I don't know why all the negative reviews here for Goofy's Kitchen. No one should be going in thinking you're getting a Michelin star dining experience. You're there for the characters and the food is buffet food. Honestly everything I ate today was tasty and I would order it again. The biscuits and gravy were the only miss for me. The tri tip was flavorful and tender. The miso salmon was delicious. The bacon was thick and crispy. Made to order omelette was great and had a nice cheese pull too! Service was excellent and our drinks were continuously refilled and she even got us some drinks to go once we were done.

Just want to post the current prices because they really make it hard to find out the exact prices online . I'm not sure how families budget to eat here. I have dated here many times and we use to love to bring the kids here but not sure with these current prices we will be back.

Overpriced, yet somehow the memories made here are worth every penny. We had some great interactions with the characters. Only complaint is regarding cleanliness... at one point the syrup ramekins were all dirty in the "clean" spot by the food. Other than that our wait staff and host were great. Not sure if we would do it again...but don't regretting doing it at all.

We always LOVE dining at Goofy's kitchen! Character dining is so fun and the buffet is delicious! Food-10/10. We usually go for breakfast for the Mickey shaped waffles. They are soooo yummy. They even have gluten free ones (you need to ask your server about it) and they are really good. It's a buffet full of lots of breakfast, brunch, and desserts. The food is good and unlimited. Characters- 100/10. Character dining is so fun! Before you get seated, your party takes a picture with Goofy in his kitchen setup. Characters also come by to every table so everyone has a chance to meet them and take pictures/videos. Every so often, they also do a little parade through the restaurant which is really fun. They also have different outfits for the holidays, which is really cute! Service- 10/10. Service is great! So welcoming and kind! Extras- We got free validated downtown disney parking which is nice. If it's someone's birthday, they will bring a birthday cupcake!

We took our 15-month-old daughter to Goofy's Kitchen and it was such a special experience. At that age, you never know how they'll react The characters were amazing with her. They were gentle, playful, and took their time so she wouldn't feel overwhelmed. Seeing her little face was priceless .

French toast with butter and syrup and the best thing is the bacon and crab cake. Plates are decorated with flowers. The workers are always welcoming people with joy. The place is small but worth the wait. By Louise (7 years old)(1st grade)

We had a great experience here back in November of 2025 for my nieces 7th birthday. We had a reservation for somewhat of a large party and we didn't have to wait very long for our table to be ready. Once we sat down we were greeted by the best waiter. He is hands down the best, is hilarious, and did a great job helping us if we needed anything. I wished I remembered his name, but I would come back if it meant he was our waiter again. I felt like the food selection was better than at Storytellers. It wasn't pure chaos inside while we were there. We saw so many characters and even saw some of them more than once. I enjoyed that they danced and did a march through the entire restaurant like a little cavalcade. The food was pretty good too. Just standard for buffets. I'd love to come back here when they're dressed in their Halloween attire or during Christmas time next. Goofy's Kitchen is located inside the Disneyland Hotel and you don't need to stay at the hotel in order to dine there. If you're visiting the parks, you'll have to walk all the way to the end of downtown Disney and out past security check in to get to the hotel. That means when you're done you will need to go through security again to get back into downtown Disney. They don't allow Disneyland scooters into the hotel so you will have to park them right outside security and walk to the hotel from there. If you rented from a 3rd party company those are allowed. The walk from security to the hotel isn't very long.

    Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Halloween! - September 2025
    Diele K.

For my birthday, I booked Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Halloween! Breakfast to try this location out for the first time. I've heard a lot about it, but never had someone to dine with me and didn't want to do it solo. It is a bit steep of a price for breakfast, but the buffet does offer quite the selection. From a fresh salad bar to Mickey Shaped Waffles and Pancakes to even chicken tenders and Mac n Cheese even at breakfast time. Heck, there's even ice cream and toppings! I definitely think anyone could find something they'd enjoy here with the selection of items. For $69, I'm not sure it was worth the value unless celebrating something and not my every Disney trip stop for dining. Though the service, characters, and selections were great the ambiance was dwindled by the commotion in the dining area. I get that there are a lot of kids as this is a highly sought after experience for children, but I found the noise to be quite jarring. Even when they played music as it was quite loud were we were seated. A feel times were overstimulating, but it still was a great experience that I'd recommend to others. Get those napkins ready to twirl in the air - time to celebrate with Goofy and friends. Have those cameras or cell phones ready to snap photos as characters do roam throughout your meal. Wherever you decide to dine, have a magical day!

    Goofy!!

Everything went well! The food at goofy's kitchen was cooked perfectly. We did the dinner buffet. I do wish they had melted butter for the crab. But that's just a personal preference. This buffet is so convenient because it's open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner! You can eat here before going to the park. Pro tip; make a reservation on the Disneyland app ahead of time!! At least one week. This is a popular buffet and it gets really busy. Meeting the characters was so lovely. They come out every 10-15 minutes. My toddler's reaction to meeting them were priceless. Kids 2 and under eat free. Prices vary depending on which time you go. They accept walk-ins, but it's not guaranteed. They have breakfast pizzas. Ambiance is loud and fun.

I am trying to make reservations online and no date or time is available all the way through October 12, does anyone know how to get reservations?

That's odd. I reviewed the availability for 4, and there were plenty of slots. You might want to call them directly to make the reservation for a larger party.

To someone who has been in the past month, do they still serve pizza, chicken strips, Mac n cheese etc at breakfast/brunch time?

Yes they do! Usually more towards brunch time.

