When Chicagoans mention deep dish pizza, Gioradano's is often mentioned in many people's top lists. As compared to other options, Giordano's is one of the more straightforward options - generally quite meaty and cheesy and with a bready crust. This is in contrast to some other options which may have garlicky or buttery crusts, caramelization, unusual toppings, etc. Giordano's can appeal to a wide variety of people looking for a more straightforward pizza experience. The menu here is fairly classic for a chicago pizza joint with a standard set of starters, salads, italian entrees, and desserts. Pizza is offered in thin and deep dish, with mostly sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper, pepperoni, chicken, and spinach variations. There is a wider variety of items available for make your own options, but the specials are a bit limited in the combinations offered. The interior has more of a traditional pizza joint type of vibe, with decor to make diners feel like they've been transported back several decades. The pizzas themselves are fairly large so you don't necessarily need an appetizer, however it can take 40-50 minutes to prepare a deep dish, so ordering a Giordano's sampler is a good way to keep the table from getting too hungry while waiting. In general, the pizzas have a fairly thick layer of tomato sauce that isn't too bold (letting the toppings shine a little more), the cheese is fairly thick, and crust is bready and a little crunchy. For me, I find that these pizzas are probably best for those looking to get a sub sandwich in a pizza form, but may not meet the bolder flavor expectations that you'll find from many of the national pizza chain locations. With that said though, I also think that Giordano's works well for those looking for a less greasy, not overly spiced or herbed choice, where you can enjoy more of the simple combination of dough, cheese, and tomato sauce without an excessive amount of other ingredients to distract from the experience. Overall, a good choice if you're a deep dish or Chicago pizza lover. This is one of the spots that is important to try in your journey of Chicago Pizza tourism.

Pretty good deep dish pizza. Especially the dough and cheese, freshness is good. A bit of problem I have with the pizza is that, it was supposed to be meat and more meat but I can't tell the meat I was eating from the taste.

Deep dish pizza is a must tourist stop in Chicago, you just need to plan ahead because this isn't "fast" food. I planned for an hour and placed an order for pick up. I ordered a personal 6" pizza with my own combo of toppings. It was perfect. Deep dish with great cheese stretchiness. Flavor was just what I wanted. I carried out but staff was friendly and restaurant was clean.

I have been to Chicago twice before and never got chance to try their "famous deep dish pizza". This time we visited our friends and i asked if we can have deep dish pizza, and the first meal we went to was Giordano's pizza... this is definitely my favorite pizza now, as the crust was so crispy that it reminded me of samosa cover and definitely pizza and toppings add to the crust. Four of us ordered Medium size half and half ... it was very much sufficient to us and we enjoyed it! Another check mark in my food bucket list #foodie #deepdishpizza #giordanospizza #pizza #chicagodeepdishpizza

Deep dish? Absolutely pathetic. Less than half an inch of cheese. We literally ate it with our hands. The other was supposed to be a veggie pizza and it's straight olives. Should have gotten Lou's

This was found in my deep dish pizza. It was a deep dish with green peppers and mushrooms. And somehow a chunk of mud was added.

There was a chunk of mud found in my pizza. Please see the picture. Mgmt refunded me and offered to remake my order, but I had zero appetite at that point.

From the initial planning session with Tara to selecting the menu and then finalizing the details prior to the event, everything was absolutely perfect. The menu that we chose included many crowd favorites and was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed lunch and mingling on the enclosed patio. Our servers, Morgann and Brianna were so attentive and kept an eye on everything including the timing, any refills and all of our guests needs. We all had a wonderful time and our mother can't stop smiling from such a wonderful event. Thank you Vai's!

Tonight felt especially memorable and worthy of a proper review. We usually avoid Friday nights because Vai's is almost always packed... and after tonight, it became crystal clear why. Diane and I were craving a standout meal, a little comfort, and a relaxing evening together. What we received was far beyond dinner service. We were treated like valued regulars and genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Pete, who I believe is the manager, recognized us immediately and encouraged us to put our name on the waiting list despite the crowd. I'm grateful he did. While we waited, we sat outside near the fire on a cool evening, which added another layer of warmth and ambiance to an already inviting atmosphere. Within minutes, Pete came outside personally to let us know two seats had opened at the bar. That level of attentiveness matters. As soon as we walked in, Eliot and Mallory greeted us with smiles and authentic positive energy. Not forced. Not transactional. Genuine. They made us feel appreciated simply for being there. Even on one of the busiest nights imaginable, they engaged with guests with the same warmth and attentiveness we've experienced during quieter weekday visits. In the background, Morgan was crafting cocktails with precision while still finding time for a familiar nod that quietly says, "Good to see you again." That kind of hospitality cannot be faked. We ordered our favorite dish, the Lobster & Shrimp Rigatoni and once again it was exceptional. Rich, consistent, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the best dishes in Naperville. Without us even asking, the kitchen thoughtfully split the entrée onto two plates. That small gesture perfectly captures what makes Vai's special... attention to detail seems woven into everything they do. From the fire outside to the flowers inside, from the cocktails to the consistency of the food, Vai's creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and sincere all at once. Authenticity and respect seem embedded in the culture there. Tonight was a standout evening for us, and I'm genuinely glad we decided to stay despite the crowd. Pete, Eliot, Mallory, Morgan, and the entire staff - thank you for reminding us what great hospitality looks like. Outstanding indeed.

