I did not like one thing I ordered from this place. It all tasted a bit off to me. The crab rangoon had too much cream cheese, the fried rice was poor, the chicken fingers were extremely chewy. It may be different if you actually eat in the restaurant but I had a hard time finishing my meal. Visited Ginger Garden for my birthday dinner. Off the bat the restrooms were disgusting. Not going to get into specifics. Sat down at the table and the lights were blinking obnoxiously. Ordered dinner for family of five. Chef arrived and had trouble figuring out who ordered what. Of course, my daughter received the wrong order so the waitress was called over. After 2-3 minutes of heated deliberating which was very unpleasant and awkward, the waitress brought 5 shrimp to the chef to cook after everyone had been served. I ordered steak and scallops. My portion was smaller than the kids size steak order. My wife had egg shell in her fried rice. My glass of water was empty 10 minutes into the meal and was never refilled. If you're going to spend over $100 for dinner, this kind of experience should not happen. I cannot encourage you more to choose a different restaurant. read more

This place is very very good. The service is fast and the people are nice. They cook right in front of you and have little games and tricks while they are cooking, it is a little expensive but I say it is worth it. Finally the food is also very good. I am very impressed. read more

Horrible sanity conditions. The old owners separated all the raw meats, fish and poultry before cooking. Next owners. All raw meat, fish, chicken on one platter. Then they burned it. Used same utensils for raw and cooked never cleaned. Someone will get sick eating here. read more

Ordered delivery tonight which was pretty fast. And that's why I'm giving 2 stars. I payed almost $50 for a thing of rice, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef and 3 soups. The soups were 2 chicken noodle and hot and sour. The hot and sour soup was not too great. The teriyaki chicken looks very weird and tastes weird, like fake chicken if even . The broccoli beef was good until I found a hair in it. The rice was alright. Don't think I'll order from here again. read more

We had a great dinner at Ginger Garden. Our group had sushi, hot entrees, and ordered off the hibachi menu, and loved all of them. My favorite thing was the sweetheart roll, since it came out in a heart shape! So cute. I also really liked the sesame chicken. It wasn't greasy like it can be sometimes. Went to Ginger Garden on Saturday around 4 o clock. They were completely dead. It was just two of us. Figured we'd at least get decent quick service because of it. Nope. Our server never introduced herself, just came over and asked for our drink order. She didn't even say hello. Came back, dropped our drinks off, took our order and walked away. Their crab rangoons are the absolute best. (Probably the only reason I'll ever come back. Not for dine in- but just to pick up take out for their crab rangoons. Big maybe) Delicious. We had those to start. Then we got sweet potato rolls for our meal and they were so gross. Disappointing because I remember loving their sushi. The sweet potato didn't seem right and it lacked the right flavor. Food started off great, ended poorly. Waitress didn't address the fact that they were hardly touched. We got spicy mayo with our sushi so our mouths were on fire and we sucked down our drinks and waited WAY too long for refills. It was incredibly frustrating. I even tried standing up to get someone's attention. The bartender (not our server) ended up coming over to check on us I think? She took our refill orders and just never came back with them. The server comes over to "check on us" 30 minutes later.. I informed her that we ordered refills with the bartender and never got them and have been waiting. She said okay, and still took forever to get them but eventually does. After we're done eating! My card was out on the table because at this point we just wanted to leave. She came over with the check and refills and picked up my card to go run the check! I stopped her concerned because she didn't even let me review the check. Extremely unprofessional. I noticed she charged us for 4 drinks. I said oh there's no free refills? She says no while walking away. Didn't speak to me about an obvious concern. I did not expect to be charged for drink refills that took WAY too long to receive and were ordered through two people. On top of bad tasting sushi. Never in my life have I ever tipped under 20% (I used to be a waitress myself) but this server shouldn't be allowed to serve at any restaurant with how inappropriate and unprofessional she was. I would gladly list her name on here, but like I said.. she didn't bother introducing herself and it wasn't listed on our check. I'm not cheap - it's not about the couple bucks added for refills.. it was the blatant disrespect and neglect towards customer communication. I would have stuck around to speak to the manager but I had already wasted an hour and a half being there waiting for everything while the place was dead. Didn't feel like waiting around for her to fetch the manager.. would have taken another 20-30 minutes. Just a tip, re-train your staff. Hadn't been here in a long time so we took a chance. Ordered egg rolls, pork fried rice, sesame chicken and crispy beef for the two of us. Portions were more than enough, we took home half for dinner the next night. Was pleased with the quality and taste, beef really was crispy (in a good way). Was not happy with the service though. Waitress forgot to bring the rice until we asked and she noticed our tea was low and on 2 separate occasions said she'd bring more but never did. After all the great reviews, Finally went to Ginger Garden last night. The food was excellent, BUT the service was not. In all fairness to the waitress, they may have been understaffed. Ordered Crab Rangoon, which was terrific, my husband ordered hot and sour soup, which he never got, fried rice, excellent, cashew chicken, excellent, and general's shrimp, which was ok. Crab Rangoon came out after about 15 minutes, 15 minutes later, rice and chicken, 10 minutes later shrimp. After eating and waiting 20 minutes had to get up to look for the waitress to get the check and take home container for leftovers. Because of the good food, We will try again, but maybe just for take out. read more

I had my birthday dinner here and everything was wonderful! The atmosphere, food, and staff were spectacular. The owner, Dennis, was super accommodating to my vegan/oil free diet and he prepared a dish of steamed rice, veggies, and vegetable maki roll that was just what I wanted. The rest of my family was able to order right off the menu and everyone was highly satisfied. I strongly recommend his establishment and I will most definitely be coming back! I bought 2 vouchers from Groupon that was saying that I was allowed to use one for myself and give the other as a gift. We went to this place last Friday and never have been so humiliated! Time to pay and I gave the coupon to the waitress and she said that she would accepted and called the manager because her English was very limited and she could not read it. The manager without read or look at the voucher said that he was honest and we should be as well If we don't have the money we should not get out of our house. At that point I thought that he was confused or not understand what I was showing him, but then he said loud that dishonest people was not welcome there. The bill was 36,00 my voucher was 40,00. I was so embarrassed that I just want to pay and leave. My husband was so upset that he told the manager that he was unskilled deal with the costumers and he should check the voucher first before the accusation even though we tried to explain to him that was not our fault if he was not aware about Groupon campaign and we were only using what we have bought. I have read the reviews and decided to go here for hibachi dinner. This is the 2nd hibachi restaurant I went to since I moved here. The chef we had was not as entertaining as the others, we basically ate a fried rice with burnt eggs, a medium rare steak turned to medium well, bland taste veggies, and almost burnt shrimps. It's a horrible experience for us, plus the exhaust was not fully working that night so smoke is all over our faces. Food was not worth the price. read more

I have eaten there once & gotten takeout a couple of times. The food is delicious, fresh & non greasy. You can tell your food was cooked when ordered not sitting in a wsrmer. The lunch plates are enough for 2 & a great value. The place is very nicely decorated , clean & pleasant. The staff is nice although some have a hard time with english so you Need to be very specific when ordering. My only negative is that their takeout menu doesn't match the numbers in their computer so make sure to tell them what you are ordering. I recommend this restaurant as a fresh alternative to the other similar places in marlborough. The crab Rangoon are to die for as is the garlic sauce shrimp & chicken.
