Pretty little restaurant. Probably a better choice for takeout. You definitely should make a reservation if dining in. There are many vegan choices. It's on the pricey side. Skip the spring rolls. The tofu satay was meh. The crab woonsen didn't look attractive, but tasted great! The papaya salad was also very good and fresh.

So many vegan Thai options at this place! Tried the Pad See Ew noodles with tofu no egg. Very good and not spicy. The spring rolls were perfect! A cute vegan option in Chelsea!

A nice spot where the food is just top of the line. I got tofu satay cuz when can you ever get that at most Thai places and the HH edamame. My partner got tofu green curry which we shared and was just lovely. All were served in culturally authentic bowls, which is important to someone like me who doesn't make alot of Asian food at home cuz our ingredients can be so particular, you can't just walk into Trader Joe's or Westside to make them! Also, the thing about places that are at a slightly higher price point like Glur is that you don't have to share the room with a loud, student crowd which makes for a calmer, more romantic setting: 19th Street in that area is super chill which adds to the vibe. Can't wait for my next paycheck (heh) to go again.

Solid neighborhood spot. This is apparently a regular place for my sister so we got a couple of her usuals and then a couple of new things to try. It's a cozy little space with about 7 or 8 tables. The wait staff was efficient and nice. For food, we ordered a fried chicken wing off the specials menu that was probably my favorite thing of the night because the spices and sauce just contributed to an amazing burst of flavor. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of it. We also got a khao soi, pad see ew, and crab fried rice. They were all pretty solid and enjoyable. I will say the type of crispy noodles used in the khao soi was different than other khao soi's I've had before and wasn't my favorite texturally. My sister also said the crab fried rice had a lot less crab than before as she was unsuccessfully hunting for visible pieces of crab. Other than those two nits, it's a pretty good spot that I'd go back to.

This vegan-friendly Thai restaurant has a wide variety of classic Thai dishes, and many options for plant-based customers. It is quite small inside but a cute place for a quick meal. Their Thai iced tea is made with oat milk, but if I didn't know, I wouldn't be able to tell! The apps were alright! The Plant-based Dumplings were made with a vegetable filling to mimic the look and flavor of meat, but I think you can definitely tell the difference. The filling also kept falling out once I put my fork in it. The Golden calamari had a light crisp as the breading was a bit thin, but it still had good flavor with a mayo dipping sauce. I loved the amount of crab in the Crab meat fried rice and the spice level on the Pad kee moa noodles. It was chewy and packed with fresh shrimp! Of course, no Thai meal is complete without Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Theirs was quite good.

4/5 Thai Tea -- a bit on the sweeter side, standard richness of a classic thai tea 4.5/5 Curry Puff -- crisp flaky pastry, generous and flavorful filling 4.5/5 Green Curry- really enjoyed the flavor of their green curry, along side all the veggies in the dish with the jasmine rice. 4/5 Massaman Curry -- nothing to write home about but was tasty and hit the spot for a massaman curry craving 3.5/5 Pad Thai -- taste was overall too sweet, sauce was very liquidy, noodles erred on the softer side. Also note this restaurant is on the smaller side, maybe 6 tables total. We came on a weeknight around 6pm, and was lucky a group just finished their meal so there was no wait.

SERVICE - located in Chelsea near flatiron - small interior with some seating for groups of 2-4 and a few tables outside - many people doing takeout - service made it seem like they wanted us to eat and leave as soon as possible rather than leisurely enjoying our meal - ambiance good for a casual/semi casual meal - restroom available for diners MENU - Thai selection of mains and chefs specials - many vegan/vegetarian options - average price ($20 per entree) FOOD - vegan khao nar ped (8/10): crispy vegan duck over brown rice with a gingery sauce and sides of cucumber and greens. I asked for chili paste on the side and while it wasn't spicy the tang and warmth from the ginger was unlike any Thai dish I have tried. The portion is perfect for one person and can easily be shared as part of a larger spread. The texture of the vegan duck was chewy, but the flavors were masked by the sauce. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! This is one of the most vegan friendly Thai places in the city that has affordable and flavorful food.

One of my favorite small spots in Manhattan for some comforting and delicious Thai food, I've come in a few times and their pad Thai with shrimp is delicious, I also love their red curry with vegetables. During my last visit to NYC I decided to try some of their soups I loved their Tom Yum with shrimp and their Tom Kha is a great option for those who are very sensitive to spice, they were both very good. It's almost a must visit whenever I come to New York Whether I come with friends or myself.

very tiny cute place. authentic thai food. beef pad med mamuang (cashew nut sauté) was the table favorite. pad thai was a little weird almost like sweet - prob wouldn't order it again. green curry was spicy and delicious. chicken satay appetizer with peanut sauce

Sweet cucumber relish. A chicken skewer with a cucumber relish.

