OMG ...... I do not like to leave bad reviews, but Things are really very wrong here Completely empty at the busiest time on a saturday night I felt maybe it was the holiday But it started with my wine coming with a chemical smell like it had been sprayed with a cleaning product The salad was okay I had to wait a long time for even water Ravioli was drenched in oil and hardly seasoned It's like the owners are gone or it's changed But this is not like it was when I came here years ago

    House salad with house dressing

First time here, new to the neighborhood. Interior was typical with front counter and dinning area. The place was not very full, and we had to wait for the hostess to seat us, and 3 different people came and said she would be right with us. She was not very welcoming. Or waiter chris was new but super friendly, accommodating, and had a good sense of humor. We came to try the homade pasta . I had the garlic alfredo with fetechinni. The sauce was ok, the pasta was too thick and flourery which made the sauce flourery as well. He could have used more parm in the sauce, but it was garlicky. Came with house salad with house dressing, which was good. Also came with hot rolls, which we yummy just needed a little salt in the dough. There were no butter or seasonings on the table. The other dish we got was amatrciana, which was spicy Italian sauce with panchetta and onion on mostacolli. This past was better because it was extruded and the thickness controlled. Sauce was flavorful. The side for this dinner was the minestonni. Which was delicious with plenty of flavor and ingredients. The star of dinner was marinara on a meatball side. The balls were a little dry, but the sauce was outstanding. We had a bottle of chianti, which was reasonably priced but a little warm temperature. The total bill was about 100 without tip, not a bad value. We did not try the pizza but may in the future.

Awesome pizza and salads! Ordered a couple pizzas on a Sunday night and it was perfection. Not greasy and super fresh and crispy. Their salad dressing is the best! Highly recommend

The heavy and dry paste they slapped on top of spaghetti - it couldnt even seep down to the bottom of the dish! Disgusting.

Update your hours online, called at 8pm and they said they are closed even though online it says they're open until 9pm.

It's okay, but not what it once was. Not busy and great service. Salad dressing is awesome! Dinner food is mediocre.

We both ordered the 8 oz filet mignon, and it did not disappoint -- cooked perfectly and super flavorful. Her daughter got the kids steak and fries -- the steak was great, fries were just decent. Now let's talk about the appetizer... the shrimp with the Parmesan crust? 10/10. Easily the star of the night. We also shared a bottle of Riesling, which was only about $24, making it super affordable. Service was lovely. The staff checked in just enough without being overbearing, and they even surprised us with a birthday brownie, which was such a sweet touch. The ambiance was also really nice -- one of those versatile spots where you can dress it up or keep it casual. I had on a tailored sweatsuit, my sister wore jeans, and we still felt perfectly in place. It's definitely a spot you could come to for a date night, family dinner, or even a corporate happy hour. Overall, our bill came out to around $160, which felt completely worth it for the quality, service, and experience. I'd absolutely come back.

So wrong!! A REAL Chicago pizza is basically a full-blown cheese & toppings filled pie with a thick bottom crust, generous amount of cheese and the sauce piled on top like the grand finale. We stopped at Giordano's in Gurnee and ordered a 14-inch build-your-own w beef, mushrooms, and onions. "Large" apparently means "feeds a small village" because this thing was massive, easily enough for a family of 5!!! Every slice came with that dramatic, slow-motion cheese pulls that make everyone at the table stop talking and start taking pictures!!! The ingredients tasted fresh, the cheese was gloriously gooey, and each slice was hearty enough to qualify as a meal and a half. We also grabbed the mozzarella triangles and buffalo wings bc apparently self-control wasn't invited to dinner. The mozzarella triangles were crispy, cheesy little pockets of happiness, and the wings brought just the right amount of buffalo kick. Both were absolutely delicious and disappeared way faster than they should have. The service was fantastic too!! Drinks never stayed empty for long, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. We walked out stuffed, happy, and officially educated on what REAL Chi-town pizza is supposed to be!! If you're visiting Chicago, Giordano's is absolutely a must!!!

The place is always absolutely slammed from the tasting counter to the back. I just don't get the hype. It's a restaurant that has 50 private label wines and a "club". Is this "club" some sort of trendy status? Anyway, server was a pro. Appetizers were an orange chicken tasting calamari plate and a 5 mini meatball pan. Both were pretty good. Entrees were big and the menu is pretty large. Food was overall decent but a bit pricey. The wines are not very good. The "Lux" level are decent, but you are pushing $15 a glass to get there. I just don't get it. This place is also really loud. You can't have any type of conversation without shouting at each other. It's louder than a Texas Roadhouse. I spent my night leaning over to hear the person next to me and I was the messenger when people across the table wanted to talk to each other. Thank you for the gift card. It was used and appreciated. Next time get me one to one of the legacy places right across the street. Those are local owner operated and you can talk and enjoy some really good foods.
