The character interactions we're great as expected and the quality of the buffet was actually better then expected from the eggs benny, salads, pastries and the omelet station. The pbj pizza that everyone raves about was OK. It wasn't like you we're eating a pbj on pizza dough. It felt like your average pbj sandwich but do try it once and see for yourself. The highlight without a doubt was the character interactions. We got the last available time for brunch which was at 12:40 pm and with most of the brunch crowd leaving that may have been the reason why the characters spent a great amount of time interacting with us. It's has been as several years since we have dined at Goofy's Kitchen inside the Disneyland Hotel. Today, on their actual birthday (7/24), with a noon reservation, we tried this nostalgic place again. What better way to celebrate my twins' birthday than with their fun drama friends. At first, we were underwhelmed as it seemed like the characters were less enthusiastic and animated. Goofy was acting "nonchalant" as the these teens put it, which is uncharacteristic of his personality. Maybe it was because they aren't little kids anymore, or maybe it was because it was towards the end of the dining experience and the cast was tired? We gave them the benefit of the doubt and focused on dining. Minnie was on the mellow side and Dale wasn't as dorky as usual. Pluto was playful and nice. All of them were courteous hosts per the usual standard. Then, I noticed Chip (Dale's counterpart), being quite playful and animated with some of the guests. After one of the character dance parades, on their way out on their break, Chip interacted with our table by playing a prank taking one girl's jacket and pretending it was stolen by one of the birthday girls. Everyone was laughing and invested. From this point on, it was our highlight to seek out Chip. He did not disappoint. Now, this was the level of interaction we were looking for. He never passed our table without acknowledging us. Whomever this wonderful cast member was, thank you! Please don't ever change and keep up this wonderful energy. Everyone at the table was thoroughly entertained and fully engaged. Our girls said, "Chip was the GOAT!" Towards the end of our dining experience, the other characters all started to loosen up and come by. ALL of them were so gracious and patient in taking individual pictures with each member of our party for their autographs books. They stopped by frequently and checked in on us with their interactive personalities. Minnie, hostess with the mostess, asked about our dining experience and love of the food. Since we were near the exit, all the characters would come by, hang out, and play around with our party and then move on. What started out as a mellow experience, ending up being better than what we hoped for our girls' birthday! They all made it so special and wonderful that we left a gratitude note for the cast. We even left one specifically for Chip with Ashley, the Character Host. She was amazing and helped to inform us about how we can leave a raving review about our experience (through the app). Mario, our waiter, made sure our dining needs were met and that the birthday girls received their birthday cupcakes with a festive celebratory song. All in all, this was an excellent experience. We have great Goofy's Kitchen memories stemming from the time the kids were babies until their pre-teens. Goofy's Kitchen is a character dining option at the Disneyland resort inside the Disneyland Hotel. They validate three hours of parking so that gives you time to eat and walk it off after at downtown Disney. The check-in process is easy and while you're waiting to be called up, you can take your photo with Goofy in his kitchen. There is a cast member there taking photos and it's complimentary for your visit. They give you a photo pass so you can download it from your Disneyland app. Service is always stellar in any area of the resort. Our waitress, Barbara, took excellent care of us. When you arrive at your table, there are Goofy's Kitchen pins waiting for you and they take your drink orders immediately. Alcohol and any special crafted drinks are extra but you get your regular fountain drinks and juices for the kids. We did the dinner buffet and it had some good options. Their kale and broccoli salad were really good. I had some honey glazed salmon and it was as good as you would expect honey glazed salmon to be at an endless buffet. They had a carving station for various protein option and the kids section had pizza, Mac and cheese, corn dogs, fries, and chicken tenders. Their dessert spread was great! I really enjoyed their crème brûlée and carrot cake. Barbara offered some coffee to pair with my dessert, which I was dying for but I passed on it because coffee at 6 pm is never a good idea. My niece got to see Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, Donald, and Pluto while we enjoyed our food. She jumped in excitement and the characters did such a good job interacting with her. You're there for the characters and the food is buffet food. Honestly everything I ate today was tasty and I would order it again. The biscuits and gravy were the only miss for me. We've always loved coming here for kids' birthday celebrations, but unfortunately this last experience is one I'll never forget. During our