I was first interested in this restaurant cause I saw on social media it was only $25 and had a huge variety of food like snow crab legs and prime rib. They have 2 locations one in Tracy and one I Gilroy. I went to the Tracy location and was disappointed going in. I was most excited for the snow crab legs but they didn't have any even considering it was a first night. Majority of the seafood was seasoned salt and pepper style which got too salty after the 2nd round. Majority of the food looked like it was sitting there for hours. I wouldn't be surprised if it was considering there was only 3 groups of people in the restaurant for a Friday night crowd.

Little corn nubs. A little hard to eat, but the corn was sweet and delicious.

I'm spending the night in Tracy, so I decided to come back and try their dinner menu. I was not disappointed. As the last time, , the place was clean, and the people were very friendly. The dinner menu had most of the amazing things from the lunch menu, but they also had some very good other items. Some of the items on the menu were, peel and eat, shrimp, salt, and pepper, shrimp, "13 spiced crawfish", (no thank you, I'm not *THAT*brave...) frog legs, (people say they taste like chicken... They have the texture of chicken, but to me, the taste was more of a cross between chicken and fish). They also had fried crab, real crab in the shell. How can you not like the taste of real crab? As before, the sushi was very good, and on the dinner menu they have my favorite Chinese buffet item, coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp here is amazing. The shrimp are lightly breaded, and the coconut sauce is sweet, but not overly so. Another shrimp, item they had, was shrimp, stuffed chicken. A piece of chicken, with a shrimp in the middle of it. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the shrimp and the chicken played very well together. They also had four different kinds of soups, I tried the egg drop soup and the miso soup. The egg drop soup was rich and flavorful, as was the miso soup. I've had very salty miso soup before, but it depends on the type of miso they use. This was not very salty at all. There was only one thing I didn't really care for, and that was the peanut butter, lo mein. To me, it was OK, but it just tasted like plain lo mein. I couldn't taste the peanut butter. That was the only thing I didn't care for, not worth taking off a star. I tried several desserts, they had like a strawberry pudding that was good, I had the bananas in. I believe it was strawberry sauce, also very good. They had a full chocolate cake, and it was rich, moist, and very chocolatey. Finally, I had the banana pudding again, and that was just as good as the last time. The price for dinner is very reasonable. They do charge an automatic gratuity now, anywhere from 8 to 15%, depending on the number of people in your group. Even with the automatic gratuity, with food, drink, tax, and gratuity, I was only out the door $27 and change. That was with the 10% senior discount, but even at full price it would've been worth it Once again, I really enjoyed my meal here. 谢谢

I was in town visiting family, some of who had been here a couple weeks before and decided we should all go. We went around 7:30pm on a Saturday Night with 12 people. It was $25.99/person. They also have children prices based on age. I thought there may be a wait but the place is pretty big and there was no wait at all. It was busy but not overcrowded. Living in Las Vegas and visiting many different buffets, I was impressed by this one. There is lots, and I mean lots of seafood. They have sushi, crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, clams, fish, oysters, etc. They have seafood chilled and also fried. If seafood isn't your thing they have lots of other choices such as fried chicken or wings, chow mein, bbq spare ribs, dumplings, spring rolls, fried rice, fries, veggies, etc. Also several chicken, beef and pork stir fry dishes (think orange chicken, broccoli beef). The Hibachi Grill is great. You pick out your protein, veggies, noodles, rice etc and they cook it for you. They have desserts and self serve drinks included. We all enjoyed our dinner. The place is clean and they have enough employees to keep the food trays full and things organized. They bus tables quickly and everyone is nice. The last time my family came, they saw the robot in action. The robot wasn't moving around today but we were seated right next to where it is and it would "talk" every now and then. It's located at West Valley Mall and you can enter from the outside (you don't have to go into the mall). Lots of parking. I'll definitely be back!

First time here but not new to buffets. You pay first then the host brings you to a table. The seating area is decently spaced out between the buffet and drink area so you don't feel people hovering over you getting their food. It was 10 minutes after opening and the sushi wasn't ready yet so I started on the hot food first. There are some items that other buffets I have gone to don't have. They have bbq spare ribs and fried scallops. The ribs were sweet and little tender, I liked it. Fried scallops are imitation, had a slight scallop flavor. If you like imitation crabmeat you'll like this. It's different, I'm not mad at it but wouldn't get again now that I've had it unless it is real scallop served dinner time. There are hardly any traditional Chinese dishes. They cater more to the American pallette and kids have some options. I'll eat it but prefer to have some mixed into the menu. They don't have salt and pepper shrimp with the head and shell on but they do have fish. Hibachi Buffet and Grill in Fairfield has it too. I recommend that buffet. They have two dim sum option, shrimp har gow (dumpling) and potsticker/gyoza. I don't know if those are the only two available daily or it changes day to day. I would come back to find out for myself. The sushi selection isn't huge but it is satisfactory. The pieces are bite sized which is good so you can try everything and still save room for other items. The dessert/fruit/salad selection is cool. I have never seen whole cakes, two of them at that. I didn't have a sweet tooth so I didn't try it. And they have ice cream cups. I never go for the hibachi anywhere, if it is your thing, they have it. My takeaway of this place is, if you love Chinese buffets and are in the area, give them a shot. $16.99 for lunch including drinks is a deal in this economy. It is clean, staff are attentive and it is next to a mall and Winco across the street, you can walk off the meal and do some shopping. I'm from San Jose, about an hour away, I'd definitely come back.

