This Giordano's is awesome! I've eaten here a few times when I'm in town this location is very clean the staff are very friendly and attentive and as always the food is delicious! As of now this is my favorite Giordano's to eat at. I also have been to this location to get carry out frozen pizzas to bring back with me to New York and it's always been perfect so far. I've tried their deep dish and there thin pizzas here and they're wonderful. Lots of cheese great sauce and the crust is cooked to perfection. their bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is open for you to see what's happening. read more

Visited today and was really looking forward to their pizza. There were two new employees which was unusual / I was wondering if they changed owners. Anyways we ordered a small deep dish cheese pizza and after 20 or more minutes she shows up with one 6" or so individual pizza. There were 2 of us. She insisted that this is what we ordered. Which obviously was not. She said she could make another one but we didn't have another 30 minutes for cook time. The bill comes and we are charged $11 for that small pizza which was the cost of the lunch special which would have been for the individual pizza plus a salad, soup or fries (we just were given the tiny pizza). I said we didn't get anything but the tiny pizza. She reiterated that was the price and too bad. If this is the new management and/or quality or staff - I won't be going back which is a shame because it was my favourite pizza place. read more

No other place comes close... tonight I was very disappointed in the pizza, it was wet and crumbly crust(wet) and the salad was a disgrace for $7.00 it was very tiny, too much powered cheese and not enough taste. Things are expensive, food is expensive and it's expensive to go out so when you do you expect to get what you are paying for. My results were sadly very disappointing. Not sure I will try you again. This has to be the worst place to eat ever! We wanted to try the 14" thin crust tavern pizza . We ordered a salad ahead of time . We waited and waited! Finally asked for our salads after 45 minutes! The salads were horrible. How can a salad be bad ?? Pizza took way over an hour! They must've lost our order . And, the pizza literally had no taste! I took 2 bites and was done . Nice little bistro with comfortable seating. We arrived on a weekday about dinner time and were promptly seated. Our hostess was fantastic and was always prompt with the service and quick to answer questions. Appetizers were served quickly and fresh. Deep dish pizzas were a disappointment. Center of Pizza was a little doughy and could've used another 5 to 10 minutes in the oven. We've had better luck at other, larger locations. read more

Wish I could give zero star to this most customer unfriendly place. There pizza taste as disgusting as their managers behavior. Made me sick after eating a bite and talking with the manager at this location. We ordered vegetarian pizza and garlic bread for delivery. Both things were tasteless I couldn't eat a bite and kept it on side. Called them to say what we feel.. the manager said that's how our pizza taste I can offer you 5 $ refund to that I really felt as if I'm asking for free money I told him that we are not going to order from your place ever again so don't need that money rather as you are in a customer service industry you should know what to do offer a customer full refund and return their money. Else I as a customer will spread a word and to that the manager said yeah sure do what you like. What a great Manager this guy is??? We were really dissatisfied and didn't wanted to throw the food in a bin so took the pizza back and kept it on their counter. As we reached back saw that our money was refunded. This Giordano's is a cute and cozy place. Also whenever we have it (too much for my growing belly) the pizzas are DELICIOUS and the folks who work there are so nice. My husband and I traveled to Chicago from St. Louis today to drop my son off at camp. We were really hungry after the 5 hour trip and I've never had Chicago style pizza so we decided to stop here. We ordered a house salad and large deep dish pizza (the menu states it serves 4-5 people but I thought we could handle it since we were really hungry ). I am a thin crust St. Louis style pizza lover at heart, but wasn't going to come to Chicago and get anything aside from Chicago style pizza. The crust was VERY good, as was the sauce and they definitely don't go skimpy on the toppings...the pizza literally had triple or quadruple the amount of cheese I usually have on my pizza and the top was covered in black olives. I must say, we were shocked when we each could only eat 1 piece of pizza...it was SOOO filling...but at least now we have dinner for tomorrow night.! Regarding the salad, I was nervous about the house dressing as it is a lemon vinaigrette .....but it was delicious!!! To top off our experience, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Lunch specials are great and inexpensive. You also get a frequent dinner card. The service is always great. I am a regular and when I walk in, the waitress is brining my Iced tea, a glass of ice and a full glass of iced tea. We also eat at this location when out of town visitors come in to visit. They always rave about the food, and everyone looks forward to dividing up the extra pizza to take home. read more

