Not a good experience. Been here a couple times already, hoped the first time was a fluke, but it wasn't. The place is extremely compact and humid due to the overstaffing, they have a bunch of random girls working the front and standing around the store doing no work. One of the make workers seemed really annoyed by them and took over when I eas ordering because the girl was having a hard time working the register. They're pretty much there as a reason for the men that hang around all day. The shawarma was below average, chicken had no taste and was bland, and the bread was way too thick and dry. Same goes for the beef. The Khachapuri was extremely soft, and while I like how they rolled cheese in the crust, they overfilled it. It felt more like a some Turkish cheese borek than an Ajarski khachapuri. Flatbreads and Lamajoun are no match for Sasoun Bakery. The place itself, despite being open for only a week or two, is already poorly managed and compact/dirty. Also, ciggarette smokers stnding right outside the door from morning to midnight. Another note, yesterday I checked the yelp page for the first time, and there were a plethera of fake reviews within an hour span from accounts with 1 review. The food here is garbage and overpriced, they charge 50 cents for sauce containers but others are free, but the bread here was strong as dry concrete, and the service is utter garbage and takes 40-46 minutes for ONE SHAWARMA! But the place was clean and all but the service and food are garbage I don't recommend that you go there because it's not that good here. read more

My friends recommended this place, as someone that have been to many Shawarma places and also tried many Ajarakans. This place stood out for me the best, i can only imagine the competition between this and other places and why there can be some bad and not true comments. I have tried there Plates, there Pork Shawarma also the fries. You know the place is bomb when the fries is even tastes good lol. They provided great costumer service, the staff worked fast and efficient. My wife was also very pleased with them, the seasonings and the the bread was very good and fresh. Go and find out yourself. I want to share my horrible 1st order experience at Glendale Schwarma so others will be aware. We placed our order in person ( 5 schwarma sandwiches, 5 french fries,  1 lahmajoon).  They asked what topping items we wanted for each ( onions, jalapenos, sauces etc) which we specified.  About 10 min. later, they bagged up the 5 schwarma sandwiches.  We asked about the 5 orders of fries.  She said they'd be out in a couple of minutes.  5 minutes went by.  We asked again and they said, they'd be out in a minute.  A few minutes later (now 10 min. after the sandwiches were bagged) she brought 3 orders of fries.  I asked where the other 2 fries were.  She said she thought it was 3 fries ordered.  I disagreed.  I showed her the receipt she gave me and it clearly showed that I ordered and paid for 5 orders of fries.  She then said she'd check.  She came back out front and said it would be a couple of minutes.  After 5 min. I asked about them and she said it would be another minute.  Another few minutes went by.  I again asked and was told it would be a little longer.  I told her that I had waited long enough and that either she bring out the other 2 orders of fries, or just give me a refund for them.  She refused to give me a refund, and said they'd be out in a couple of minutes.  She also said she thought I was being rude with my impatience.  I was so frustrated, but determined that I was either going to get a refund or get the fries.  Finally, after 10+ minutes of waiting for the last 2 fries., , I got them.   I told her the wait was ridiculous and she was unfair not to refund the 2 fries she was unable to give me and forced me to wait til they were ready.  She told me I was unreasonable and I was not welcome in their eatery again.  I assured her that I had no interest in returning there.  Total time from order to order completion 35 min.  Cold samdwiches, cold and soggy fries, and toppings on 2 of the sandwiches were incorrect.   btw... man who entered just behind me had ordered by phone and came to pick up.  After 10 min. of waiting, he received a text saying that they were out of some of the ingredients & he ordered something else.  He waited another 10-15 min. and when he asked about it, they told him that they mistakenly gave his order to another customer.  When I left, he was still there waiting. read more

Horrible. I was interested about this place as they've been under construction for a while driving by seeing a new shawarma place opening up. Horrible start. They HAVE to change something up or else they wont last long, as if the yelp reviews being a 2/5 on their first month isnt a clue. It seemed overfloaded and overstaffed, I came in at evening a few nights ago with a bunch of girls standing around. Ordered a beef and chicken shawarma. This was the worst shawarma I have ever had, its insulting that theyre marketing themselves as "Best shawarma in glendale" because many americans and people from other ethnic grouos who havent had shawarma will have this garbage as a first impression. If youre looking for shwarma in the area go to Noname, or Best or Shawarma king even Zankou. Horrendous dry meat, the lavash bread doesnt fit in well, and weird unpleasant seasoning. read more

Although Glendale Shawarma is still relatively new, the taste and quality they offer would remind you of a business that's been around for decades. Ambiance is a very modern twist compared to the usual Shawarma joints, I don't know any other place that's as well built as this. This was so good. The staff were super nice and hilarious. It was a small cozy area (so cute). And the food, don't even get me started on the food, I got 2 chicken shawarma's and two beef. Never had better shawarma, and I've tried a lot of shawarma, 100% recommend this to anyone who likes shawarma, it's the best place ever. Oh and did I mention that they have EVERYTHING.
