I really enjoyed my last visit here so I came again and wanted to try new dishes. I really like how I can look at the pictures of the food on the iPad and order from there. I will say the food came out extremely fast. Galbi omurice (5/5): I think most omurice is drenched in normal Japanese curry, but this one is different. This sauce tastes like it's tomato based and has that sweet aromatic flavor. The rice was fried so it was packed with more flavor. The egg was typical. I thought there would be galbi in the omurice but it was on the side. The galbi was a bit underwhelming. Not too much flavor and just tender enough. Uni and tobiko rice pot (4/5): The portion was a bit small, but filling enough. The Uni did all the work by making it creamy and packed with umami flavor. The tobiko provided extra sparks of flavor. However that was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the bowl. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would like to come back.

    Golden Chicken & Croffle

we visited on a sunday around noon and waited 20-25 min before we were seated. the interior is kinda crazy, it gives off instagram brunch spot. they even had a lil flower station near the front where they prepped fresh flowers. i got the golden croffle n chicken which had a lot of chicken, but not enough croffle to balance it out imo. the croffle was good, but i remember my chicken wasnt very tender and it was a bit hard to cut / chew. my friend got the loco moco and they thought it was pretty good with tbe sauce being the most memorable. i think its good to visit once just for the vibes but thats about it. i think the chicken n croffle is comparable to other brunch spots and wasnt anything out of the ordinary. i would only come back again if a friend wanted to, but id be interested in giving it another shot and trying some of their other items!

    Just regular cream soup

Tried this place today at dinner time to try their wagyu steak. I ordered it with soup and... They don't deliver... The steak, despite called wagyu, is not exactly super tender, and I ordered medium. It comes out medium but tenderness is probably about as good as Costco prime grade beef. Not as bad as choice, but doubtful it's real wagyu. The steak was also not seasoned well, lacking some salt. The veggies and other things served on the side was also really bland. The saving grace is the green chimichurri sauce which is a flavor bomb. Their cheese sauce was also disappointing. It was gritty, showing that probably it wasn't cooked well or too hot. The soup was also just like any regular cream soup. I have to admit that the place looks great and probably the biggest reason people come here, and the servers were also nice enough, but for me the food quality has to be up to par with the ambiance. Their price is not cheap either so they should deliver much better food. Most likely won't be coming back.

Come with an appetite. We ordered Double Double wagyu burger and Korean Pork Cutlets. The Wagyu burger was almost as good as The Samurai Burger Shibuya Japan we had last September, flavorful and enough for two moderate appetites and my wife loved the sweet potato fries. My pork cutlet dish was enough to feed a small army so much so I ate the leftovers for lunch today. The sauce on the cutlets sauce though Korean inspired was A little too sweet for me but still not bad, I used the sweet potato aioli sauce on the cutlets. I must admit I was surprised how fancy the decor was compared to the exterior. The service was very good and we had a dessert similar to Japanese pancakes but it was a spongy short cake with whipped cream and a strawberry on top, not bad. Overall we had a nice visit and I will likely have the double Double next time

Unforgettable party place.Excellent service and wonderful waiter and waitress. We took one bit of the fried chicken we fell in love. So moist and yet so tender! You need to come check out their drinks.

A fun place to visit as it is very pretty. You do get an actual menu but you order on the iPad. Feel similar to other Korean places nearby. Drinks - I felt like it tasted fine but not amazing. You can do milk replacement which I really appreciate. I won't order a drink if I came back. I ordered the scramble - You can pick your side. I thought the food was very American - not Asian fusion. The salad was drenched with dressing and the scramble was bland. The toast was very hard. I wonder if I ordered the wrong thing. Would come back since they got really good reviews and it was quite busy even on a Thursday. Can be challenging to find parking - I parked on the street. Wouldn't try coming on a weekend. Can't imagine how crazy this plaza is during the weekend.

mornin' egg with us wagyu steak

Came here around 2pm on a Sunday, and it was a really short wait! The interior is SO beautiful, I love the color pink and flowers!! The food was just okay though. The lemon garlic lobster pasta was my favorite thing we got. I liked how the sauce wasn't too heavy, but it was still very flavorful. The spaghetti noodles were decent (not overcooked) but I feel like it was a little odd with that type of sauce. I would've preferred linguine or fettuccine. The lobster was also really tiny :( We also tried the morin' egg w us wagyu steak. The steak was tender and I like how the only seasoning they used was salt. It came with a side of potatoes that were really bland... Lastly, we tried the creme brulee french toast. It looked REALLY sweet, but it actually wasn't too sweet surprisingly. It was just so soggy for some reason, I swear french toast is usually a little crispy. Overall, very clean and cute spot. But you are definitely paying for the ambiance and aesthetic over the food...

