Pulled in when saw Goldberg's reliable name. Though independently/family owned and not really a chain, everything out here is Goldberg's! North & South Forks there are Goldberg's for bagels. Shows a few angry ratings.. (if a staff person is ever rude, call the store and leave a message for the owner.. let them know.. no owner wants someone ruining their biz) but does this look like a 2 or 3 star bagel? A picture says a thousand words... Yum! Tip: when on the east end some towns are more limited off season etc.. so stick to the basics and check hours etc. Excellent bagel!

Loveddddd their bagels! We came in the morning for bagels to grab-n-go. I got the everything bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon and my hubby got their veggie cream cheese bagel - both were outstanding! Quick service and we enjoyed them while driving around!

Spicy hobo with bacon on an everything bagel

BEST. BAGELS. EVER. This was our first time ever having Goldberg's. We got it twice while visiting New York! We had the spicy hobo and an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It's sometimes difficult to find a bagel shop with good bagels and good ingredients inside the sandwich. This place didn't choose between one or the other. Fresh, quality ingredients inside of amazing bagels. We plan to always stop for Goldberg's while on road trips now!

I've had bagels from here on numerous occasions, but I have never gone into the shop myself. The bagels themselves are good; they are flavorful and a good texture. However, when they've put sandwiches together for me, I haven't liked them that much. I've also heard from my family who picks up the bagels from the shop that the store is absolutely chaotic and disorganized. This past Saturday morning, it took my friend 45 minutes to get our order because of how hectic it is. If you can manage to get bagels from here without going into the shop, it would be worth it. But I personally don't think it's worth going through all of the chaos of in store ordering.

They managed to get every single bagel sandwich in my order wrong. EACH one was missing one item.

Overpriced. Only in the Hamptons would people put up with over priced, horrible bagels and poor service.

It's my favorite, it's been hard to find in restaurants. My husband started with the shrimp tempura roll and I had a rainbow roll, I made sure to tell them not to put shrimp due to my allergy. After that our appetites grew so I ordered edamame and a tuna Hama roll. The tuna Hama looks very plain but it has a nice kick to it, I enjoyed it very much. My husband also ordered a dragon roll and a tiger roll. The hot lemon ginger honey tea was super delicious and just what I needed to finish my evening. The wet closet was very clean and well kept.

We started with the crunch rice tuna (crispy rice). The rice was a bit chewy and hard to eat. Rolls: Torched salmon: I love torched rolls, and their torched salmon roll lived up to my expectation. Next time, however, I would ask for it without the chili threads because it made the roll a bit hard to eat and was stringy. Tiger Roll: This roll was light, and very flavorful. It comes wrapped in a green soy paper instead of rice. Tuna Avocado: You can't go wrong with this classic. Overall, the service was good and the staff were friendly. However, for good sushi, I've definitely had better places.

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi
