Was supposed to be a sausage link
    Joe Z.

So now it's more like a McDonald's where you go up and place your order and there's a big sign. You pay and then you gotta get up and go get your food. No waitresses no plates no utensils. I asked the girl if the sausage is sausage link and she said yeah and I ended up with sausage patties. the plastic fork were so tiny and flimsy. I broke it on an omelette. ham and cheese was supposed to have the mushrooms and some greens, but it didn't.

    Chicken Caesar wrap

Horrible service. Horrible food. Smells like wet dog inside. Ordered a wrap for $16, got a lettuce tortilla with stale croutons. Waited 40 minutes for it too.

We have always had wonderful meals at Gino's! Chef Randy is so talented from Jerk chicken to chicken parm and pizza! We have had it all and love it! Margaret is a personable, well trained bar tender, who makes great drinks, especially Manhattans! Love it!

My wife and I felt compelled to give a review to this place because we came here while on the beach across the street and the convenience of it, despite the negative reviews. The other reason was they really explained the ingredients on the menu well and it seemed like someone cared. We were very pleasantly surprised, and this is definitely a 5 star for this misquamicut beach area and we like everything we got. The Rhode Island chowder was as good as it gets, the jerk wings were very good and the fries were that average frozen fries. The service was very good (Carmen was our waitress and she was very pleasant and attentive) and you can tell they care and we were told the staff was replaced from last year due to lack of caring, which might explain the previous negative reviews. If you are in this area we would definitely give this place a try.

    Smoked Salmon Bagel????
    Scotty K.

Our food ok. I've never seen a smoked salmon bagel presented this way. I don't believe it was correct. The service was ok. The waitress was outside and inside so she didn't come back to the table often. The places is very nice inside and out. Not my best meal at Gino's, but I'll be back to try again.

    a pizza in a box

I did like Gino's until tonight. we ordered a margherita pizza and a side of fries to pick up. it wasn't a margherita pizza. it was a burnt cheese pizza. so gross! the French fries were very soggy. totally disappointed!

I just live in a different part of Westerly and any way I'm more of a loose leaf tea girl. I do like a fancy cup of joe though. This place has tons of options. I got the espresso con panna (espresso -tiny cup- with freshly whipped cream). Hubby got his basic black iced coffee. I loved my coffee. It was the perfect shot of energy I needed And it wasn't bitter or acidic at all. I also liked that the barista warned me that it's a tiny cup. I remember how sad I was the first time I ever ordered a real espresso. There were soooo many things that I wanted to try here. They had canned tea or coffee drinks with chaga, over night oats, various cookies, scones, biscotti and more. I bumped into two people here and there were a bunch of people chatting with friends or catching up on remote work. They have a book/magazine rack, free WiFi, and a cute shelf with items for sale like baby onesies, and mugs. I will definitely stop in more often.

There were 6 of us for brunch and none of us had been here before. The Shipwright's Daughter rivals many excellent experiences we had and surpasses most. The staff was super friendly and did everything they could to make our experience memorable. The brunch menu offers a nice assortment of options as we had one member in our party who had some eating restrictions. We started off with both raw and roasted oysters, both of which, we some of the best we have ever had. I love Shashuka. I've never had it with tomatillos. This version is now my favorite. I enjoyed the play between savory and acid. I chose my eggs to be prepared over easy expecting the yolks to add the desired richness that tomatillos can handle without overpowering their bite. What set this version apart for me was the addition of the pickled vegetables. They greatly complimented the tomatillos with their own sweetness and acidity that made for a well balanced bite. Others in our party felt similarly, that their meals were so flavorful and so well execucted that it made for a superb dining experience.

After our drinks were dropped off, our server never checked back in to update us on the delay. However she did check in after we got our food. And our waiter Iggy was a delightful and attentive server. My wife's sea bass was delicious. And I have little else to say that's positive. I had the toro appetizer. It was tough, chewy, and drowned in so much marinade you couldn't taste anything else. I honestly didn't know toro could even be chewy. Sent back the first order thinking it was cut wrong. Second was just as bad. And they didn't take it off the check. Lobster pappardelle was nearly flavorless -- void of seasoning -- and I needed a magnifying glass to find the lobster in this dish. There were numerous service mistakes that I won't detail here. Suffice to say it feels like nobody is managing the dining experience. I've had better service in most diners than we had here. With so many great restaurants in the area, you'd be better off driving by, taking some pictures, and going almost anywhere else. (Try Ella's. It's a gem.) Believe the one-star reviews posted here. I'd do the same if not for our excellent server and my wife's entree. But we left wishing we'd just ordered a pizza.
