A lot of fancy drinks and fancy baked good are available here and everything looked good The menu also shows that they have lunch and dinner foods but I went with a regular coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Came here on a Tuesday morning with friends for some group studying, and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the cafe is! It has open paneled windows letting fresh air in, and big tables enough to fit a party of 6! I got the iced honey wildflower latte with an extra shot and it was B O M B. I do recommend either telling the baristas to go easy on the sugar OR add an extra espresso shot; my latte was PERFECTLY flavored and not too sweet but I believe the shot was what made it perfect, so cautious for those who may be sensitive by too much sweetness! I got the kale and bacon eggs benedict, and I loved the sauce and eggs but felt like they added waaaaaaay too much-sauted onion- and don't get me wrong I LOVE onion but it seemed a bit too much. Additionally, for a cafe with great vibes for studying their personal free wifi is a bit spotty (we had to switch to the mall's wifi). As a result, if you have a virtual meeting to attend, you may get kicked off because of the unreliable wifi. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in on a very busy Saturday for the first time. The wait was extremely long, I didn't know what the order so I asked the cashier what they recommend and they had no good recommendations. They seemed very happy to be there and overall did not fit the vibe of the restaurant. Upon taking my iced coffee to go, I asked if they had pup cups for my dog that was in the car and a woman working there snapped at me and said we don't do that here. It's not that hard to make a pup cup. My drink lacked flavor and was completely unstirred. The syrup was at the bottom, the milk in the middle in the coffee somewhere in between. This restaurant is a pleasant addition to the Four Corners. I'm always looking for new and different coffee shops that also have more than bakery. Our table was visited a number of times as our food was brought out and we were brought coffee refills. Yes, the restaurant is cashless. But I find that every time I go for coffee I pay with my phone anyway. Rarely do I ever pay with cash. The Four Corners a bit confusing to drive into and around, but parking is ample and the Von Maur parking lot is very close, less than a block away. I also need to add this: don't confuse a coffee shop with a regular restaurant. Yes, The Goddess and the Baker serves food. But their main focus is coffee. If you are expecting a regular restaurant with creamer sugar, salt and pepper on the table, coffee shops just don't do that. The customer seeks these things out and they're easy to find. My wife and I decided to try a new place for breakfast on New Year's Day. We decided on The Goddess and Baker. When we arrived, the first challenge was finding parking. It is located in a poorly designed "fake downtown" known as the Corners of Brookfield. We ended up walking about 2 blocks since there was no parking near it. When we opened the door we were assaulted by Steven Tyler and Aerosmith screaming "Dream On, Dream On, Dream On." At 9 am? I ordered 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, toast and coffee. They brought the coffee first. It came in a very small glass carafe, just enough for 1 refill. They didn't bring cream. My wife discovered the cream was in a pitcher on the bar about halfway across the restaurant. If I wanted cream, I had to get up from my seat and go get it. When the food arrived, it barely fit on the tiny plate. There was no salt or pepper, and I usually like to put pepper on my hash browns. We later discovered that the pepper, like the cream, was located in another part of the restaurant. Again, if I wanted pepper for my hash browns, I would need to get up (again) and get it. The food was OK I guess, though most places give you two pieces of toast and here they only gave one. When I poured the refill of my coffee, it was cold. I didn't finish it. Yuck. When we were finished, we weren't sure if we had to bus our own dishes or if they did. We discovered a bussing station near the door, so our final act was to place our dirty dishes next to everyone else's, and then go back for our coats. Would I come back? "Wow" doesn't quite do it justice. This café is one of those rare shops in which perfectly executed aesthetic pairs effortlessly with exquisite culinary craft. This place knows who it is and nails it from first look to last bite and sip. The coffee drinks are top notch and the baked goods are delicious. I love this spot for lunch at the corners! I always go for a salad and a treat. I've come here a handful of times to try all the different salads. My favorite is the grilled salmon kale caesar. I keep coming back to this one. I've also tried the special (forgot what it is called - crunch and gorgonzola?), the baker's chopped (recommend adding a protein), quinoa and arugula (light & refreshing), and the chicken gyro greek (pass). These salads will fill you up! You get a lot of veggies. I've also tried the santa monica turkey sandwich. You can pass as this sandwich is nothing special. But please do try their cakes! I've been saying the Corners needs a coffee place since it opened and was hoping it would not be a Starbucks. So when it was announced Goddess and the Baker was coming, I was seriously jumping for joy. My excitement has quickly dissipated each time I visit; granted the couple of times has been to take items to go so will give it another try. I had one of their special Pumpkin Spice Maple lattes and it was just bad. I took a couple of sips and just couldn't drink anymore, tossing out a full drink. The drink had such a bad after taste and when asked if they could just make it pumpkin spice they told me they could not do that. Today, got the Chicken Gyro Chicken salad. It was so bland even with the tzatziki and dressing on it. The chicken gyro was a weird texture also. The naan was good though. I asked about some of their muffins and their ingredients as I have this weird quinoa allergy and it seems like now a days quinoa is in everything. The staff seriously had no idea what was in some of their muffins. I do like the interior and all the different seating options. Super cute cafe with a phenomenal menu! Nothing here is average so prepare to be wow'd! I came early morning with my laptop and hunkered down a couple hours for work. I started with a drip coffee and was impressed by just the creamer and sugar tray alone. Multiple creamer options, including almond and soy, and sugar/ stevia packets, cubes (raw and white), and even liquid sugar. I'm not sure what options weren't available! I sat in the cozy nook off to the back for a little extra quiet and comfort in the leather-like chairs. The main dining area had a little more foot traffic than I preferred so the back area was perfect. I went back up later to order a glitter gold latte (because, glitter!) and a morning sandwich. Honestly though, the breakfast options all looked amazing so it was almost hard to choose just one! Also, the stacks and stacks of cookies, cupcakes, brownies, desert breads (topped with flowers, of course!), Rice Krispies, cakes (the rainbow and chocolate both caught my eye immediately!), and everything else you can imagine all looked absolutely perfect. Storybook perfect. After ordering, I sat back down with my table tracker expecting it to alert me when my food was ready but a server brought me my drink and food. The glitter gold latte was beautiful and rich, tasty and overall amazing. The latte art is still being perfected here but I'll be back to treat my daughter to this divine beverage and I'm sure hers will be perfect. The breakfast sandwich was also good with a touch of tomatillo sauce and a generous helping of avocado. The staff stopped by periodically to see if my food was okay, if i needed anything else and also cleared my dishes when I was finished. Goddess and the Baker also has a small area to buy cute glassware, clothing, treats and WINE! This is a fantastic place to treat yourself to exceptional coffee and a bite to eat that's above and beyond your typical cafe options. The environment is trendy, cool, and yet comfortable enough to hang for a bit and get some work done. I'm glad I came out to Brookfield and I'm already planning our next visit! read more

I love the cashless pay system.