Although Glur is small, it has a good layout and seating. This place is super comfortable and has a great vibe. We received hot and tasty food. Guests were always assisted by the wait staff. I highly recommend Glur Thai for lunch, brunch, dinner, or dates. For those who enjoy dining outdoors, the outside seating is a great feature. I loved the food because it was so flavorful and delicious. All menus should be requested. Only their seasonal menu was provided to me, with fewer specials. Other diners had additional menus, so I inquired about them.

Pad Thai with daring chicken and Ground Impossible Gra Prow
    Anna D.

Such a great vegetarian option - I'm not a vegetarian or vegan by any means but it's so nice that people can have more than the 1-2 options that menus generally offer. We didn't have any issues getting a table for 2 on a Saturday evening - it did start filling up as we ate. The menu is quite extensive with some core options and lots of newness with vegan options. I'd recommend the daring chicken option with any noodle - personally the pad Thai ($20) was good at first but then got too sweet once again. The ground impossible gra pow with rice ($22) was 100% a must have! It was very flavorful and had a sweetness without being overpowering. Would definitely come back - it's a small space but great for pairs or groups of 4.

A Hidden Gem That Completely Changed My Perspective on Vegan Food…read more Yesterday was my first visit to Le Botaniste, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The storefront and fresh drinks first caught my attention, so I thought it was mostly a juice or beverage spot. The moment I walked inside, I realized it was so much more. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and everything looked incredibly fresh. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service from Alan. He welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, answered all of our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge and enthusiasm made choosing our meals easy. Alan recommended their most popular bowl, the Pasta Bolognese, and mentioned it was also his personal favorite. After just one bite, I understood why. It was rich, hearty, full of flavor, and if no one had told me it was vegan, I never would have guessed. It has officially become one of my favorite plant-based meals. For my mother, Alan recommended the seasonal Mediterranean Bowl, and it was another excellent choice. I asked her if she enjoyed it, and her response was simple: "Yes... and I want more." That pretty much says it all. The drinks were also fresh, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meals. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. Even if you're not vegan, don't let that stop you from trying this place. Le Botaniste proves that plant-based food can be comforting, satisfying, and packed with incredible flavor. A huge thank you to Alan for making our first visit such a memorable one. Great food is important, but great hospitality makes people want to come back. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

I came on a weeknight with a reservation, was seated right away, and sat at the bar before a Broadway show. The bartender/server was very nice, attentive, and helpful when I asked for recommendations. I ordered the carrot bisque, scallop paella, and a lavender martini. The food was flavorful, and it was my first time trying hearts of palm. I'm not vegan and eat seafood, so I wasn't expecting the "scallops" to taste like actual seafood. They were made to look like scallops, which was a fun touch, but the texture was different. Overall, the paella was enjoyable and made for a unique dining experience. The lavender martini was interesting, but not for me. It had a floral, citrusy flavor that reminded me a little of perfume or floral soap. It wasn't unbearable. It was just not my personal preference. Service was efficient. Definitely on the pricey side and feels more like a treat, but life is too short to worry too much especially for a nice meal before a Broadway show. Since we were there for brunch, I decided to try the P.S. Breakfast ($22) which is tofu scramble, spinach, portobello mushrooms, and corn muffins. My friend got the P.S. Burger ($20) with a gluten-free bun ($2). For the breakfast, the portobello mushrooms were the highlight of the dish. They were very juicy and had strong umami flavor! I love spinach even plain, but I think it could have used a touch more seasoning. The tofu scramble was seasoned, but it could either use more seasoning or more moisture. The corn muffins were dry and crumbly, definitely the worst part of the dish. My friend said that the sauce brought the burger together and hid the fact that it's a Beyond burger. She also mentioned that she didn't feel heavy after eating the burger, which was nice. Despite us telling the restaurant that we had to go to a musical, service was on the slower side. My friend also had to try several times to get to the bathroom, since someone was always inside. However, the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. I would only recommend P.S. Beyond Sushi was in Midtown near where I was staying, so I ended up coming here---on Valentine's Day, which happened to be a mistake! Since I didn't have a reservation, the lady who checked me in told me I had to find a seat at the bar. Her attitude was not the best, as when I looked over the menu and made a decision on what I wanted to get, she dismissed me when I waved her over, saying she is not the person taking orders. Um, okay? Then who is? One guy at the bar was nicer, and was able to take my order. I started off with a hot tea since NYC was cold in February, and then decided to have as much as I could of two dishes---the "chicken" yakitori skewers and the Korean BBQ skillet. The skewers came in a set of two, with a white mayo-like sauce drizzle and pickled cucumber on the side. Super delectable, though very filling because of the protein! The skillet was made with classic Chunk Foods protein, the go-to plant-based option for all the meat dishes at City Roots restaurants as far as I know. This was incredibly filling, but the sauce and the texture were all around delicious as well. I could NOT bother to finish the brussels sprouts the skillet came with---way too much to stomach, and I was going to focus on the "meats" since I can always have brussels any other time! The bill by the end of it was PRICEY. That's why I only go to one of these restaurants as a special treat when I visit NYC. Watch out if you order hot tea...$13!! I guess that's the NYC way, but still!