Are they allowing pictures with the characters again? In 2021 when we went last they just danced around and never came to the tables. In 2019 they did pictures and characters at each table. Just want to know if it's normal again.

Yes lots of pictures happening when the characters meet and greet at the table!

Do they give a little birthday cupcake at breakfast or only dinner?

For breakfast yes dinner I'm not to sure

Are reservations needed? Or can you just show up and wait?

    Must have reservation

I am thinking of making reservations here for my daughter's birthday (since Napa Rose with the princesses are all booked). Do you prefer the breakfast or dinner option? Also, do I need a park reservation for this? Do they do anything for birthdays?

Do you take walk ins? Cuz I'm unable to reserve anything

Is turkey sausage served for breakfast?

I believe the sausage is regular sausage as the Goofy’s Kitchen menu does not specify turkey.

I'm taking my son here for his bday in Jan... Do any of the characters stop to take photos with guests at the tables? I see videos of them dancing and walking.. but don't they ever stop for photos?

Yes! When they stop at your table, you can absolutely ask them for a picture. They will interact with you and your guests as well.

I have a really picky eater. Do they have things like chicken strips and fries. Or plain noodles with butter?

They make amazing chicken strips and they have mac n cheese.

How's the dinner menu? Is the pb pizza included in the dinner menu also?

Dinner has a good selection of proteins, starches and vegetables. But you are there more for the character interactions.

How do I make a reservation for goofy kitchen?

You can make reservations online. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/#/reservations-accepted/

I really like how this place isn't super crowded and has fair buffet pricing. Any AYCE meat/kbbq/shabu place is well in the $30-$40. They are not. Many of those places have dining time restrictions which always makes me nervous. Also, this place does not. You get meat. Veggies. Dim sum. Fried foods. Seafoods. Soups and salads. They clean the grill frequent enough so you don't get other flavors in your food. I've been eating a lot of stone crab and fried crab. Super generous and always refilling the trays. Sushi section well stocked. Soups and dim sum (shrimp gar) is a nice treat. Fruit station is amazing: Longan. Cherries. Papayas. Pineapple and superb watermelon. Buffet Lovers May Enjoy This One, But It Wasn't Quite Our Flavor…read more Hubby and I were on the hunt for a new spot to try and stumbled upon this Mediterranean buffet while browsing Yelp. First things first -- plenty of parking in the plaza, so no need to circle around hunting for a spot. We arrived around 3:30 PM, and since weekday lunch pricing is $21.99 per person from 11 AM-4 PM, we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess kindly allowed us to stay through the transition until 4:30 PM before dinner pricing kicked in. That was definitely appreciated! The ambience is what you'd expect from a buffet: open, spacious, and filled with plenty of tables for larger groups and families. Now onto the food... One thing I really enjoyed was the impressive selection of appetizers and dips. There were several varieties of hummus including spicy hummus, avocado hummus, baba ghanoush, along with a sauce station featuring tahini, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. If you're a dip-and-spread person, you'll probably be pretty happy here. They also had multiple rice options and a variety of proteins. Most of the selections consisted of different styles of chicken, along with fried fish and grilled fish. I believe the lamb shank is only offered during dinner service or on weekends, so unfortunately we missed out on that. As for the food itself, this is where the experience became a little mixed for us. While there were certainly a lot of choices, many of the dishes felt surprisingly similar, and overall the food lacked the bold Mediterranean flavors we were hoping for. Most items were fairly mild and a bit bland for our taste. Nothing tasted bad, but very little stood out enough to make us want to go back for seconds. For dessert, they offered baklava, pistachio rice pudding, and a few other sweet treats, which was a nice way to end the meal. Service, however, was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, so I'd easily give the service 5/5 stars. Overall, I landed at 3 out of 5 stars. I appreciate the buffet concept, the variety, and the wonderful service, but for hubby and me, flavor is king. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have enough seasoning or wow factor to make us want to return for a second visit. If you're looking for a Mediterranean buffet with lots of options, it may be worth trying once and deciding for yourself. Happy eats!

The orange chicken was dry and broccoli beef was too chewy and tasted like rubber. On the bright side, I enjoyed the coffee ice cream which gave me a mini energy boost. Staff quickly refilled food so all options were available. Employees were helpful, providing us with a crab leg cracker when we asked. I did notice some plates were wet. This place offers quantity but not quality. Easy to find parking here. Plenty of seating available. No wait-short wait times.

Check-in is just as easy using your cell phone. You'll be parking your stroller in front of the cafe. The vibe is light and family friendly. The hostess typically offers you a pin and guides you to your table. Immediately you'll notice how clean the place is and that there are restrooms located inside the cafe, all very clean. The customer service is excellent. Within a minute more/less you're greeted by your waiter and within that time frame (if not sooner) you'll start to see Disney characters interacting with guests or with each other. Disney characters visit each section in intervals and spend time with each family. We loved that. We also appreciate how respectful and considerate the characters are to frightened guests. They truly try to make a good impression on those that are scared. The buffet is clean and offers a variety of food for picky eaters, vegetarians, pescatarians and most of everything in between. Love coming back with our family.

The buffet offered a great variety of delicious options, and the service was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit. We've also dined at Goofy's Kitchen in the past and if I had to choose between the two, I would pick this character dining experience. First, you get to see Mickey Mouse here (although Goofy is not part of the lineup). Second, the characters seemed much more interactive, engaging, and personable with the children. Third, the buffet selection was noticeably better with much more appealing options. An added bonus is that you receive three hours of complimentary valet parking when you validate your parking ticket with the restaurant, making the experience even more convenient.
