I was in need of a new garage door. My better half had gotten tired of the metal tilt-up door that had been painted over and some how ended up with a white cross on it. After I lost my argument that it was an antique now I was off to start the process to get a new sectional door. My garage door is little bit longer than 16' so I knew that it wasn't going to be a simple task. I got four estimates, two from the larger well known companies and two from well reviewed smaller companies in the area. One of the larger companies said I needed to get a custom door and it would take like a month or so to get. Their reviews were pretty good but they ended up being the most expensive by far. The other large company said they could cut an 18' door to fit and was cheaper but they had terrible reviews due to bad customer service and the workmanship did not seem too good. The first smaller company had great reviews and were the cheapest but they wanted to use a standard size garage door by adding wood to the frame but I don't like shrinkage when it comes to space and just didn't feel good about that option. The second smaller company, Glory Garage Door Services and the last I got an estimate from, turned out to be Goldilocks. They had great reviews and were able to quickly provide a door that fit the current garage frame without breaking the bank. Denys was very honest during the whole process. He steered me away from more costly things I didn't need and made sure that I was completely satisfied. He was always available by phone or text and responded quickly to questions or concerns. I actually felt bad because my phone was always sending his calls to voicemail even though I put his number in my contacts. Sorry Denys! My automatic garage door opener had died on me and as a result, I had been manually opening my garage door until one day the cable came undone and I could no longer open it manually as it was now off track and misaligned. I'd already purchased a new garage door opener and needed it installed as well as getting the cable reattached and the garage door realigned. I reached out to a few garage repair companies and received a few quotes. I eventually came across Glory Garage Door Services and connected with a gentleman named Denys. Denys came by the same day and assessed my garage and really knew what was going on with my garage. He took the time to point out where the issues were and what was needed to correct them. He said he can give me a temporary fix to get by, or a right way fix that I wouldn't have to worry for years to come. Of course, I chose to fix it the right way. About 1 hour later, he reattached the cable and made sure both had the right tension. He replaced the cheap China made spring with a new American made spring. He pointed out to me the difference between the China made and the American made spring. He explained the last person to install my spring used the cheap China made spring and it was an incorrectly sized part. At this point I knew I was getting a quality part along with quality work. This is the part where I could have cheaped out by keeping the China made spring but chose to switch it out. He also installed my new garage door opener which only took him about 20 minutes!
