This place is dark, dirty, and understaffed. Only about 1/3 of the available lights were actually on, so that at first it didn't even appear to be open. As far as I could tell, one lady was running the entire show by herself.... at noon on a Saturday! The spinach in the salad bar was brown and slimy. The arcade games were all sticky and full of fingerprints, as though they hadn't been wiped down in weeks. The food was okay enough to eat, but I would not return. The people who are running the place are too cheap to turn on the lights and hire employees, I won't be surprised when they go out of business. read more

Me and my family always come to eat here. The lady there either the owner or Manager is the worst. We came at 8:30 pm an hour before closing. And instead of telling us at around 9:15 pm we're getting ready to close She TURN THE LIGHTS OFF How rude can u be. So if this is the God fathers pizza I just ordered from if your the head honcho in charge and you're reading this, your manager just messed up huge! No joke. Just got off the phone with her after explaining to her the order was wrong. She was very upset and told me not to talk to her like that when all I was doing was asking questions to figure things out. She kept interrupting me and trying to correct me after a heated argument about her watching the "person" make the pizza... I just wanted to talk to her boss because she was the manager; that I know for sure has been working there like forver, and she was just trying to make me look bad when I was talking to her clammy the whole time. I was just trying to explain that there was no mushrooms and all the toppings are on top and not underneath the cheese like we first talked about when ordering.. anyway to long to explain. She then said five wings is approximately a pound then I got four, witch is ok but what if its three the next time? Is that ok when "she"/ the manger has said multiple times your getting 5 wings for five something sounds like a good deal to me.. And I'm the sucker for giving the driver $35 bucks for an order that came out to $28. Because I'm like that, that's why. Wouldnt have done it if I new what bs I was being handed. I'm still waiting for Godfather's to make me an offer I can't refuse. For about twice the price you'll pay at Domino's, you can get pizza at Godfather's. Pluses are: A fairly nice dining area where Domino's has none and a fresh salad bar. Whenever a pizza place offers eat in options, you have the right to expect good service, and you will get it here, after a fashion, provided this Godfather's has little to no other customers. Here's how the customer service worked the last time I was here about 8 months ago: For whatever you need, or want, go up to the counter. No one comes to you. Yes, drink refills are free, but you must cart you glass to the counter to receive one and wait if the cashier is waiting on others. I find the pizza toppings to be skimpy considering the price of around $20 for a pizza. About a year and a half ago I ordered pizza to go, to be ready at a specified time. When I arrived at the specified time the pizza was not ready. I was not told that they had not even started to make it. After 15 minutes of waiting, I figured this out (because I'm sloooooww that way), and demanded to speak to a manager. I was given a free pizza coupon to use the next time and was satisfied with that result. About a month later, I ordered another pizza to be ready at a specified time, because, well, I really am a slow learner and I had a free pizza coupon. When I arrived I was pleased to find my pizza ready for pick up. However, when I reached my destination, it was obvious that this time the pizza had been sitting under the warming lights for at least 40 mins prior to the specified time of pick up. It looked and tasted as though we were eating leftover pizza, which is admittedly good the day after eating a fresh pizza, but not so great when fresh pizza is what you had anticipated. Finally, I went back again, this time to eat in with a friend. The salad bar was pretty good, but the serve yourself and be served at the counter when we get around to helping you, was a drag. Though located just a few blocks from my house, I have not been back here, nor do I plan to come back anytime soon, and it's been 8 months. Overall For freshness of ingredients: 3 stars For price: 1 star For service: 1 star again I still like the occasional pizza, but have opted to stick with Domino's which makes no pretense at being high class, but has great thin crust pizza and gets your order ready on time for significantly less money. read more

I used to be in restaurant management so I easily notice the cracked tiles along the counters. That is bad news, makes me wonder what has been let go behind the counter. I do not know how corporate can let a franchise get run down like this. I wanted a calzone so searched menus on line and found Godfathers may be the only place offering them so off I went to get a calzone. They delivered me my calzone in a to go box even though I ordered dine in. No apology and no one bothered to bring me a plate as I began eating. I have eaten calzones at Godfathers in Sacramento so I know they were not preparing to corporate standards. What they did is they took a small pizza dough serving and shoveled and not very evenly my toppings on it and stuck a gob of cheese in the middle then folded the dough over it. Even the sauce over it was poured on unevenly. I wish I had the thought of taking a picture to send to corporate. It was disgusting. Like I said, I have years of management experience in fast food, my other two recent visits to this place at night the restaurant was practically empty, yet there were un bussed filthy and dirty tables. Only one other couple there and yet I had to struggle to find a clean table. I was there for over 50 minutes watching TV during my meal and no one came out to clean anything. read more

They have a dining room but as with most cheap pizza chains, the eating areas are nasty and smell funky. I reccomend take out only.The pizza is okay and prices are like Dominos and pizza hut. We moved out from the chicagoland area, and found a fantastic pizza here. We've tried many here in Reno, and their sauce is tastes like real marinara, and not to sweet. The pizza was fast, very tastee, and loaded with the toppings we requested. They also made sure we got the best deal for our money, got the cheese bread too...mmmmmm . Decided to try the lunch buffet here after not having eaten at a Godfathers in about 12 years and was sadly disappointed, the pizza was fine but the salad was soggy and we felt rushed even though it was not busy. My boyfriend picked up a taco pizza from here and brought it home. I'd never had one before but the pictures looked okay. MOST disgusting thing I've ever had. He said they used to be much different and delicious and it has totally gone downhill. It was dry, crusty and hard cheese, no sauce, tasted like a piece of bread with lettuce and tomatoes on it. I want to like this place, really I do. The pizza is actually really good, the dough is a good quality, they are baked well, I enjoy the toppings, but there is a lot going against this location. The dining room is a bit dark and dingy, the cleanliness of the restrooms could use improving, and the options on the buffet are minimal (I think last time I was there it was only three pizzas and garlic knots). If you are in the area and you want pizza, don't want to spend a lot of money (it is very affordable), and don't mind the drawbacks, this place is a good place to go to. I've noticed the quality has gone down. I went to the buffet and most of the pizza was undercooked. However my biggest complaint is about the pepperoni pizza. I was cooked to perfection and when i took a bite a hair was sticking out of the dough. When I showed the worker she told me that it looked curly (no it didn't) and was probably mine. I was literally embedded in the dough but she refused to acknowledge the mistake. Rather than make a scene I decided to not eat it and left very disappointed. This used to be my favorite pizza and now I can't even eat there without fear of random hair in my dough. But being accused of embedding my own extremely curly hair into the dough was ridiculous. This was one of my favorite pizza places when I was a kid and a teen-ager. When I went to RHS they wouldn't let students dine there at lunch, which kind of made it a forbidden fruit that I loved more. Maybe my pallet has become more educated. I kind of doubt it. But anything is possible. I think the owners have really let this place go. The pizza is second rate, they don't even have Godfather's boxes anymore, and it tasted like ass. I am really bummed out by this. I was truly looking forward to having a peperoni pizza like the old days when I came back to Reno last time. It really, really didn't happen. The Pizza Buffet Lunch STINKS. There were only 3 types of Pizza, all three were COLD and they had to be completely gone before they would bring out anything new and fresh. If one doesn't like bacon, pepperoni or peppers he/she is S.O.L.!!! The only decent item there was the Dessert Pizza and even the potatoes were almost gone, cold and dried out. The lady at the register COULD NOT have been less personable if she practiced at it. The first thing I noticed was the filthy front door and that there was just about NOBODY there. They could/should have been cleaning the front door and window since there were precious few patrons.