My family and I came by the last hour of the restaurant closing. They seated us quickly and were kind. Sadly, the only issue I had was the limited choices for food. There were still people coming in to dine after us and it didn't seem right for some of the stations to close. So we didn't have the choice to try that. I was told not to say anything if I have nothing good to say but this place is that bad. All the food was borderline inedible. Everything was oddly dry??? Things that are supposed to be crispy are soggy and everything that's not supposed to be crispy ended up being crispy??? Crab and cheese and the spinach and cheese were absolutely horrid. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Went to celebrate hubby's bday coming on Tuesday but turned out the bday freebie only starts the Monday of the bday week and they're pretty strict about it so we ended up paying for everyone. The price is pretty decent at $25.99 compared to Tomi Sushi dinner price of $41.99 on weekends. Love the hibachi grill but wish the beef is sliced much thinner. Make sure to add fried egg! They also have crab legs, sashimi and even frog legs! If you're craving for boiling crabs, just come here for the seafood boils. Even tho we didn't get the free bday meal, they still have their robot came to our table singing happy birthday while delivering a slice of cake with candle which is pretty amusing

Returned Friday oct 27 at 8pm, and again Fri Nov 10 at 8pm. We kept finding more coupons in the mail so we decided to see if any improvements on the crab. We were very satisfied both times. Crab was fresh and cooked to perfection. Butter was back to normal. No complaints. Still hoping for spicy fried chicken to come back soon, alternatively, they do have fried party wings. Plenty of staff, all staying busy to clear out the dinner rush, and readily available for assistance. Thank you!!! We'll return soon. They do pick up the dirty dishes from our tables very efficiently, sometimes maybe too efficient, because even plates that are not done get swiped away. read more

Ambiance was nice. Very clean since it's a newly open. I hope they can keep this up. I decided to come here with my friends for my birthday and all of the food options was giving 10/10. They have alot to choose from. I really loved that everything was hot and fresh and that beverages were self-served. Service was attentive for it being packed on a weekend. First time I've seen coconut chicken on a buffet, and it was pretty tasty. The dry seasoning on the crab was good too, and the clams were ok. I wish there was a was to keep the seafood warmer, like a dome that rolls back. The selection of sushi was good. There weren't as many veggies or hot Chinese dishes as I've seen elsewhere) like green beans, tofu). Most hot dishes were chicken. Drinks were included & had hot tea! And coffee... The 5 star is for the overall value. The price was surprisingly good! I expected buffet food to be average but everything I ate there was mouth watering. I specifically went there for the crab legs and they had the butter and crab crackers available for convenience. They had a wide variety of Asian food selection. The sushi was fresh. I would say, overall, this is a pretty good buffet. But the quality of food is not quite there. The hibachi cook can not speak English so it was difficult to comment on how I would like my food prepared, so I ended up bland and not very tasty. The restaurant overall is clean. There's a lot of people picking up plates. Pay but I offer, I'll feel that. This place could charge $10 more and provide better quality food. So do I recommend this place if you wanna go on the cheap and just fill your belly together place to go. read more

Tracy CA finally has a decent Asian buffet restaurant Gohan A.Y.C.E Buffet. Good food selections and tasty. However, sashimi can have more variety but only served salmon and tuna. Sushi roll can offer more selections. Dessert not enough variety, tastes bad and needs improvement. Waiters were attentive, constantly removed used plate off table and worked hard. Came here for lunch and was excited to try a new Chinese spot in Tracy. Place was nice. Staff was very friendly. But the food wasn't good. Every item had this same background flavor to it behind the spices and sauces. I've never tasted dishwater. But if I had to put my finger on it. That's the only comparable taste I can imagine. And it all has that same taste. If you notice the taste you can then smell it as you walk around the food area. Very un appealing. And I love Chinese food so this is sad. read more

