We LOVE Good Guy Plumbing! We've had nothing but positive experiences the first time we used you all (2+ years ago...we loved Ernie!) and also this past week with Danny. Danny was very communicative, clearly and calmly showed me/explained to me what the issues he found were, and followed through with everything he said he would. [Previous review-edited] I used Good Guy last year Oct. 2021 and my clogged was cleared very nicely by JJ. However, they have no record of this visit and apparently do not know who JJ is. But having had success with the one call after another plumber failed to clear the clog in the sink line last year, I had them come this year when the sink stopped draining again. Unfortunately, I had to leave and they were not able to get the line cleared and the sink remained clogged when they left. It turns out that my reverse osmosis unit had caused lime buildup inside the pipe which is why the regular drain cleaners were not working nor was the snake, their's or mine. I'm not sure the pressure hose would have worked any better to remove the lime. So I finally got a gallon of vinegar and poured that down the drain and used my own snake in the pipe to move the vinegar down the water column then I took the snake out. The drain started to work a little but then stopped up again. So I put my 25' snake in again and hit a hard spot. I hit on it using the snake as a plunger and when it broke thru the water FINALLY drained properly. I now have a clear drain. I could have saved myself the $200 for poor service if I had figured out the lime thing a lot sooner. I will chock this up to a $200 lesson what only needed a gallon jug of vinegar at $3.30. read more

I called Good Guy Plumbing with an urgent need with a backed up main line and they helped me get quick service. My initial appointment was a couple of days out, but I began to have a spill thanks to my kids, so Tami worked me into their busy schedule. JJ & Hector came out to help me with the blockage and it was due to roots at 93 feet from the entry point. These guys were fantastic and worked hard to solve a rather complicated problem. We ended up hydro-jetting the line from the roof and the video showed a clean line. I wouldn't hesitate to call them back. I liked that they didn't try to sell me extra stuff I didn't need. These guys were Fast and Efficient. There was blockage in my kitchen drain line. My long time plumber retired so I was forced to try someone new. The first plumber I called said that he could not clear the line after snaking it, and that the line "had" to be replaced including a new clean out valve. The quote was $5,975. Junior, from Good Guys Plumbing, was able to clear it using a HydroJet. He was courteous, knowledgable and very thorough. He cleared the line and then went backed and ran another snake through just to make sure the line was completely clear. The cost was a little more that 1/10 the price of the first quote. Looks like I found a great new plumber! Oh, and Junior was running a little late (30 minutes) and the office made a point of promptly letting me know. We called around to see if a plumbing company can install an In-wall-water-bottle dispenser and most couldn't. If they could, they quoted me some crazy amount or didn't get back in a timely manner. Robert was the REAL DEAL. He responded promptly and was super personable. He came out when our dispenser arrived to see where we can put it and when he left within hours we received a reasonable quote via email. Within a few days his team (Ernie and another worker I forgot his name) came and installed the system. They were super friendly and so fun to work with. Prices are just outrageous! They originally quoted me $396 to replace the wax seal on my toilet. Then they came back and said the flange needed to be replaced and now the price was $789 !! The flange is a $15 part. It is just placed in the drain pipe and secured with 4 screws. That's it. And for that they wanted another $400. After a call back to the office they brought the price down to $700. At that point I was stuck as they had it pulled apart and I agreed to the initial work. They were done is less than an hour. I called the office talked to the manager. He confirmed that is their standard pricing and I am paying for their efficiency and expertise. What BS. It is a flange secured with 4 screws. Robert (the Owner) quoted me a competitive price (I quoted 3 other local companies as a comparison) and based on Robert's consistent communication throughout the process (scheduling, my questions regarding the specifics, etc.), I decided to go with his company. Had a few unrelated clogged drains recently and ended up calling on Good Guy Plumbing twice. What I especially appreciate about them is how they've incorporated tech into the business. I got a text verifying that someone was coming, and a personal profile of my address, the issue, etc. Billing is handled online or through square. I appreciate that convenience. Also, I appreciated the skill and the thoughtfulness of the plumbers who came by both times. I thought they were courteous, hard working and efficient. I personally don't have a sense of whether the rates they charge are cheap or expensive for plumbing, but I was so impressed with the level of service the first time (esp compared to other companies that can be rude, flaky, or give you the sense that they're making things up on the spot) that I couldn't fathom calling anyone else when the second issue came up. read more

I had a pipe rupture in my new home last week, and I called Good Guy in a panic. It was quite an alarming situation for me as I could not locate the leak or the shut-off. Luckily, Adamu came in less than an hour, and was able to quickly locate the the leak -- inside an interior wall with no access. He cut into the wall in a very conscientious way to preserve trim for future repairs. He then quickly repaired the line and left me up and running.
