My family and I came in to celebrate our sons birthday. It's a cool experience for the kids to be able to have the characters come up and engage with them and take pictures as they are eating. Overall for the price and the food it was not worth it. It's buffet style and you'd assume they have more options but it's actually fairly small. At breakfast they serve breakfast options, as well as lunch, dinner and dessert options. First of all food was like a 2 star. But all the characters interacting with my little one makes this place a 4 star. I love how her eyes light up and the service was so great. Disney is really a place where everyone can be a kid again. The dessert was pretty good though! So many core Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Dale came by our table 2-3 times each to interact and pose for pix with my kids while we gobbled up food from the yummy buffet for dinner. We made our reservation for 5 people just a couple hours beforehand on the Disneyland app and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. I wasn't expecting much in terms of food quality, but I was very impressed with their spread and excellent service. They had food for the whole family like mac and cheese, regular and dessert pizza, "worms in dirt", pasta, salad, chicken several ways, filet mignon, salmon, more fish, ice cream, and pastries. First I must add a disclaimer that we were two Disney loving adults and had no children in our party so that may affect the review. Goofy's was one of the few Disney restaurants that I haven't been to so it was his turn. The check in process (for all Disney restaurants in recent years) is stupid. Once you are called in you get to take a cute picture with Chef Goofy. You are than sat and can get food as you wish. Service is only really for drinks. The buffet is 100% geared to children, there are some strange items like smores pizza. Pretty much everything was bland and boring so if you are a picky eater (or a kid) you will be fine. Nothing was gross, just blah. The characters come and take pictures with you while you eat so that part is cute and worth the experience. Goofy's was a one and done for me. read more

The manager told me I wouldn't be able to use my gift card to pay for my party and I was informed before being seated that the card reader was down. He slammed the empty plates on the table and said he will try to process my card and came back 2 mins later and said " oh, it went through" he is an unprofessional liar. Some of the food was very good, but most of it was just mediocre, and a few items were downright bad (the mac n cheese was inedible). We have eaten at Minnie's Breakfast many times, and at least 4 or 5 characters come by our table to visit and take photos. At Goofy's Kitchen, we only had two characters. I honestly felt like it would be just somewhere to get a quick bite before the day and an experience for the kiddos with all the characters. But don't prejudge until you try anything. Came here for breakfast with my wife we had to wait for a little bit to get seated for our first trip to Disneyland but when we did we really enjoyed this place. We visited here during our trip to Disneyland. My husband made a reservation as far in advance as possible (30 days?). We chose 10am. Upon check in, they asked about allergies. Then we were instructed to wait to take pictures with Goofie (part of the Genie+). It took them a very long time to seat us after we were checked in and took the pictures. The place was very busy. Disney Characters come out every 20min and dance around the tables. We were sitting on the side and the characters didn't even come close to us so I went and talked to the seating host to make sure the characters would pass by our table which they did the second time around and subsequently. Our kids really enjoyed interacting with the characters. The food: I felt the food was appropriate to the price taking into account the interaction with the characters. The food was not worth the $50 but you're paying for the experience. There is a lot of sweets and unhealthy food which our kids enjoyed. They have an omelette station and also warm food like fried chicken, mac'n'cheese and other typically American dishes. I really enjoyed the fresh berries and the chia seed pudding. They also have soy milk available upon request if you don't eat dairy. They have various salads but most had some sort of cheese or a lot of dressing on them. The price: they charge $50 for adult and kids over 10 years old. I found that interesting they included 20% gratuity in the bill and then asked for another tip. We ended up tipping about 25% since it appeared a lot of people were involved in the whole production (5 different characters coming out at various times.) I have been waiting for years to finally try the iconic peanut butter pizza and let's just say...worth it! My daughter was so excited to be here, just deemed this place the junkiest breakfast buffet ever due to the plethora of delicious desserts that come with the meal. Yes, it is pricey here and very crowded. So I recommend making a reservation especially during a prime vacation time. I can only get here during school holidays, like this one, Spring Break. Once you check in a professional photographer takes your picture. Make sure to have them give you a card or scan your app, you might want those photos later. I did not know the pictures actually came free with the meal! You get about a month worth of free copies where you can edit them in the app and make different versions. Had I known, we might have taken more photos, or I might have worn more makeup and a