I'm pretty sure it was a standard eggs benny with bacon but somehow it was SO tasty! The hollandaise sauce was really good as well! I like to put it on the side just in case it's not good but I ended up drowning my egg benedict in it. The potato side was just enough in size, crispyness, saltiness... very delicious as well! Really awesome place and cool spot. this place is extremely small. It was probably less than 15 tables total, so I don't think it would be a good place for 4+ parties. Surprisingly it was busy on a Wednesday morning around 9am. Figured it would be empty, but nope. They have a pretty extensive breakfast menu to suit anyone's breakfast cravings. I got the Homemade Corned Beef Hash and it was delicious. The corned beef was not too salty and it still had good chunks to it. Most of the corned beef I tend to have are too salty and too shredded for me. The potatoes were cooked well and the runny egg topped it off. I replaced by hash browns with fruit and it is well worth the cost and replacement. Typically my idea of fruits as a side is some pathetic assortment of fruit. Dear Glo, Wow. that was pretty darn good. I was visiting Seattle first time in a long time and this was literally our first stop. As other says, your wait was long reservation at 11:45AM to 1:15PM seating. 8*(** Though most would have given up and quit. We were not one of those. Plus we were visiting and where else were we going to go. We literally drove specifically here for you so doggonit we are going to eat here. The space was tight (it was smaller than I thought - the trickery of that giant mirror!). Initially sat next to the bathroom (nothing like people going to the bathroom near you to drum up your appetite!).. but luckily the one big table you have in the middle of the room opened up and you graciously let us move once we asked. Have you considered figuring out a way to expand? Or setup some tables outside? There must be a way... Then the food came. Blackstone Benedict (5/5) Corn beef hash (5/5) I don't know if it was the long wait, but the food was excellent. Was it worth the wait? I don't know about next time, but for the first time I think it was fine. Anyhow not sure next time I would visit since I don't live in the area. Went to Glo's this morning around 11 AM with two friends and was thoroughly disappointed. The wait was as extreme as other reviews stated, approximately an hour and a half. Unfortunately when we were seated next to the bathrooms we found ourselves accompanied by thirty flies. While we waited for someone to attend to us we had plenty of time to interact and found a little fly den in the corner. After a lengthy wait we were told by one employee that a server would be with us after he saw to quite a few other tables. We were surprised and felt like we were already getting a mediocre experience, despite the positive expectations that had been built by other Yelp reviews! After yet another long wait for the food we received the Aaron's Special, Salmon Benedict, and another Benedict. The food was admittedly pretty good, although it wasn't any different than what you could find at other Seattle diners. Also, the prices were pretty steep for what we received in both food and service. As Seattleites we are used to high prices but we still had a minor shock when we receiving the bill. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad day! Overall, skip the long wait and fly zoo. Just go to CJ's Eatery or Portage Bay or pretty much anywhere else. read more

Food was good but the staff didnt seem to want to take my order. They also refused to serve the couple that came in after me. They mentioned it was because of an issue with a previous order but the staff really should have elaborated. They pissed off the couple so much the couple smacked napkins and cups on the floor on the way out. I still have no idea why an issue with a previous order is grounds not to serve someone. My food was pretty good tho. I'll come back to see if anything changes on my next visit. I'd love to give them a better rating. This place is also very small and parking is very limited. We were promptly seated and the waiter was attentive and fun. When food arrived it was hot and delicious! I had the Glos' scramble and polished it! Which is quite the feat. Four eggs and veggies with sour cream and avocado. The family had the pumpkin spice latte which had a lovely little pumpkin "latte art" on top. After devouring every bite of our eggs benedicts, I can see why this place has a wait even on weekdays. (Granted it was a rather short wait - only 15 minutes or so - so don't be deterred!). My husband added spinach and I added avocado to our bennys, and the plentiful avocado added a nice creamy touch to each bite. The hashbrowns were plentiful, and the habanero hot sauce added just enough heat. The inside is deceivingly small but has a diner-esque coziness and familiarity. That mirror on the wall does a great job at making the space seem roomier than it is. The staff are friendly and on top of their game. My water glass and my husband's coffee mug were kept full to the brim. We had no complaints and plan to stop back in next time we're in Seattle... They have a fee for splitting a dish, but they waive it if you order an additional side for $2 or more. Glo's is a bit deceptive. Greasy spoon diner on the outside (actually on the inside too) but serving up large portions of some serous fresh breakfast. I'll be honest it took me awhile to get myself to go here despite living a block away mainly because of the way it looked. Someone once said something about book covers.... and judgement or something...... but I'm glad I went and intend to go back. The long and short of it: 1. Benedicts. Oh the benedicts. A few choices of benedicts are offered but the Smoked Salmon benedict is where its at. I highly suggest adding avocado, its worth the extra $$. The hollandaise sauce wasn't too heavy but the egg was poached slightly too long (yolk didn't run when I cut into it). Still the salmon was fresh and it came with a large side of hash browns that made it more than a meal. Looking forward to trying others. 2. Other Breakfasty Things. Scrambles, omelettes and hashes abound. The salmon scramble was substantial and tasty (veggies were very fresh). Overall the selection is large enough to keep coming back and trying new things without the worry of having a sub-par meal. 3. No Booze. I like to have a drink with brunch. They has no booze for the drinks. Bad Glo's. 4. Wait. Its small, its popular, and there's a pretty slow turnover rate so the crowd waiting outside starts accumulating pretty early and can get fairly large. If its an option I'd suggest ordering take-out or pickup, otherwise you'll spend as much time waiting on your brunch as you spend eating it. 5. Veggies. There are plenty of veggie options for the vegetarian folk, something I always appreciate. 6. Atmosphere. Small, old school diner. A bit cramped but not too too bad. I'll be back at Glo's often, though it will probably to be to pickup the order I called in. As tasty as it was its hard to justify the amount of time it takes to get in. I ordered the Eggs Benedict - Blackhouse which they put way too much hollandaise sauce on, which made the entire dish far too tarty tasting for my preferences (is it even supposed to be sour??? It seemed wrong) I was mildly disappointed avocado was mashed and not sliced. My friends were happy with their salmon scramble, and I tried a bit of their cinnamon swirl toast which I thought was good! We waited maybe 2 hours in the freezing cold - we had to step into Goodwill and Pretty Parlor to "browse" and kill time. My wife and I were anxious to eat at Glo's! I got the salmon Bennie and my wife got an egg white veggie omelet and we split some pumpkin pancakes. Overall the food was good but, I don't feel like it was anything fantastic or super unique. The food was prepared well from mostly non homemade ingredients, the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and they were accommodating to my wife's request to have the omelet cooked clean. The portions are smaller for what pay for. The space is very small. VERY small. Glo's is this quaint little restaurant a few steps away from Broadway in Cap Hill. They only have room for a few tables. If you're not there early, make sure you call in advance to put your name on their list or you'll be waiting for an hour to get seated.
