Went on a Friday evening around 6/6:30, waited probably 15 mins maybe a little longer to get seated. The place was packed and there were 3 parties ahead of us. Didn't feel too long bc the menus are on the door so it gave us time to figure out what we wanted. The selection is fantastic, there is a ton to choose from. The area was very clean despite being packed with people. The restrooms were also clean and well kept. Now the food - the food was DELICIOUS. I have tried a handful of the thai places and honestly I haven't had as great of an all around experience as we did here. The tofu was perfectly soft and crispy, the pad thai was a good balance sweet and savory. The plate was also huge!! I have so much leftovers. We split the green beans which was a nice portion for the 3 of us, and beware there is a good kick to the spicy ones! My friends got the chili basal and rad nah which they mentioned it was also very tasty. We all agreed we definitely need to return to try another dish as well! I also want to that our server was really great at recommending menu options. We also had a fish allergy in our group which they were accommodating with removing the fish sauce. They also accidentally made the green beans with the sauce as well but she came running out (literally) when she realized it was made with that (probably barely 30 seconds time had lapsed). Another nearby thai place was not like that and much less helpful about the allergy in our group. So overall we were very happy at the service, food, and experience. Crispy Fried Chicken (lunch special)- we chose green salad which is pretty standard with sesame dressing, there was a hint of ginger which I personally loved. The chicken was definitely crispy, juicy and flavorful; batter was light and airy. The rice was seasoned well and a good texture. Would come back for this dish again. We wanted to get some Thai food and saw that this place has good reviews. We ordered the Pad Thai ($16) and Pad See You ($16). They definitely give you a lot of food. We had enough left over to make a second meal for both of us the next day. I really liked both plates. I usually go for pad see ew when I go to Thai places but the pad thai here is also really good! I was looking around and a lot of people also got the chicken satay and papaya salad, so maybe I'll try those out next time too. I would say that the appetizers seem a bit pricey considering they're about the same price as the main dishes, which kind of defeats the purpose of being an appetizer. A lot of items looked good on the menu though and I wish I could try them all. I do see that they also have a lunch menu on the weekdays, so hopefully if I make it in time I'll be able to try some more items from their menu through that. read more

I Just found my new go to Thai spot and I'm kind of obsessed. It's a pretty big space right across from Kopan, but still feels warm and welcoming. We ordered a bunch to share such as the chicken curry, drunken noodles with beef, pad Thai with shrimp, and the crispy garlic wings (so good). And the strawberry lychee soda? Super refreshing and honestly a must. The vibe is cute and modern, service was attentive, and everything is reasonably priced. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. I like how tbe lunch special comes with a drink and a side. The soul boat noodle was on the sweeter side and the meat kinda tasted like beef jerky. Couldve been boiling for too long. But its okay. I liked the meat or fish balls that it came with though. It was soft and went well with the sweet broth. For to go orders, there is a divider so that the noodles wont get soggy from the soup, which is always nice for noodle soups. Their thai tea was 80% milk so i felt like i was drinking iced milk. I got the curry croquette and its pretty good. Small but it might be because it was part of the lunch special. They also almost forgot my drink until i opened the bag and it was missing. First bite at the Crab Fried Rice was pretty amazing! Though, missing a squeeze of lime, this place gives you seafood sauce instead. The sauce itself is very tasty and it made a big difference to the fried rice overall. Pad Thai was way too sour and way too wet. I also much prefer when chives are used for pad thai like an authentic Thai dish, rather than green onions. Their pad thai came with green onions. To be continued... just near our air bnb and we were tired from our all day excursion at Universal Studios. My go to "pad kee mao", can never go wrong with it. This was unfortunately the worst Thai restaurant I been to because not only was the food awful but so was the service! This is a small Thai spot located in a busy plaza so parking can be difficult especially on the weekends. They're open daily 11am-3pm & 4pm-9pm (Except Sat - 11am-3pm & 5pm-9pm) There is lunch special on weekdays 11am-3pm and it comes with a dish, side, soup, and drink for $15.95! I went on New Year's Eve and that was considered a "holiday" so unfortunately, there was no lunch special. Menu had a good variety of dishes and most of the dishes were less than $20. Inside was small with not too much seating. Service was not welcoming, attentive, or friendly. It wasn't even busy when I arrived and I was not greeted by the staff so I just took a seat on a table of my choice. Waited a few minutes before finally being acknowledged and given a menu. I had a hard time deciding what to order and I didn't appreciate being asked every 5 minutes by the staff if I was ready yet. I think she must have asked me at least 3+ times and it wasn't even busy yet. The Pad Thai ($16) tasted so terrible and definitely didn't taste authentic. It didn't have any pan fried taste and the sauce was so sour/tangy that it tasted like lemon noodles. It honestly tasted like frozen/microwaved food and it was unfortunately one of the worst Pad Thai I've ever had