I have fond childhood memories of the old HomeTown Buffet, so I was really excited to have a new buffet in its place. The service was pretty smily and polite. I grabbed three plates with an assortment to try pretty much everything. I kept trying different dishes and genuinely nothing was satisfying, it all tasted mediocre quality and not fresh. One of the desserts was still in its bulk packaging. The ambience is modern and decently clean, but the layout of both the food and the restaurant is very strange. We were seated in a dead end created by the seating dividers, so it was a long walk to get to the food despite being right next to it. The old couple next to us seemed a bit frustrated by the distance. The lettuce is several feet from the rest of the salad bar. There's macaroni salad, kimchi and seaweed between the jello and the candied bananas. This is a big concern: the raw ingredients for the hibachi grill aren't supposed to be taken directly by diners, but are open and exposed like the rest of the food. When I was grabbing food there was no one working the hibachi grill, so there was nothing stopping someone from accidentally taking raw seafood etc. Sadly we won't be coming back. read more

This place will be a hit or miss depending on your taste buds. One of those places you either hate or love, have to give it a try for yourself to decide. Everything I tried wasn't gross but it also wasn't delicious? A lot of the food seemed to be frozen food that they heated up and added a sauce too. I don't have new photos but u do still recommend that y'all really should give AYCE a visit if ur into International Buffet. I had 3 plates AND chocolate cake! Seafood crab chicken wings fish fried bananananas!!! Veggies beef broccoli and don't forget the soup! Oh and I used my 15% coupon. My local friends My I-5 and I-205 traveling friends stop here! Your very typical all you can eat, I would in reality give this place a 3.5 out of 5. The food is relatively fresh from the few times I've been able to come in, the seating is pretty clean and the customer service is good although I do have to get used to seeing robots handing me my silverware. All in all not a bad place to go, I'd also recommend going anytime before 3:00 PM for pricing. And I've yet to muster up the courage to try the hibachi and the sushi is fairly average. read more

I was very excited to try this buffet with my family. Let me just say, not worth the $100 spent. The seafood was not fresh. Horrible. The only items that were good in my husband's opinion was the hibachi, it was cooked fresh and the sushi made fresh. For the money spent it was not worth it. Never coming here again. I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your restaurant on July 27, 2025. There was a big reservation group around 4:00-4:30 experienced extremely poor service and an upsetting incident that I feel needs to be addressed. Upon our arrival, we were confronted by an employee named Joyce, who insisted that we allow another group of customers to take the reserved table, despite the fact that the reservation had been paid for and confirmed. This was incredibly unprofessional, as the other guests were not part of our reservation, and we had specifically secured that seating in advance. When we declined to give up our seats, Joyce raised her voice and made a scene, which was completely unnecessary and inappropriate in a professional setting. I was not only shocked by her behavior but also by the lack of organization and communication at your restaurant. As a paying customer, I expect better handling of reservations, and I found the overall service to be disorganized and disrespectful. I also feel that Joyce's actions did not reflect the quality of service one would expect from a business that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, and I can confidently say that I will not be returning to your restaurant in the future. Customer service is key to any business, and it's clear that, in this instance, it was severely lacking. I am also concerned that the focus appears to be more on profit than providing a positive experience for your customers. I had a dreadful experience at this Asian buffet. The air conditioning was out of order, and the fans they had on did nothing to alleviate the heat. Despite the unbearable conditions, they still charged full price. My tall 4-year-old, who ate less than a plate's worth of food, was charged the full kids' price. The food was absolutely disgusting. It was either plain, overly salty, or excessively oily, with no flavor to speak of. There were flies on the food, which was incredibly unhygienic and revolting. The hot dishes weren't hot, just lukewarm. Even the cold items and seafood were not properly chilled. The crab tasted extremely fishy, the crawfish was old and chewy, and we didn't even attempt to try the shrimp out of fear of getting sick. We were so concerned about food safety that we avoided the sushi section entirely. We didn't even finish a plate before deciding to leave due to the poor quality and unsanitary conditions. This is by far the worst buffet I have ever been to, and I would never come back. Save your money and find a better place to eat. read more

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent dining experience at your establishment. My family and I visited today, and from the outset, our experience was marred by unacceptable customer service. When I informed the staff that I had a child with me, a staff member dismissively responded that she didn't "see" a child (my daughter, despite being tall for her ten years, is still clearly a child) I guess price is only good for small Asian sized children.. Beyond this profoundly negative interaction, the quality of the food was severely lacking. The dishes were cold and the overall quality was far below what one would expect, particularly considering your establishment's three-star rating. The wait time for clearing our plates was excessively long, further contributing to a generally unpleasant experience that felt more akin to a school cafeteria than a restaurant. This incident has left me feeling incredibly unwelcome and frankly disgusted by the blatant prejudice and subpar service we received. read more

I was disappointed with my experience at this establishment. The staff, particularly the militant greeter, wannabe boss, displayed an unwelcoming attitude that set a negative tone.
