five flavor shrimp are super yummy. The food comes out promptly. The sushi is flavorful. We have never had hibachi but that side of the dining area is always a lively happy sounding place. We have done delivery often and it comes fast even with a large order. Reading all the reviews, i decided to try this place. The food was extremely oil soaked, almost like the oil was old or burnt, but it was not good. Funny my wife didn't say much when eating but after i said something she agreed. Maybe we caught these guys on bad night but honestly won't be going back the food just was not that good. So, my go to Chinese restaurant sent me home with spoiled food (see previous review from another local restaurant), and I was in the mood for Chinese takeout. I had heard so positive reviews about Ginger Garden and wanted to give it a try and I was not disappointed. In fact, the food was good and was just what I expected. I had a selection of items from the menu, and they were all appropriately cooked and flavorful. The house fried rice was quite good. It's hard to rave about Chinese takeout because you have certain expectations and Ginger Garden hit every one. Is the food phenomenal, well I would argue that is not what I wanted. I wanted good quality fried take out Chinese and that is what I was served. Price wise, I would say the restaurant is in line with similar establishments. Actually, better prices than a "fancier" Chinese restaurant that served me rotten rice.