so this was 3/10. The Yellow Curry ($15) didn't come with rice or protein so I had to add +$1 for chicken and +$2.75 for jasmine rice. This was the worst curry I have ever had. It was so watery that it seemed more like a watered down soup than curry. It was so bland and hardly had any ingredients - potatoes, carrots, onions, and chicken. The chicken seemed overcooked and flavorless. This dish was 3/10 When it came to paying for the bill, I waited at least 10+ minutes and was never paid attention to. The server walked past my table several times and every time I tried to make eye contact with her, she would ignore me. I got so frustrated that I went up to the cashier and just gave her the money. She got agitated with me and told me to wait. I understand it was busy and they were understaffed but honestly, the service was poor even before they got busy. This is one of the few spots in the SGV that has khao soi. When they first opened I was dying it try it since they had this dish. They took over the old Ten Rens location and has ample parking. The servers were attentive each of my visits and would check up on us frequently. The khảo sôi was flavorful and noodles had a nice chew to it. I usually get it with crispy chicken added and the crispy chicken soaks up the sauce. I feel like their noodle soup dish's excel here over their pan fried dishes but you can't go wrong ordering anything here. Great for lunch, dinner or even togo. Very cute interior with an animated street food decorating the walls. The staff is always friendly. The menu has a wide selection of food and they are very helpful in letting you know if you have any dietary restrictions, the company I was with does not eat fish sauce so we got the curry and noodles without fish sauce. Decor is Thai influenced, modern, and the eatery filled up quickly just after opening - which is 11:00 am. Both waitresses were friendly and accommodating. I chose the crispy pork lunch with asian broccoli which came with my choices of Thai salad, soup and Thai ice tea. Everything was yummy. I was so impressed I returned within a week on a holiday. This review is just for the takeout I had, which was their pad see ew. I decided to try this place on a Wednesday afternoon, so I ordered it to go to eat at work. The wait time to pickup was accurate. The pad see ew with beef was just ok though, I felt like while the flavor was decent, the quality of the dish was a little lower than at the other places that I have tried like Thai Paradise and Chef G within the area. The reason being was that some of the beef pieces was tough in texture, as I'm used to the beef usually being tender. Also there was a little bit of noodle that didn't seem to soak enough of the sauces or didn't get any of the sauce, so it a bit of a miss there. I think the quality on this dish just missed the mark with me unfortunately. I think due to the competition in the area, I wouldn't really feel like the need to come back here unfortunately. I prefer Thai Paradise or Chef G more than Bangkok Soul as of now when it comes to pad see ew at the very least. read more

We ordered a little bit of everything to really get the full Thai experience--pad Thai, pad kra pow, pad see ew beef, plus the soups. The real standouts for me were the soups. The tom kha chicken was delish--creamy, comforting, and full of flavor. The tom yum soup was also super tasty with just the right kick. Easily 8/10 for the soups The noodle and rice dishes were solid and satisfying--nothing over the top, but they definitely hit the spot. I'd give the overall dishes a 7/10, which still makes this a fun place to go when you're craving Thai. Saw that this new thai place opened nearby and came on Saturday for lunch to check it out. We ordered the half and half chicken rice plate, the crab fried rice, pineapple fried rice, pad see ew tofu, mango sticky rice and a thai tea. Everything looked appetizing when it came out but the crab fried rice looked nothing like the photo that the business owner uploaded 5 months ago on yelp. It was a let down and for $20+ there was no crab to be seen so we asked where it could be in the dish and they informed us the chef embeds it into the egg on top of the rice and everything else is just plain. I'm used to crab fried rice where you actually see or taste the crab and it was not advertised correctly here so we exchanged it for the pineapple beef fried rice which was alot more flavorful. Everything else just okay as well and I think we would prefer to go to the original Thai restaurants in 626 over this new place. We did enjoy the half and half but none of the dishes hit home. The best part was probably our thai tea and sticky rice but you cant really mess that up. Decided to hop on by for their lunch special as we were in the area doing some shopping. The spot used to be Tenrens back in the day and I noticed that the decor still retained some of the screens from that time. For the lunch rush we were immediately seated to the back corner and given their lunch special and regular menus to peruse. For $15.95, the options included an appetizer, entree, daikon radish soup and choice of drink, what a price in this economy! My wife ordered their braised pork dish which included pickled veggies, half of a boiled egg, with ginger rice and fried dumplings along with a chrysanthemum tea. The braised pork was very soft and tender which was paired nicely with the pickled veggies which cut into the fat. Really loved the aromatics of the dish. I ordered the boat noodles with a side of curry croquette. Very nice flavor, just wished they used thin rice string noodles instead of flat but just a personal preference. Thai tea was great! Service was quick especially for a busy afternoon weekend lunch. Portions were extremely generous for their lunch special, which was $2 extra for the specific entrees we ordered.
