Surprised this spot doesn't have the amount of amazing reviews it deserves! Their turkey pesto panini with a side of veggies is SO delicious, cool art inside, friendly staff, and I can get my oat milk latte in less than half the time as when I have to wait at the coffee shop across the street. No frills here, folks - just a quick little coffee shop in Fort Mason with an assortment of premade quiches and sweets. It's a convenient little spot if you're already in Fort Mason, but there isn't anything so special that can't be found elsewhere. I wouldn't go out of my way to frequent Goody, but I wouldn't avoid it either. read more

I absolutely love it. My gf took me here for ..... one Sunday afternoon late lunch. Loved the 7 bucks Turkey Panini, come with lovely pickled vegetables. And great coffee. It's a challenge to get an employee to face you so you can request some food or drink. Once you do, there is zero communication from staffers during the lengthy period it takes to receive your food. Like, 'cause you might want to know...what's going on? Where is it? They're chattin' with each other, eating a scone, chewing the cud, cudding the chew...and then there's you, standing there on the periphery... hey you...out there in the cold getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me? hey you...standing in the aisles with itchy feet and fading smiles, can you Anyway. There's plastic cups of yogurt and granola. The yogurt is the densest coagulation of milk I've ever seen...I was sitting there thinking...I could caulk my tub with this. It's topped with a soft clump of matted oats that has absorbed all the liquid from the yogurt. A similar caulk/oats combo is used to induce choking in Heimlich maneuver classes (room 260, Building C). The quiche is topped with a thin layer of spinach and cheese, the rest is just baked egg and milk. Between the quiche and the yogurt-we got your bland diet down. Yeah, your doctor called. Warning: any food item you want heated will take about 20 minutes. They've got a couple hens that will sit on your lunch, and y'know, that's not quick, those birds can't compete with those microwave ovens. money for nothin' read more

I've loved Goody for years, even when it used to be called Readers Cafe. The staff is nice and friendly, and efficient considering how many people pass through there on a given day. The crowds ebb and flow and it makes for an interesting spot for people watching. Depending on the events going on in Fort Mason, you could be surrounded by runners, crafters, tech folks, or parents picking up kids from music classes and birthday parties. Good selections of drinks and snacks, though if there are a lot of customers they do sometimes sell out of sandwiches early. I recommend the breakfast burritos, the sandwiches and the soft pretzels when they have them. The mochas and lattes are delicious, too. My group has been meeting here on Saturdays in November for years, and the baristas are generous to us and let us hang out as long as we need to. The cafe is connected to the library bookstore, so you can grab a good read to peruse while enjoying your Mexican mocha or your latte. I often like to just hang out at the cafe, do some book browsing, and then walk back to take a look at the water. read more

I absolutely love this cafe. They have great tasting coffee in between $3-$4 and an assortment of snacks that are both healthy and not healthy. (parfaits, fruit, eggs, croissants, pastries, and sandwiches) I always get the cafe mocha because its delicious! They also have a small selection of paninis that are about $7. I came all the way across town for the 7 wonder bar. It's fantastic! I literally craved that thing after a field trip w/ little one. They made me a pretty good vanilla latte as well. It wasn't the same the time around but worth the trip. read more

first off... walked in girl with buzzed hair had no desire to even greet me. waiting in line for about 20 min when only 4 people were in front of me ridiculous! didn't even say thank you for waiting. it's called customer service!! is it that difficult? while she was taking her sweet time waiting for "burritos" to heat up she could of started my order. i usually like this place but that was a horrible experience and i will not be returning. also if you're requiring "masks" you should kindly provide them. go to equator better food/coffee and people. read more

I like Goody Cafe! It has great coffee and pretty good food in my opinion. I sometimes think the service is lacking, they definitely run with that inconvenienced hipster vibe a lot of the time. I really prefer their iced coffee to their neighbor, Equator. They also have ample seating, which is great for sitting to get some work done! read more

This is a good place for morning hikers around Fort Mason to drop by for a hot beverage and a snack. Add to this the advantage that this cafe is right by the Book Bay; one can spend hours in this space. The almond croissant here is excellent- buttery almost to a fault. I love the fact that they have cold vegan hummus wraps and a breakfast bean Burrito (with eggs) for vegetarians. The freshly baked raisin bread was very tasty. Drop by the Book Bay next door for browsing discounted books as well. This place is reasonably priced and they also accept cards. Courteous service. I would love to return! read more

I stopped by Goody Cafe last weekend and had a delicious cappuccino and scone. The baked goods are made in-house and looked so delicious. I got cheesecake and quiche to go. Both were very yummy. I don't typically like quiche, but this one had a really nice creamy custard texture with a beautiful crust. I would also love to try the frittata next time. Absolutely love this little cafe/bookstore at Fort Mason Center! On days that I don't have time to pack a lunch, the paninis at Goody Cafe step in. My favorite is the turkey pesto provolone served with tasty giardiniera (yummy pickled veggies). I never met a pickle I didn't like. Bonus, they have Reed's Ginger Brew for those of us who can't handle caffeine after 12pm. Yummo. read more

Nothing good-y about this cafe. The barista is rude and makes its very obvious to let you know based on his actions. I ordered my drink, he acknowledged my order, I walked away to take a call as his music was loud which he turned up as another patron was listening to news on his cell phone. I walked back in to get my order. He didn't not make it, simply saying I walked away and didn't pay for it so he didn't make it. read more

The setting is first rate, adjacent to Friends of the San Francisco Library Book Bay; which is how I know Goody Cafe...the Book Bay well that very special one cannot walk away empty handed. Coffee very good, service excellent, prices fair, atmosphere relaxed and one of a kind. The almond milk has hand drawn signage with the images of an almond and the late great Harvey Milk.... a very good likeness. Be sure to stop in at the Italian- American Museum across the hall to see Beniamino Bufano sculpture...His works are iconic, one at the Harvey Milk Library and one at UCSF parnassuss.................back to the cafe... to me it is all a shared experience. A selection of distinctive sweets and nourishment (haven't had any yet looks good) I usually get coffee to go but there was a cool breeze there today so I had one cup there with some wifi then another to go. read more

It's a cool little spot right in fort mason. The cafe is connected to the little bookstore which gives it a nice relaxing feel. The drinks on the other hand were not good. We got a latte and a chai latte which both came lukewarm. If the drinks were better I would definitely come back because of the cool vibe of the place. read more

I love this spot - the quinoa salad is great if they warm it up slightly and you add a side salad of marinated veggies and a hard boiled egg. But every time I come here, it's either closed (who closes a cafe at 3 pm while the adjacent book store and other businesses around are still open?) or the customer service is super unfriendly with a sort of "I hate to be here - don't bother me" attitude.