nicer outfit. This alone makes the brunch worth it since their pictures are so expensive. We went to the table and like Storyteller, the simple drinks come with the meal. I had their delicious coffee then an orange juice pineapple mix. Their mixed drinks sound good, maybe one day I will get a cocktail. Unlike Storyteller, they do not have an extra menu with small plates, all of the available food is out on the buffet, but I thought very delicious. I almost literally took one small piece of every food just to try it. It is divided into sections, breakfast, lunch foods, salads, desserts, kid's food, and yogurt bar, frozen and breakfast filled with toppings galore. The breakfast pizzas were incredible, my main reason to visit. We tried peanut butter, s'more, breakfast, and cheese pizza. All so yummy. Honestly, if a carry-out for this pizza existed, I would do it. I love the Mickey waffles and they had Mickey pancakes as well. A fun item that has inspired me is their mac and cheese and scrambled eggs. I might make this at home some day. Their lunch food was really good. They had some cooked fish and rice that was spectacular, and their veggie pasta was also quite good. I am curious to know how their dinner buffet compares. I liked the salads, charcuterie plate, avocado toast, and bagel area. But the desserts, those were perhaps the best. They had gooey cinnamon rolls, macarons, cookies, tiramisu, dirt cups, beignet, lemon cake slices, and that sundae bar was the best ever at a breakfast buffet with chocolate and caramel sauce plus good candy and fruit toppings. Epic choices of food. I loved the characters. They visited and danced every ten to twenty minutes, so funny, the kids loved it. This is a huge spot for little kids and birthdays, beware, it is livelier and noisier than Storytellers if you need to make a choice. We loved it (actually both). The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. We had our last birthday celebration with cupcakes and song. This buffet included the tip in the bill and the server let me know. Food, is your typical buffet breakfast food, everything was mediocre, not as flavorful as it looks. But there's a large variety of different food. I did appreciate the omelette station, that was my fav. You're not really paying for the food, you're paying for the experience, the buffet was not worth $60. They did have alcohol on their menu which I thought was really cool. The service is great, you're waited on the whole time. They really care to make sure you are having the best experience. The ambiance is a bit outdated. The characters are really the main attraction. What was sad was Mickey wasn't there. But overall, it was a must. My little one loved it so much. Made reservations here for my dad's birthday dinner. You get 3 hours of free self parking or validated parking when you eat here. We arrived early, checked in, and was able to get seated before our actual reservation time which was great. Once seated, we were asked what we wanted to drink (soft drinks included) then we were on our way to the buffet! The buffet is very kid friendly (pizza, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, dirt in worms, etc.). However, there are also a good number items catered more for adults (smoked salmon, prime rib and roasted turkey at the carving station, etc.). Birthdays were being celebrated around the restaurant with a special dessert and candle brought to the table with Happy Birthday being sung to the specially recognized diner. Hubs was included that evening too. Very organized check in, family photos with Goofy taken by a photographer for sale later during your meal. If you are a child at heart you will enjoy the pizzas, mac and cheese, pretzel hot dogs and soft serve with your choice of toppings. If you have an adult palate, they have two items at the carving station, salads and fruits. The best thing was it was a dining experience with the Disney characters: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and the chipmunks. Thank goodness when I was in 3rd grade my cousin told me which one was Chip and which one was Dale. All the characters graciously took photos with each table. Some got on their knees to spend a moment or two with the little ones who hugged them with sheer love even though no words are exchanged between them. At first the chipmunks seemed to by pass our table then after Chip had left Dale came by. Hubs who thought he already took a picture was not enthused and said I already took a picture with him. Outstanding outing with my wife and 14-month old! We were referred by our friend, who said this could help cut down standing in lines at Disneyland since characters were rotated in, and this place did not disappoint! We went the day before Disneyland, for dinner, and the food was fantastic! Lots of great choices, and some of the meat and chicken cut by the chef were superb - I was thoroughly impressed! I was unsure since some reviews said the food was lackluster, but maybe that only applies to breakfast because dinner was outstanding. We also had characters come by a decent amount of times, and they stayed long enough for us to get videos and photos and interact with our son. Again, other reviews mentioned not coming by enough but that wasn't the case for us, and we were pretty far in the back. The restaurant smelled like old vomit so it was hard to consume food while having that stench linger and the lighting is pretty dim inside. Only one character came by our table in the 1.5hours we were there and it was Chip. Not even Goofy or Minnie which is a big disappointment for my daughter. Would not recommend.