visit, one of the characters accidentally bumped into my child, causing him to fall and hit his forehead on the floor. I'm very thankful that a nurse was brought over to check on him and that a report was taken immediately. However, after the incident I was extremely shaken and uncomfortable. I could barely enjoy my meal because my focus was entirely on my son and making sure he was okay. Despite what happened, we were still charged full price for our meal, which was disappointing considering the circumstances. Thankfully, we had not entered the park that day, but the incident completely changed the experience for our family. I kept my son right by my side afterward while walking back to our table to feed him. I understand accidents can happen, but I do think the characters should be more careful and avoid walking too quickly around small children. I hope this feedback helps improve safety for other families visiting in the future. read more

We had a great experience here back in November of 2025 for my nieces 7th birthday. We had a reservation for somewhat of a large party and we didn't have to wait very long for our table to be ready. Once we sat down we were greeted by the best waiter. He is hands down the best, is hilarious, and did a great job helping us if we needed anything. I wished I remembered his name, but I would come back if it meant he was our waiter again. I felt like the food selection was better than at Storytellers. It wasn't pure chaos inside while we were there. We saw so many characters and even saw some of them more than once. I enjoyed that they danced and did a march through the entire restaurant like a little cavalcade. The food was pretty good too. Just standard for buffets. I'd love to come back here when they're dressed in their Halloween attire or during Christmas time next. Goofy's Kitchen is located inside the Disneyland Hotel and you don't need to stay at the hotel in order to dine there. If you're visiting the parks, you'll have to walk all the way to the end of downtown Disney and out past security check in to get to the hotel. That means when you're done you will need to go through security again to get back into downtown Disney. They don't allow Disneyland scooters into the hotel so you will have to park them right outside security and walk to the hotel from there. If you rented from a 3rd party company those are allowed. The walk from security to the hotel isn't very long. read more

I recently returned for the first-time as an adult and it was magical sharing this experience with my cousin's kiddos. While the food is decent, the character meet and greets are truly what make this place shine. We met Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. It's pretty much a cheat code to avoid hours and hours of lines inside Disneyland Park. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the menu. We attended for brunch ($80 a person) which includes endless breakfast items. I tried the chilaquiles, fried chicken and waffles pizza, salad, fruit, and a number of desserts for funsies. The kids were obsessed with the Mickey shaped waffles and the ice cream machine + build your own sundae station. I was a little bummed to find out that coffee wasn't included. We ordered iced lattes with a shot of vanilla (very average) and were charged an additional $8. I feel like an $80 buffet should cover coffee? You definitely don't want under caffeinated parents around this many children. read more

For my birthday, I booked Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Halloween! Breakfast to try this location out for the first time. I've heard a lot about it, but never had someone to dine with me and didn't want to do it solo. It is a bit steep of a price for breakfast, but the buffet does offer quite the selection. From a fresh salad bar to Mickey Shaped Waffles and Pancakes to even chicken tenders and Mac n Cheese even at breakfast time. Heck, there's even ice cream and toppings! I definitely think anyone could find something they'd enjoy here with the selection of items. For $69, I'm not sure it was worth the value unless celebrating something and not my every Disney trip stop for dining. Though the service, characters, and selections were great the ambiance was dwindled by the commotion in the dining area. I get that there are a lot of kids as this is a highly sought after experience for children, but I found the noise to be quite jarring. Even when they played music as it was quite loud were we were seated. A feel times were overstimulating, but it still was a great experience that I'd recommend to others. The lady at the parking booth is extremely rude for no reason when checking in our party for Goofys Kitchen. Was there for my granddaughters birthday and she loved all the characters coming by the table. The service is excellent and everyone was very friendly. However, the food was gross, and I'm putting that nicely. Food temperature not kept at proper temperature and all waffles and bread items were very stale. The character experience was underwhelming -- we only saw a few characters, and Minnie was the only main one. For that price, I expected to at least see Mickey. The food was just mediocre. There are options like prime rib, shrimp, pizza, and chicken nuggets, but nothing really stood out in terms of taste. Such a great experience!! We