Service was great! Everyone was friendly and prompt and wanted to make sure we had a great meal. This is what we ordered: * Nonna's Meatballs * Pear & Fennel Salad (walnuts on the side) * Focaccia di Recco (requested with prosciutto & arugula) * Linguine alle vongole I also ordered an Almafi Spritz (zero proof) which was wonderful and bright a slice of Italy to Chicago's suburbia. The food was fresh and delicious. I recalled a Davanti location in Chicago but never had the chance to check it out, so this was my first time and it was great! The atmosphere is chic and the food was excellent, but not in a flashy, overdone, complicated way, just real good, made in house, hearty Italian fare. The Focaccia Di Recco was AMAZING. Yes, all caps. We packed up half of it to take home and it was still great the next day (reheated and then toasted in our mini counter oven/fryer). If you order just one thing here, let it be this focaccia dish. I understand why it's popular and I blurted out loud several times while eating this in restaurant: "on my god" it was truly divine. As my husband said, "this food might be better than what we had in Italy..." and I don't disagree. The kitchen does not do split portions for pasta but they were able to bring out 2 plates for us to split ourselves. This is a great spot for date night, a ladies night out, or a solo wine & dine at the bar. I can't believe I didn't come sooner. Plus, it's located right next to a parking garage which made our night out really convenient! We can't wait to come back! Five shining stars.

I've had some really great arancini before, and these were alright. The sauce was the highlight, with a nice flavor and a slight kick to it. We were told the pizzas were personal-sized, so everyone in our group ordered their own. When they arrived, they were huge. I went with the Fredo, a more traditional-style pizza, and it was pretty solid with good toppings and flavor. Others at the table ordered the Detroit-style pizzas, and they looked incredible, I wish I had taken some photos. The general consensus was that the pizzas were a bit too bready, but they had good flavor, great presentation, and a nice crispy crust. Service was okay. It took a while for our server to take our order, and I wish we had been advised to share a few pizzas instead of ordering individually. We all ended up taking most of our pizzas to go, but with dinners planned throughout the rest of the trip, they unfortunately didn't get eaten later. Overall, a decent spot with solid pizza and generous portions.

Its very hard to find spots that can accommodate our very particular palates, and even more hard to find good vegan options outside of the city. Thats why I was excited to find this lovely Italian restaurant. The parking lot is small but there's a good amount of sidestreet parking. The inside is warm, cozy and super clean (including the restrooms ). The hospitality stood out right away. The owners and wait staff were very welcoming, and our server was fantastic; honest (which I appreciate), knew the menu well, and once she realized our situation, gave us some wonderful direction on what to order. I wouldn't say that the menu is overwhelming, but I rarely go to a restaurant where it takes me that long to decide what I want. There are lots of interesting options, from braised short rib ravioli to baked ziti, and several tasty appetizers (highly recommend the calamari). But we had come for the PIZZA. My daughter got the kids cheese pizza. It was surprisingly bigger than we thought, and at a great price. The kid only ate half before she said, "I like it...this might be better than [insert famous Chicago pizza brand]." (you MUST KNOW that this is high praise from a 3rd grader). My wife ordered the "They Don't Have Beef With Me" vegan Detroit-style pizza, and I have to admit, it was very good. Somehow they pulled off a buttery (but not butter) crust with melty vegan cheese (but NOT cheese ). Absolutely nailed it. I would have eaten more of hers if I hadn't ordered the Butcher pizza from the wood-fired menu. It was OUTSTANDING. Great flavor, perfect texture. Easily one of thee best wood-fired pizzas I've ever had. We're not drinkers, but they do have a good wine list and some nice zero-proof options, including the Amber Apple and The Drip. We didn't make it to dessert, mostly because the portions are generous, so our bellies (and our to-go boxes) were full. We will definitely be back to try other menu options and for dessert. If your family or friend group includes picky palates or dietary restrictions (the pizzas can be made gluten-free as well), then run...don't walk...to Fiammé. 100/10 recommend.

Our server, Umberto, was attentive and pleasant and took good care of us; he was the best part of our evening. However, this is the first and last time I'll ever eat at Entourage. They promise "a dining experience" on their website, but I could get the same experience at your average Chili's or TGIFriday's without the pretense. Why do I say that? It's the noise...oh, the noise. There were a few tables with large parties, so it was pretty loud. Even leaning in closely, it was hard for my friend and me to hear each other talk. And the screaming kids were something else, emitting ear-piercing screams that get your attention, for all the wrong reasons. I didn't see any staff ask the large parties to keep it down or ask the parents to manage their children, which I guess I can understand. Large parties = more revenue than a two-top. But we did not - could not - linger after we ate our meals, or order coffee, dessert, and/or an after-dinner drink, because it was just too loud in there.