How it started: traumatized a few staff with my #interrogator and accidentally insulted the owner How it evolved: Kelly the owner recognizes me kindly as "Tina" out of the sea of generic basic azns. New staff hazing = sent to my table to get grilled on the menu Now: Basically my second home at this point. I think Kelly finally knows my name is Tian and not Tina. My go to spot for almost every occasion. The closest in terms of a total package with great food, amazing lattes, and beautiful setting for all the IG basics. FAVE ORDERS: - All the specialty lattes: black sesame latte, matcha latte, ube latte, panda latte, biscoff latte - Pistachio Prociutto Sandwich: my brain couldn't process the pistachio cream & prosciutto & burrata & rosemary garlic oil combination but my tastebuds understood the mouthgasm - Truffle Honey Egg Sando: too many of my fave keywords in one description - Rosé Tteokbokki: one of the best versions of this semi-rare in the bay dish - Fried Calamari: most distinctly calamari fried calamari I've tasted compared to the generic fried batter from every other happy hour menu - Mushroom Confit Salad SERVICE: - Incredibly busy for obvious reasons and the owner themselves work like a horse, expect slower service esp during peak hours and depending on how many IG models want their pics taken - Ash is the most capable service staff I've encountered in a long while, and I think he finally stopped trying to ignore my glares for attention half the time Misc: If they give you fireworks for your bday don't try to blow it out like a candle Instagram: TianTianEats

Date of Visit: 6/13/2026 GIWA is one of the most popular fancy brunch place in Santa Clara area. The restaurant is decorated with flowers, and you can actually purchase flowers from the menu for your loved one. On the menu there is a blend of Californian cooking style with Korean cuisine, including kalbi, bibimbap, mixing with uni and seafood. We made a reservation about 2 weeks before our visit, and were seated right away. The server was quite attentive. However, during our visit, there were two waiter and waitress drop the plates nearby our table. The first waiter dropped a plate with lobster shell and red sauce just next to out table. The other waitress later dropped a plate and an empty beer bottle, while the bottle was bouncing on the floor and broke during the third collision. Uji Matcha Violet Cream Latte $8 I got the matcha and creamy lavender latte. Grilled Corn Ribs $11 For our appetizer, we ordered the grilled corn ribs with gochujang butter and mayonnaise. The sauce was too much so the corn was mixed with plenty of sauce and too wet. Korean Pork Cutlet $27 Crispy pork cutlet served with cabbage salad and macaroni. On the side there was steamed rice and a separate bowl of house-made tonkatsu sauce. Seoul Seafood Pasta $38 One of my favorite dishes of the day was the spaghetti tossed in spicy tomato sauce with a mixture of seafood, including lobster tail, clams, mussels, scallop and shrimp. And a piece of a crispy garlic bread. Creamy Uni Pasta $34 The creamy uni pasta is a blend of fresh sea urchin and white wine, on top there was fresh sea urchin and crispy seaweed.

Waygu hit plate with rice and veggies

Needed some place to celebrate. This place was more for dates. Very comfy chairs. Either order by tablet or with server. It was pretty easy to do by tablet. Eating mate wanted the waygu steak platter with rice and veggies. Great portion so ate only half. The waygu was in big chunks and tender. We also had the truffle egg salad sandwich. Very truffle flavor.

We stopped by GIWA before heading to a concert in Palo Alto and were so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful decor and welcoming atmosphere. We were craving Korean food, and this place definitely delivered. The portions were huge and perfect for sharing, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The drinks were also delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. Parking in front can be a little limited, but there is plenty of parking available in the back, which made it easy and convenient. Great food, generous portions, and a lovely ambiance. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

Got brunch here with my sister on a Sunday around noon. You can add yourself to the Yelp waitlist when you're within 1 mile of the restaurant so I recommend doing that - it gets busy. We had to wait maybe 15-20 mins after adding ourselves to the waitlist for 2 ppl. The parking lot gets full but there is parking back in the neighborhoods if you're good with walking a few minutes. The restaurant is super cute inside - pretty pink flowery aesthetic. Along with being a restaurant, they sell flowers. Service was great. Our waters were never empty and staff was kind. You can order with a server or on their electronic table side device. We got the pistachio prosciutto sandwich and the smoked salmon tower to share. Was super delicious! I would definitely come back

We were able to get into GIWA's on Father's Day. The virtual waitlist was very helpful. The restaurant decor and ambience is FABULOUS! The photo props in the back of the restaurant and the floral boutique in the front of it are great. The fusion of Korean and American cuisine is delicious. The meals are a little pricey, but the overall experience was worth it.

