I never give negative reviews but this place was so bad it DESERVES ONE. I walked in , place was completely empty. Ordered an individual pizza and a calzone to go. They were out of pretty much everything... that should've just been a sign to leave. We gave her our name for the order and went and sat at a table to wait for our food. After over an hour of waiting, we went up to the desk to ask for an update on the order. The lady said she set it on the counter awhile ago. While I was standing in the front trying to order, she walked to the back. In addition, the food wasn't all that great. The potato wedges were flavorless and totally dry. Thought maybe it would be worth the 20 minute drive to get a Godfather's pizza. Bad idea. My wife has food allergies (Alpha-gal Syndrome). Meat products will make her violently ill. Cross-contamination alone will cause her problems. To avoid this we order her a separate pizza. One of the pizzas on the order was a Veggie (hers). The pizza looked like a veggie, but it had meat mixed in that was not supposed to be there. It was not immediately evident that there was meat on the pizza and none should have been there so my wife took a bite. She said it tasted different and she started picking apart the toppings only to find meat throughout this individual pizza. As I write this she is throwing up and taking medication to control the reaction. Whether we end up at the ER remains to be seen. These kinds of mistakes can make people severely ill or kill them. read more

I grew up on Godfathers in Indiana and LOVED it. We don't have any anymore so all that I remember is that it was delicious. Had to have some while in town. Yep, still delicious. We ordered through doordash. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the cost. We got a large with pepperoni and sausage, a large supreme and an order of cheestix. Our total was $95.23. Went to the Godfathers in McKinney on Saturday, 11/8. The first issue was the price of a large. When I called, some guy told me $11.99 for one topping. When I got there, this lady--forgot her name--said they didn't have that offer. So, long story short, I ended up ordering $45.91 worth of pizza. The guy there, she told him to go make the pizzas. Keep in mind, I was the only one there at that time. I placed my order at 5:10pm, per the receipt, but at 5:55pm my order still wasn't ready. Clearly, I was pissed by then. The lady behind me received her pizza, which she ordered after me. Then, about four other customers arrived, not including the DoorDash orders. I went to the counter and asked for my refund; she said it was coming out now. I said, no, I don't want that--I want a refund. The guy there said, "this is just too much pressure on me." He said the other person didn't show up. OK, not my problem. I've been waiting over 50 minutes for two large pizzas. I kept asking for my refund. By this time, the guy came out with some cinnamon bread and said, "here's your order." I told him, "Look here, that's not my order." I was hot, my head hurt, back hurt, and my Lupus was flaring up. I said, "All I want is my refund." I had to call the lady to open the cash register to give me my refund. Everyone else, even the DoorDash drivers, was getting impatient. Finally, she came and said, "It's ready." I told her, "No, I don't want it. I want a refund." The other guy, who's supposed to be making pizzas, was just standing there apologizing instead of helping her. I received my refund, and I know that lady was mad because she was red in the face. This was the worst experience I've had with them. I was totally pissed after driving from Plano, and I won't be going back. I wasn't treated fairly. Customer service sucks! Tonight, I placed a phone order with this restaurant and the person who answered the phone had a very thick FOREIGN accent, he was very difficult to understand. I ordered two taco pizzas, one regular and one specialty taco pizza with extra toppings and yet I only received one taco pizza and a regular specialty pizza with black olives. I asked for extra ranch dressing for both salads only one salad had extra dressing..... very disappointing, although I asked him to repeat the order back to me before I hung up, they still managed to screw it up. The guy who took the order, obviously did not know that they have a specialty version of a taco pizza that has extra toppings ; they should train their people better. We unfortunately wasted our money at Godfather's pizza. I can't understand or even believe they have the awards that they do. Not worth it at all. Pizza came 45 minutes late and I encountered the rudest delivery driver ever. I'm okay with things running behind schedule delivery but I absolutely cannot accept rudeness and unconcerned service. Driver called to confirm the address and that was okay. What's not okay is the refusal to get out the car and deliver food at 7pm in West Ridge Mckinney. Got meat lovers, Mac & cheese, and a regular cheese pizza. Meat lovers was solid. The regular cheese was super greasy and very disappointing. I have definitely made better pizza at home. I'm not sure why this restaurant has 3 stars on here?? I've always had good experiences here. It's clean. The staff is friendly and they get the order correct. I appreciate that they offer halal options for our family. I feel like their prices are reasonable for the portion size. The wait time is not bad at all for a pizza. I had to change my baby in their restroom yesterday and they have a very clean women's bathroom. The bathroom has a very clean and updated changing table in the wall. I always love when a business has those to support parents on the go. Nothing is worse than needing to change a diaper but not having a changing table. Overall, it's a good pizza spot. They also have outdoor patio dining which is nice now that spring is around the corner. read more

