Food was good and they had a lot of choices, but the price was a bit too high for cafeteria style food.The mashed potatoes were excellent when you can get some, as the tray seemed always empty with the line waiting for just the mashed potatoes. Been here many times, and there's never been a time where I've just been completely disappointed. A couple small disappointments here and there, but nothing major. One small one that's happened more than once though: macaroni and potato salad being room temp and not cold. Not wanting to get food poisoning, I just stopped getting it. But waitstaff is always nice and attentive, and the dinner rolls are absolutely amazing when the mashed potatoes are on it :) read more

Food was okay at best and extremely full of msg. 3 of us went in very hungry, 2 of us had a little meat on our first plate and the other had salad. The 2 of us that had meat were so full after the first plate that it felt like we just ate thanksgiving dinner. The person with salad felt fine until having meat, then felt very full. One has a sensitivity to msg and started feeling sick. Unbelievable that it's $20 a person with drinks and they have to use that. read more

We like this place although we do call it "the Trough". They really do a good job. Prime rib on Saturday night is good. Steaks are worth a try. Every other try is good. Tonite I tried big shrimp (?). Very good Awesome Pot Roast is Awesome!! Good job. Good price. Clean enough Best of show? Chocolate fudge is the best. Chocolate Shell on mint chocolate chip ice cream a close second. I eat here and still maintain a BMI of 18.5. They must be doing something right!! read more

Shea was my waitress on Valentine's Day she was energetic, helpful, full of smiles and gave exceptional service. Food was fantastic and the prime rib, dinner rolls and desserts we amazing.... Very dissapointed! Have been coming here for 8 years never a problem! But on this day for breakfast! I approached the omelet station there was one lady in front of me I stood there and waited for him to finish with her! When he was done with her I waited while he wiped out every dish he took his time folded the towel he looked at me by this time another man got in line he looked at him and asked him what can I do for you I said hey I've been here he said no he was here first! I said I was behind the lady no one else was here he turned and looked at the man and told him I'm so sorry and he looked at me right in my face and hatefully said no problem here! And asked what do you want! I Replied "I don't want s*** from you" he said excuse me so I repeated it he looks at the other man and says I'll have to pray for him I told him not to pray for me he didn't look like he was the praying type and that he was still full of s*** he kept right on telling the other customers I fixed my plate with what was on the line and started my breakfast When the manager walked by him he pointed at me and said that I cussed him and he did not appreciate it so I told the manager he was an a****** and I didn't care what he says believe me after 8 years I will never be there for breakfast again never this man is rude condescending and just downright hateful I've heard him insult other people before! But at the end of the day I see why he can't get another job! Flip them eggs rude old man! Other than breakfast I will still go for lunch and dinner it's one of my favorite places the servers and management are always so friendly! And the food is great! read more

A good restaurant if you consider a part of a metal grill brush in the salsa a good experience. The owner took absolutely no action to correct neither this nor to ensure that the eggs were FULLY COOKED before being served. Because of this, I could not stop vomiting, and later that day went to the ER in a paralyzed-like state. Undercooked eggs, nearly having my throat sliced from the inside, and mediocre food...do not go here if you don't want to risk this happening to you!!! read more

When you don't have time to cook and are hungry, this place fills the bill. You can't go too wrong with pot roast or fried chicken. Most of us love that. The salads are there for you to create your own. I just can't honestly complain. Sure once in awhile I may want to eat at a fancy restaurant, but when out shopping 50 miles out... My husband and I ate breakfast early Sunday morning in Prescott AZ. I have never been so insuled or humiliated in a restaraurant. The sausage was ice cold,we let them know. The girl that served us walked right by us without checking for drinks,she had only one other table. The fellow who was supposed to man the egg,waffle station was at the other end chatting with our server and when my husband went to station he was ignored,so I had to get his attention and then my husband went back.We have eaten here often and could not believe the bad service. I went up to the front to speak managment and had to wait til she was done with personal chatting with her cashiers. I told her what had happened,she did not say sorry,what can we do,she just snapped do you want your money back? She caught me off guard and I said yes. She returned the money we were in the middle of our food so we stayed to finish what was on our plates. We asked server for drinks and she said her manager told her to quit giving us drinks or clearing plates. When I asked the manager she said we should have left our food and left the restaurant. The money back was her solution. By the way we ate there often and to top it off we are seniors with access to 300 other seniors where we live. That manager needs to be fired now!!! I find it overpriced for what you get, other than if you are a senior and can get there by no later than 4:00 PM. No senior discount any other time. Many employees do not speak very good English so it is difficult to get them to understand what you are trying to ask for. Managers at night don't seem to check the condition of the food, so often it's been picked over so much that it is very unappetizing. Pot Roast is great, that is "if" there is any left, other than only potatoes, carrots and celery. There has not been any vegetarian soup for some time now; always chili and some sort of chicken soup or clam chowder. Kids are running around and often stick their fingers into the food. People working there start putting food away and cleaning up way too early, while customers are still trying to eat. Fried chicken is cut up in some kind of weird way so that it is hard to tell what the pieces are. Small pieces of steak are often either fried to a crisp or still raw. We need a Sweet Tomatoes Buffet in this town! read more