She was incredibly knowledgeable about whiskey, recommended Elijah Craig 18 (which was absolutely worth it), and even told us about the happy hour specials. I really appreciated that she wasn't just trying to sell the most expensive drinks-she genuinely cared about helping us find options that fit our budget while making sure we had a great experience. She treated us like friends, and that's the kind of hospitality that keeps customers coming back. Unfortunately, our experience changed because of a man with tattoos on his hands and neck who appeared to be a manager or a supervisor. While Nieves was answering our questions and taking great care of us, he was sitting at the bar on his laptop talking with another employee. He interrupted her and told her to stop "chit-chatting" with us and go work in the back. As guests, that was uncomfortable to witness because she wasn't just chatting-she was providing outstanding customer service. After that, she seemed much quieter and hesitant to come back whenever he was nearby. Nieves was the highlight of our visit, and we truly hope she's treated with the respect she deserves. We'd absolutely come back to see her again for more whiskey and cocktail recommendations.

Even the non-alcoholic highball is dozed with extra sparkling fizz. We enjoyed it. This location is in the heart of Silicon Valley among Google Cloud buildings and famous tech companies. The customers range from hotel goers, tech workers, Googlers, Bay Area startup people discussing IPOs (overheard during our visit) and apparently food writers (from KQED). It way exceeds the standard of a Marriott hotel bar, and is worth a dedicated visit. Park at the parking garage opposite side of the hotel, shares the same parking structure. It offers izakaya style menu, serves small bites, tapas / dishes in the style of Japanese drinking bars. There is a limit number of intimate counter spaces at the bar, but plenty of tables further away from the bar, a spanning view of the lobby and its modern designs. There's also a glass window view of the garden pathway (the winter Christmas decoration was visible from the window was quite pretty). The bar specializes in fancy Japanese whiskeys and highball cocktails, flavored with modern craft cocktail choices and some Japanese inspired choices - shiso, cucumber. We tried Torched Hokkaido Scallops,  Nokori Chicken Karaage, Chowa Highball, Far East Side, Marsuret Brut. All pretty good. The cocktails are strong.  A highball cocktail is basically whisky / shoju, soda water and ice. It is notable they have a soda pump (dispenser) so the bubbles (extra fizzy) are strong (great) and the ice is crystal clear - Japanese cocktail style beautiful, clear ice, melts slowly, tastes good. KQED explains that a highball is made of Japanese whisky soda water and ice. I have noticed the soda was extra extra fizzy and indeed KQED explains that it installed special Japanese soda dispensers. Even when I didn't know, I thought the drinks were excellently fizzy - for someone who likes sparkling water and fizzy drinks, it was immediately notable! And the ice is crystal clear Japanese style cocktail ice. This highball experience is impressive. We ordered the scallops, delicious, the sauce was miso but a bit too salty. The famous chicken karaage fried chicken is golden, light, crispy, needed a bit more seasoning, but it's hard to find good chicken kaarage that's not oily these days so I can definitely see why the food writers liked it. Overall the menu is worth a try. Love the design, ambience, the modern interiors, beautiful selection of whiskeys, reminds me a lot of Tokyo. They carry a good, high end selection of Japanese whiskeys, though I don't know much about it, I can see there are various vintages present, and some of them with a good age / vintage. There are also wines available, and sparkling by the glass. The non alcoholic options are also sophisticated

Went with a few friends late on a Saturday night and luckily got seated right away. The space is…read moreroomy, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for a late-night meal with friends. The service was friendly, welcoming, and fast throughout our visit. The food was really good. My favorite was the soy sauce boneless chicken. It was crispy yet light, with great flavor. The rabokki had a nice spicy kick, and the rice cakes were perfectly chewy and soft. I also appreciated that they didn't overcook the ramen, which is usually the case. The kimchi fried rice was solid as well. Overall, a great late-night spot with tasty food, plenty of seating, and excellent service. I'd definitely come back.

Ambiance: 5/5 The environment and ambience are perfect for casual drinking. It's dark and loud (in a good way), with fairy lights scattered throughout the establishment. My table and seating were bench style, and just adds to the vibes. Food: 3/5 I didn't love or hate the food. The boneless chicken is okay, the exterior isn't as crisp as I'd like. The ddukbokgi was a miss for me. The sauce flavor was super mild and lacking but they go hard on the cheese and I appreciate that. My favorite food item here was the grilled pork belly so I'd recommend that if anything.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.
