The French onion soup was actually a highlight -- the crunchy bread in it was a nice touch and gave it good texture. Where it fell short for me was the pasta. That might be partly on me for ordering it at a spot that isn't really an Italian restaurant, but still -- the sauce just wasn't good. The short rib itself was fine, but the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can, which killed the dish. Overall, it feels like they're trying to position themselves as a higher-end restaurant based on pricing and location, but to pull that off, the food -- especially the ingredients and execution -- needs to be at a higher level.

The staff kept making sure that if we needed anything they would accommodate. Their idea for drink refills. Their idea for to go boxes and they even tried to give us to go cups for our drinks. This is not a fancy suit and tie place but the people and food was excellent and the prices were as expected. Would I recommend this place? Only if you are looking for a nice calm place to have good food brought to you by friendly staff. If that's what you seek. Go here. If not, see a shrink.