We work very close to this location and have tried three times. Each time the pizza is under cooked. we thought maybe it was just the pan pizza. So we tried a thin crust. With so many pizza joints around, there are far better places to spend your money. We stopped-in for dinner around 5:30 on a Sunday evening. Despite all the employees running around, the service was just OK, but doesn't quite constitute a full-service restaurant (no water, an Italian restaurant without bread, etc). The place was clean, but cold - 4 or 5 other tables in use, many customers still wearing their coats. The staff were all younger (college-aged), and wearing sweatshirts, so they probably turned-down the heat themselves, instead of thinking about the customers. I've lived in Chicago my whole life, so know how long a stuffed pizza takes - take that and add about 50% - it was SLOW. And, we got the wrong pizza. They did give us $5 off on our meal, but now reading the other reviews, ours wasn't the first time they goofed. Even more unusual, remediation was only in the hands of our server (how about the manager coming-out to apologize?). Even better, offer something like 50% off your next order - if they truly cared about the customer, and wanted a chance to show they could do better, they'd offer something. Next time around, we'll pick a different place. read more

With the variety of (great) pizza options in the LZ area, I decided to give Giordano's a shot - and I can say I will NEVER be back. This place fails in ALL 3 phases: awful service, way below average food, and higher prices than any pizza operation in the NW suburbs. The woman who took my carry out order at the front counter was oblivious to anything related to food service, follow-up was only when I went to her, a mistimed completion of the order - all combined with a whopping bill for over 50 bucks. I think the most disappointing part of the experience was the sass that was laid on me as I walked out by the same counter "help" which "greeted" me. Awful. I usually love the pizza but I had never been to this location and let me just say that I won't be back. I took my younger cousins here thinking that pizza would be a nice and fun way to end our shopping trip. I got a thin crust for the youngest and there was a monstrous amount of cheese and hardly and sauce. Our deep dish in the other hand was fine until you got to the crust which was not stuffed and was also hard as a rock. I couldn't even cut it with a knife and chewing it seemed borderline hazardous. Chicago-style deep dish pizza is what I like. Giordano's delivers the goods. Got their $10 lunch (small dd za, salad, drink). Awesome pizza and a great price. Grabbed lunch there twice while I worked in the area (March 2015) The place was mostly empty during the weekday lunch hour. If you don't like crowds, that's the time to go. Clean, prompt service, and very Chicago-y feeling. Of course, the deep dish pizza takes 30-45 min depending on the size. But it's so worth the wait! I can't eat an entire small pizza myself. well, a lot of these reviews are negative abt the servers and this one is no exception. Amd thats too bad cuz my food was good, but quality of service took away from the experience. The waitress was always in a hurry, and stopped at my table on her way to another table with more people. she dropped off my order im an express fashion. the house salad was very fresh and good. Lemon vinaigrette was excellent, my food came in a reasonable timeframe, When i asked abt desserts, then the server recommended Dunkin Donuts instead, they had only two desserts which, in the server's opinion, were overpriced or not good quality for the money. Pizza usually good, but I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and they use a cheap chopped and formed chicken patty instead of a whole chicken breast. That's something you expect to get at a fast food place for a dollar. If they are going to be so cheap to save a buck on a 9 dollar sandwich it really makes you wonder about the restaurant quality as a whole. read more

We dined in and ordered 2 pizzas (1 large, 1 medium). The server brought out 2 medium pizzas. After biting into them we discovered both pizzas weren't ours. After waiting several more minutes the correct pizzas were brought out (no apologies by staff). When the check came they charged for both pizzas. When I asked if they could take a pizza off for the inconvenience (especially since my sister is a vegetarian and bit into sausage) a male Hispanic who said his name was Gerardo swiped the check out of my hand and abruptly walked away without saying a word. The pizza was bad, the salad very small and uninspired for the cost. And, the store seemed to have several operational problems. Online ordering experience was very frustrating as well. This place is a joke! Came in and was seated right away, looking forward to some Chicago style pizza. Sat for 20 minutes without so much as a greeting. Its as if no one noticed we were there. Saw a few servers bringing bills to tables around us, everyone seated near us looked upset and impatient. Our menus were closed and we were ready to order but we seriously just sat there. So tonight my wife and I placed a take out order, she got a small stuffed cheese pizza and I got a meatball sandwich with fries. Now we've eaten from this place numerous times before with only a few things that upset is but tonight will be my last time eating here. My sandwich had a bun with 4 barely cooked meatballs and a drizzling of sauce on it and was freezing cold and the fries were freezing as well and soggy as hell.
