Excellent BBQ!! We ordered the 3-meat sampler (briskets, ribs and chicken), two sides (Mac n cheese and chili) and two medium sized clam chowder. The smoked meats were tender, tasty, and falling off the bones. The two sides (chili and Mac/cheese) were very good. The clam chowder was deliciously creamy and had many pieces of clams. The server John was another treasure! He not only gave us outstanding service but also provided tips on where to fish for salmon and trout along the Rouge River, and good hiking trails at Cape Sebastian. We did drive around the Rouge River after lunch and enjoyed the beautiful scenery; we will try fishing on our next visit. The restaurant was very dog friendly, server John even gave our shiba some snacks (trimmings from the BBQ). Overall, the four of us and our shiba had an excellent experience at the Gold Beach BBQ. My wife and I are from California and we both agree this is the best BBQ restaurant we have eaten at. In 3 days I was in Gold Beach on Vacation my wife and I eaten there all 3 days. I think I tried the hole menu. Even on my last day we got some sandwiches for the ride home. The meat and side dishes to die for and the cheesecake and bread pudding is a must to have. Delicious!!! We visited twice during our stay in Gold Beach. We had the three and five meat platters. Our favorites were pulled pork and brisket, though you should try them all. We were coming through town on our way to Agness. We couldn't find a Subway and decided to stop real quick here to pick up a sandwich. It was our LUCKY DAY. We ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with pepper Jack cheese. It came with their BBQ sauce. It was hands down one of the BEST sandwiches we have ever had!!!! The place was super clean. The staff was attentive and extremely friendly and the had a table honoring our POW's and Veterans. This place is absolutely delicious. I had the half chicken and my wife had the brisket. I'm not sure if they make their own sauce, but the pairing is perfect with either chicken or beef. This was by far the best BBQ I've had. The chef salad with bacon and chicken and the corn muffin was absolutely delicious. I had a piece of the candied bacon cheesecake and OH MY WORD. Lots of choices for you; sandwiches, burgers, the Dirty fries sounded amazing but they do bathe in the same frier as the poppers if that a concern. We were on a trip down to Cali and when we were heading back home it was a no-brainer to plan our day so that we would hit Gold Beach around dinner so we could go back!!!
