This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. They have the meat cooked and cut to order. Place was decent sized, hole in the wall vibes, but cozy! Staff were respectful and super nice. We ordered the pork banh mi (sandwich); super delicious. We ordered a Vietnamese coffee; authentic and strong, and we ordered the chicken vermicelli and the pork chop rice plate. Everything was super good, the pork chop rice plate was decent. The meat was a little thin but they do give you a large portion which is worth it. I'd definitely be back if I were in the area. Came in today to try this pkace out, got tired of Ramen and came back to Pho, this place is small when you walk in, but the flavor is top notch, ordered the big bowl with everything, the soup is really delicious and not too salty noodles are good and tasty, protein is really good, but was hoping g for more the noodle vs protein is not at a good ratio, needs a bit more protein especially more tendon,more tripe. All the proteins tasted good but I wanted more, I also had the shrimp spring rolls they were huge and filled with flavor from the mint, the basil it also had lemon grass and cucumber, and the shrimp were nice and firm crunchy and not fishy, the peanut sauce was tasty, but wish the peanuts were crushed and not halved. I have been eyeing out this place ever since this open thinking this would be my alternate Vietnamese food fix. Went on an odd hour around 230p-3p. As I was walking in they have a big sign on their door stating that their CC system is not working at the moment, so cash only. Luckily, I've got cash with me. I browsed through the menu ahead of time before coming here and was excited to try the Crispy Salted Shrimp with Steam Rice (extra $ for fried rice) I was thinking $15 might be stiff but when the plate came out, it came with 6 huge, crispies, buttery, salty (trust me, it's good salty) shrimps. For someone who usually goes to Garland or Arlington for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, I was very surprised to see a mom-and-pop place open up in Plano. I read all the reviews online, and the food photos looked amazing, so my sister and I decided to stop by. The restaurant is very small, with only five tables. The owner (I'm assuming) seated us at a larger table when we arrived, but we moved because another party came in and there were no other large tables available. We didn't mind since it happened before the food came out, but it's just something to be aware of. My sister ordered the hu tieu, goi cuon, and I got the fried rice at first. Then I saw a giant banh xeo being brought out to another table and started drooling-- so my fat ass decided to order one as well. All the dishes were delicious and filling, though I wish there had been more lettuce wraps and pickled daikon served with the banh xeo. We also got Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee, and both were solid. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service. The owner was very nice, and the food tasted authentic. The prices were $2-3 higher than what you'd typically pay in Garland, but since Plano is a more expensive area, it's totally understandable. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving authentic Vietnamese dishes. This place is solid and earned my recognition! read more

Stopped by Goc Vietnam on Thursday after hearing great things about the food on the Asian Grub Facebook group and we weren't disappointed! My husband and I split the egg rolls, spring rolls, banh xeo, and bo luc lac. The two appetizers we got were fresh and excellent. Spring rolls came with both pork and shrimp, and the peanut sauce on the side was delicious. The egg rolls were fried well and came with cucumber and lettuce that gave the dish a really nice crunchy freshness. The luc lac could've used some more gravy, but the flavor and tenderness of the beef was great and the vegetables were nicely charred. We had never tried banh xeo before and really enjoyed it! It was huge and came with tons of fresh herbs; we had to take half of it home because we couldn't finish. There's not a ton of space to sit down (maybe only 5-6 tables) and there were a few fruit flies buzzing around after we finished our food, so the ambience is not the best. Still, this is a great Vietnamese addition to this strip mall and we're looking forward to coming back and sampling some of the other less common items on the menu. read more

Hold the pho! (LOL I've always wanted to write that!!). This place rocks. I'm so glad it's here in this area, perfectly rounds out this new strip at Legacy and 75. I got the pho with rare steak and tendon. Totally didn't disappoint. Huge pieces of tendon. Broth was flavorful and not too salty. I hit mine with some chili oil, boy it was perfect. The hubs got the Bun Bo hue, and he said it was his new fave. It too had nice heat. It had different types of meat in there. Came in a HUGE bowl. Just be ready. It was previously a banh mi shop, now taken over by new management. No more banh mi on the menu. While I'm eager to try new businesses, this disappointed in every way. First of all, the menu was mostly in Vietnamese with little English. Secondly, there were no pictures making it difficult for non-Vietnamese to order. We ordered a couple of dishes and most were subpar. The crêpe was mostly filled with bean sprouts and miserable pieces of seafood. Most prices were between $15-$18 which is high for this quality . I ordered Pho. It was not good. The broth is flat and a bit salty. I ordered my usual eye of round steak and brisket Pho as a bar. The beef was not fresh along with the flat and cloudy broth. The brisket was tough. They cut it with the grain instead of against the grain, making it chewy. Overall the Pho was terrible. The service was nice though. read more

Excited to try this place after all the raving reviews, but was left disappointed. As soon as we walked in, no one was there to tell us where to sit or what to do. I saw an "order here" sign at the cash register, so I assumed maybe you order at the front. I picked up a random menu on a table to order and 5min later the owner finally came out and told us to sit down to order??? The food came out and the meat was very fatty and thin. Also, for an $18 rice plate there is still a $3 upcharge for egg. The space is tight b/c it was formerly a banh mi shop with a long counter taking over practically the whole restaurant. There are only a handful of tables in 1/3 of the restaurant. To top it off there was no a/c and only two fans running. I could understand if they can't get someone out for the weekend to fix, but from what I can tell from other reviews it's been over a month. Honestly, this is one of the most disappointing Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in a very long time. read more
