Haven't had a good Asian style Buffet since moving to the area so we were excited to try this place out. Came around lunch on a Saturday and it was not packed surprisingly. We paid and were seated promptly. Food was good. I loved the sushi and sashimi they had. It was smaller pieces than I'm used to, but they were tasty and fresh plus all you can eat so I piled it on my plate. No fish smell at all! Hibachi grill was great and the hot items I tried were all pretty good. The only thing I didn't like were the stuffed mushrooms. I felt they were over cooked and didn't quite taste right. We went here when it first opened....all the food were great. Our family been here a few times, but just recently we noticed the cold crab leg is not fresh. I agree with the other reviewers. The crab is hard to eat. I would recommend them switching it back to the previous version or not offer it at all. I think offering subpar food will damage their reputation in the long run. Newly open in Tracy! Great value, fast turn around and the best part is the food! Everything is super fresh and always full so you never have to come back to the table without a full plate. The sushi bar looks fantastic with sushi coming out every couple minutes. All and all this is great for value. This is a new buffet in Tracy. We have been without an Asian buffet in Tracy for a long time. The food quality is really good, I'd have to say. I read some people saying the food has no flavor but to me the food was salted properly. This was my second time eating here. The food was as tasty this time as it was the second time. I tried the hibachi grill this time and it was so good. I enjoyed having the fresh cracked egg in my fried rice. . Also, I really liked having the serve yourself beverage station. I hate waiting for beverage service at other buffets. Lots of options to choose from and their coffee Asian cake was SOO good. The opening Manager, Bob, is super friendly. This was by far the worst buffet experience I've ever had... This place is a nightmare from start to finish. The air conditioning was broken, and the fans they had on did nothing to cool the place down. Despite the unbearable heat, they charged full price, which was outrageous given the conditions. The food was absolutely disgusting. We left within 10 minutes of arriving because it was that bad. There were flies all over the food, which was incredibly unsanitary and revolting. Newly opened buffet in Tracy. The place is spacious, clean and organized. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Overall the food are great although I noticed the few of the chicken menus were kind of tough and chewy. I liked that the drink is included. Also noticed that the steam salmon were kinda chewy and overcooked. I wish they have oysters. Or maybe in the future. Would like also to recommend to put up signage that says. We went just after they first opened and we're very pleased. Good service, clean facility and the food selections were very good and tasty. We went again just several weeks ago at dinner again and the place was less than a third full. After selecting our food I understood why. I tried several different foods from seafood to BBQ and they all seemed like they had been sitting out for a very long time and some even had the texture of cooked leftovers. The place was still very clean and the staff was nice however the food is way off. I could not EatMe what I selected and the only thing that did not loose quality was the ice cream cups. So we have been to this place 3 times since they opened. Today made 4. The first 3 times it was great. We went on Friday and Saturdays. Tonight we went and it was a nightmare. The sushi tasted like it was made 4 hours earlier. The rolls were all stale and the rice was hard. It was clearly made earlier in the day and dried out. My son went to take a bite of his fried chicken and there was a hair in it. My husband grabbed some crab legs that are usually good and they were like rubber and the meat was all dried out. We couldn't even eat it. We spent over $80 on the 4 of us and it was a waste. We walked in and out in 20 min. 5 star for the waiters - they were very nice and attentive. Very good at keeping everything clean, and removing plates as soon as you're done with them. As for the sushi - I would say that alone is a good deal. The fish is clean; no odor. The salmon is comparable to the sashimi I find in Portland Oregon. Just Nitpicking: The walnut shrimp was a little too sweet. And the crab didn't have enough salt but these dishes can easily be improved. I miss AYCE buffet places. It was popular back in the late '90s early 2000. This place was a rare treat and throwback to the AYCE format. The place was clean, and the staff was attentive to the bussing and inquired on how the food was. I loved the robot! The place can hold quite a few people for dining. Came here for weekday lunch at around 1pm. Wasn't busy at all. The concept is very simple, pay first and everything else is self serve. The dining area is huge and can seat large parties. The buffet area is also large with food stations on one side and steam tables in the middle. They had a large variety of foods, but not one thing really stood out. The hibachi grill lacked variety of vegetables and the sushi were basically california rolls with different toppings, smothered in eel sauce. This buffet reminds me of Sakura buffet in Sacramento. Similar offerings, but located in Tracy. The restaurant is new, so bathrooms and interior are clean. I would give it 3.5 stars for the food, it's not worth the drive from Stockton to frequent this place when there's similar restaurants closer to home. Love this place! This is the first AYCE buffet we have ever tried here at Tracy (we are from MH). The sushi offerings rival those that are sold at japanese restaurants. You get a bang for your buck if you love sushi. The sashimi are fresh, the sushis are prepared well. The quality on these are above par. Now if you're not into sushi, the Chinese food selections are good too. There's a lot of options. The crab legs were our fave especially when this restaurant first opened. But now, the crab legs are sub-par. It's hard work to get the meat out of that shell. It wasn't like that before so I agree with other people's observations that the quality went down on the crab legs. Which is disappointing because that's one of the items that can easily make this place really really good. Aside from the food, I want to applaud the workers here. They always keep the food area clean, the tables clean etc. They are amazing and hopefully they get recognized for that. Overall, I would keep coming back to this place, it's clean, the food is great, the sushis are amazing. The food was OK. The sushi wasn't so fresh. I just want to warn those with kids - that they do not eat free. They have this measurement chart that breaks it apart depending on their height and age, which, if your kids are taller than the average age limits, you will be charged. I didn't mean to argue this with them, but they clearly don't understand the American height average vs Asian height average, which is very different. My 11 yr old girl is 64" and my 10 yr old son is 58". I was charged half price for my son since he was under the 60" limit. It's ridiculous. Any lawyer would see that if they don't want a lawsuit, they need to either take out those ridiculous rules or change their wording because it's very misleading. read more
