Apparently Goldbergs is the hot spot in Sag Harbor. So popular they opened 2 locations. As a Long Island native turned brooklyn girl the taste of this egg sandwich fell terribly flat and bland. Nothing remarkable, not something I would wait in line for by any means. The bread taste is reminiscent of something packaged up at 7 Eleven. Service is wonderful, ambiance deli typical. Taking your egg sandwich croissant for a beach ride might elevate your experience :) read more

Shocked by the bad reviews as my friends and I loved the bagels here and the line was out the door! We stopped by for a quick lunch - I got the spicy hobo on an everything bagel while my friends got the BEC and scallion cream cheese bagel. The prices were MINDBLOWING-ly good considering we were expecting everything in the hamptons to be extremely expensive (pretty sure my sandwich was around ~$10?). My sandwich tasted great and loved the hashbrown in the middle as well which added a nice crunch. I had opted for no pepper jack so wish that i had subed it with one of the cream cheeses, not really realizing that it doesn't just come with a spread. My friend absolutely loved her BEC and the fluffiness of the bagel and would not stop raving about it! And the scallion cream cheese bagel although simple was quite delicious as well. Overall, would love to swing back again if I'm in the area or check out one of their other locations! read more

Extra bacon aside, This isn't an acceptable amount for a normal bacon egg and cheese. 1slice on one side and 0 on the other. Ridiculous! especially considering they charged extra for the request. Everyone loves Goldberg's bagels fluffy and delish....... Also there are gluten free options which was great for one of my family members.

I drove through Greenport this morning and noticed Goldbergs Bagel shop where I enjoyed the best bagel I've eaten in years. H& H good. It was so good that 4 hours later, i was in Sag Harbor and found another Goldbergs. I had a chicken sandwich which was really delicious. The problem I had was the noise made by the staff; someone was stocking the beverage cooler, feet from my table glass clanking, crates banging around . Someone else was sweeping the floor (imagine the dust and dirt this put into the air) again, feet from where i was sitting. Garbage was being collected by the bags. I'm sure the staff was eager to close but it was really annoying (and loud). Great bagels but not a very peaceful lunch guests were still coming in as they were cleaning up around me. Too bad, The bagels were terrific. read more

Worst Goldberg's location. Staff is unsanitary. No gloves. No masks. Wouldn't care about the masked except the staff is speaking to Customers while leaning over the bagels!! Disgusting! Who wants to eat the bagels that the staff was spitting while speaking over? They can't handle the crowd. No organization in their order and paying process. While we are huge fans of Goldberg's (other NY and NJ locations), this one is terrible. Come on Goldberg's Sag Harbor! You can do so much better! I'm surprised to find such negative reviews as I've only experienced professional service and good product. I prefer this location to other Goldberg locations. I've waited forever in Southampton! Goldbergs stayed open and served during the pandemic. At the height of covid, waiting in line, masked, I think we all were tense and edgy. Not just the best bagels in the Hamptons, among the best period. Way better than even some highly regarded places like Zabar's in NYC. Excellent texture and a wide range of topping options. Some of the negative comments have a point: it's a little expensive for what it is (welcome to the Hamptons) and it gets crazy busy sometimes, resulting in long wait times. But it is a highly manual process so each order takes a couple minutes under any circumstances. So the staff gets a little harried too. But they've been friendly enough and reasonably efficient in my experience. And I generally avoid peak times like 9:30am on a summer Sunday. read more

Be prepared to wait I came in for a bagel with butter. Nothing too complicated. I waited for 15 minutes, with at most 15 people in the store, at one time going down to 4. It took me getting pretty upset for them to make it, and once they did it took less than a minute. I'm very disappointed because the food is good, but the wait times are pretty ridiculous read more

Maybe when the new location opens up at the old Ed's lobster bar things will improve but it shouldn't take me 40 minutes to get 6 bagels in a bag. All smushed. Great bagels. Horrible staff and service!!!! Called ahead and gave order and they told me there was no sandwich called the Hampton bays. So I ordered something else similar. When I arrived for pick up, there was the Hampton Bays sandwich listed behind the cashier who rolled her eyes at me when I told her I tried to order it by name on the phone. They also made my east hampton sandwich with pastrami when I said turkey only please. So overpriced. Staff needs full replacement. I got a Powerhouse wrap which on the website menu is stated to have egg whites, turkey, lettuce, tomato and hot sauce in a wrap. What I received was just egg whites, turkey and american cheese which I didn't want. It was disgusting and very over priced, not to mention the over half hour wait we had for 3 sandwiches and watched as other people who walked in after got their food before us.
