I took several of my bikes here to get it fix, tubes etc. one of the bikes I didn't get to ride until a while after I picked it up for the shop and when I went to go ride it, the bike is flat again, and when I tried to pump it up it went flat. I called the store to see if there was anything they could do to help out considering I never rode the bike and it was last serviced by them. I spoke to James to see if they could help and he wouldn't even bother to help and kept saying it was not guaranteed. I even explained how unfortunate this situation was as I like them and wanted to give them more business since I live nearby. But since the conversation and lack of help from James and how unsympathetic he was I won't be taking any of my bikes back. Too many good bike stores out their who will be happy To do the right thing to keep their customers happy. read more

He gave his recommendations and quoted a very reasonable price, so we left the bike and were able to pick it up a short time later. We were very happy with the service and price of the repairs. Went to the closest bike shop near me and was greet by a sales person who asked me what I wanted. I told him. I was looking to know how to adjust my brakes. He said he couldn't help me and walked away and said check with repair. I went over the repair counter and a guy asked how he could help me and I asked if they were able to tell me how to adjust my brake? He responded to me with you can YouTube it or we can do a maintenance check on it. Keep in mind it's a brand new bike and they wanted $89 for the maintenance check when the bike was bought for $129. I laughed and walked away. He then said, you want to make sure the bike was put together correctly. So I guess other places don't assemble bikes correct but this shop does! First and last time I come here. I have 9 bikes and none will be serviced here. You think they can show you how to adjust your brakes but would rather you pay for maintenance. Most bikes don't even cost that amount these days. They should learn something about customer service. The little things will bring back a customer and give you good review. read more

When we moved down from Iowa 3 years ago, we got our Bianchi hybrids serviced at another shop in Chandler. They were not friendly or particularly helpful, so next time I shopped around. I called and spoke to Garrett who was patient, friendly, and informative. We got our bikes serviced by Global Bikes back then, and Garrett is the reason we keep coming back, including to buy 2 new Specialized bikes a few weeks ago. A few days ago, my derailleur got caught in my spokes and damaged it. Garrett, the service manager, OK'd the repair under warranty. This Global Bikes location is the furthest from my home, yet the one I like to frequent the most. The staff is understanding and always there to answer any of my questions. I just purchased my first Specialized mountain bike, and they gave me the opportunity to finance it, which is great. Every tune up or purchase I make there is highly satisfactory. I recommend this shop to everyone! Always ask for Justin or Chris when you have a question. They have a way of helping out without pressuring you to buy, or making you feel stupid. read more

Took my bike in for the "Free" tune up they offer when you purchase from them. The man that took my bike and information had an attitude like I was inconveniencing him by having him do his job. 13 days later I got my bike back with no brake adjustment, same shifting issues it had when I dropped it off and some horribly nasty sticky grips. Apparently the "Free" tune up is a sales gimmick and not really a service they provide. read more

Had a great experience. Walked in looking for a reasonable cost bike. They found one in my price range and helped me pick out a nice bike computer with hear rate monitor and a bottle cage. All was installed while I waited. Would shop there again. This is the second time I have used them. First was to have my son's bike sent to him in a different state. They took care of packing and helped me with shipping (I had to call FedEx and pay, but tell them to pick it up from the shop, it was maybe a year ago :)) they made it go real easy. read more

I know nothing about bikes. I ride mine so rarely that I usually have to get the tubes replaced every time I decide to ride. What I do know is good customer service. Just arrived in Chandler and when I took my bike out to ride it, I found that the moving men put the wheel back on incorrectly and messed my the gears. I just bought a new bike and went to their Bike 101 class. I know very very little about bikes. I was very apprehensive about going because I didn't want to look like an idiot to these bike pros. Its a FREE class and we went over how to fix a flat, chain maintenance and other useful items. The gentleman who taught the class, I forget his name (Mike?) but he is the manager of that location, was very knowledgeable. But what impressed me the most was his open and easy going attitude. I asked a lot of questions, some I'm sure were dumb, but he never made me feel stupid, explained things when I asked and was very patient. I will most definitely be attending more of their classes and events and they are my go to place for cycling questions/purchases. When you are a "pro", you often forget how intimidating it is for beginners, but they made me excited to get into the sport and I really appreciate it!! read more

This is THE best bike repair shop. I had my Trek road bike with Shimano Dura Ace components at another bike shop for a week and they couldn't fix a broken shifter or rear derailleur. They told me I needed to order new parts. I took it to Global and they fixed it in 1 day with no new parts needed. My bike has never ridden as smooth as now. I heard the shop owner/manager was part of the US Olympic cycling team and knows his stuff. If you are anywhere in the East Valley it is worth it to take your road bike here for maintenance. read more

This company did an outstanding job fixing my specialized Turbo. Garrett is extremely professional, has excellent communication skills and is a great mechanic an extremely rare combination. They have always been prompt and called back when they promised and were on time and in my situation the repairs were extremely complicated and involved some warranty work which they handled with specialized on a very professional and thoughtful level. I have been to numerous other bicycle shops, at least 10 other bicycle shops, for various repairs with other bikes. Global and Garrett are at top of exceptional as far as professionalism, quality, and concern. I would recommend them to anyone else. read more

I apologize for not remembering her name, but a very lean, athletic woman who helped me did a superlative job. I walked in with a used road bike I had just purchased due to my low budget. She assisted in helping me with a set of Armadillo tires so I wouldn't be plagued with repeated flats on the road. She also surmised exactly what was needed to make an ad hoc (couldn't afford the bike sizing tuneup at this time) adjustment on my handlebars as well as saddle so the bike would work for me. Lastly, my chronic problem of a sore backside was quickly eliminated by purchasing a Specialized road bike saddle. These key adjustments and purchases have proven themselves in many, many months of great riding. Very helpful, I had just bought a new bike and got two flat tires the second time I went riding with my 18 month old on the back. I had global bikes to their lifetime no flats service on both tires for $78 bucks. Not bad for super strength tubes and tire liners and the piece of mind knowing if I have an issue again it will be fixed no problem. The employees at this store left me with a very bad impression. I went in late on a Saturday afternoon and just needed a flat changed. I might as well have been invisible because the guy who changed the tube completely ignored me while repairing it, all the while carrying on a conversation with his buddy.