It took me three years to try this place, because there are so many other places to get remarkable pizza. Unfortunately, Godfather's doesn't come close to making that list. I had a deep dish (standard) two topping pizza and caramel monkey bread. The crust was kind of boring and a bit spongy, so not much else mattered. The monkey bread needed maybe twice as much...ummm...stuff that's not bread. More monkey, less bread, I guess. Interior was clean, employee was nice. Recipe needs help. When we walked into this place yesterday, we were able to walk right up to the counter. I have not had this place since 1996 in Florida. It has been long overdue. I recently found that these places were still on the market back in 2020, but the drive was too far. The online menu was different than what the actually had on the menu screen. Once I got to the facility. It was expanded. They had more items to choose. If you walked into the location then what was actually on the menu online. Some additional specialty pizzas like the one I had which was the spicy chicken pesto. They also had another non-spicy pesto pizza. There is some other pizzas as well that I will have to definitely go back for. My daughter just had a plain cheese, which she loves. We both had pan pizzas. They do offer original and thin crust. The cashier/ cook/ busboy/ whatever else he needed to be was very efficient. He only had one other person there with him but he kept everything going. The pizzas came out bubbly and piping hot. Surprisingly, I didn't even order extra cheese on the pizza but it was so heavily cheese. I was so grateful that all the toppings were covered and secured in a blanket of mozzarella. My daughter's pizza was cheesy as well. It makes me wanted to think what it would have looked like if I had ordered extra cheese. My only downside was that they only used ranch dipping sauce from hidden valley, which I am not a fan of. Thank goodness the pizza itself had enough sauce that I did not miss not having the ranch. My daughter was fine with the ranch and gobbled it up. She ate an entire individual pizza. Having grown up eating Godfathers pizza back in the late 70's and 80's in Omaha, I was excited to see a new Godfathers pizza open up a couple blocks from my house. Just went there for lunch and decided to eat in...big mistake. The pizza was dry and crust was hard, not like it used to be back in the day. Disappointed to find out they did not have a soda dispenser and you had to purchase each can/bottle individually. If that wasn't bad enough, the Dr. Pepper bottle I received was spoiled (no fizz or carbonation). Tasted like it had been sitting outside in heat for several months or they bought highly discounted old, out of date warehouse stock? The prices overall were fairly high for a subpar pizza. However, the new location is very clean, but small. Think I'll stick to Rosati's or Grimaldi's pizza!! read more

i ordered a pizza online and paid $22.97 for a medium pizza and my card was charged a $74 tip which i did not choose a tip online. i don't tip for carryout. so i call the store to inquire about the canceling/refunding the tip portion. i was told yesterday a manager was not in but would call me back in 30 minutes. that did not happen, i never received a call back. i called again this morning and the owner was rude to me about the mistake in the tip amount and said i was lying and did in fact tip $74 online. he did nothing to resolve my issue and now they refuse to refund my money and i will never support them again. maybe they rude where they come from but for me its not what you say but how you say it. very unsatisfied customer read more