joined Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast and had a great time! The experience started off with a meet and greet with Goofy in his kitchen area. He took time with each kid, not just a quick snap and go. Love that you get the pics directly to the Disney app and not an added cost. Next we were seated and met the server. She was very sweet and made sure we were taking care of. While dining, we also got the opportunity to Spend time with Pluto, Chip and Dale. Goofy circled back by too! What a unique dining experience filled with opportunities to see classic Disney characters. The buffet has something for everyone. I love that there's a section where the food is on a lower shelf that's accessible to kids. My favorite foods were the tri tip, Mac n cheese, grilled pineapple, and cucumbers from the salad bar. There were many salad options, but they all were doused in dressing. There were a ton of dessert options. The cakes were dry, but I enjoyed the creme rules and soft serve ice cream. The part that makes this place special is the interaction with the characters. They have music and a mini parade every 20 minutes. We got to see Minnie, Pluto, the chipmunks, and Goofy. Parade aside, sometimes the characters walked around and interacted with each table, this was the best. We could take photos with them. Kids can have conversations with them. In our case, Pluto helped us cheer up a crying baby. What a life saver! Overall the service was good. We love our server who had a dry humor and she visited our table often to check in on us. There was a very grumpy fellow serving the tri tip, but he gave large slices. So not a perfect 5 star experience, but definitely a memorable one. The restaurant is definitely geared towards family dining and making memories with your kids, which it is great at! The vegetarian/vegan offerings were way less this year (2026) than they had been last time I was here (2023). I think this is a cultural thing for the United States- but the servers were not friendly. We ordered a wine tasting flight, she didn't even bother to tell us which wine was which (they were all cheap American wine anyways). In the United States, it's normal for them to take your credit card into the back to process the payment. However, using a non-American card presented some issues. Came here to celebrate my 2 year old's birthday. Service is superb. They were able to accommodate one more person that we had originally reserved, our server was on top of the drink orders and picking up extra plates and making sure we were great. The characters did come around to the tables a couple of times and towards the end, the manager did come in to check on us to confirm that we had seen all the characters. Just FYI- the photos are free and Goofy does not walk around the tables. The only way to grab him is at the beginning when you are walking in. If you miss him like we did, you are welcome to get another photo when you are heading out. We were told that the only time Goofy really walks around is towards the end of the night when the last reservation time has passed. Parking is covered for three hours but you need to park in the Disneyland Hotel lot. Either valet or self parking. Up to you. The only downside was that we were seated in a corner and we felt disconnected from the rest of the restaurant. Every 40mins/hour the characters do a little dance and walk around and because of our seating arrangement, we were not able to witness it or be a part of it. We thought about cancelling our reservation because we saw so many characters in the park, but my son loves Chip and Dale and hadn't gotten autographs yet so we decided to keep it. This was exactly what you think it is. The breakfast buffet was delicious but not game changing (and anybody expecting it to be has different expectations than are fair for a buffet with kid-friendly food), but what you really go for are the character interactions. Each character comes around to all the tables and says hi, signs autographs, and takes as many pics as you want. My kids had the time of their lives, and it was a perfect ending to a perfect Disney trip. Shout out to all the birthdays (it's clear that it's a birthday celebration place!), and to the characters with their parade dance party every 30min (I am guessing that's when the character actors switch?). I had my first experience today at Goofy's Kitchen and it didn't disappoint! Goofy's Kitchen is located in the Disneyland Hotel. Making a reservation is a must! After checking in through the app, we took some pictures in their photobooth ($10 for two strips for sharing), took pictures with their Autopia car display and took a complimentary picture with Dapper Goofy (it's Easter so I am not sure if it is just for the season or if it is for every day they are open.) The venue has ample seats with tons of room to walk in between the tables. It is multi-leveled so it's easy to see the characters walk and dance around. The characters are very friendly and personable. The kids at our table had a blast! One of them, who didn't really like characters, actually warmed up to them and took a few pictures. The food is your standard buffet: breakfast and brunch items like bacon, sausage eggs benedict, the famous Mickey waffles. It is pricey so make sure you head over to the carving station where they serve up links, prime rib and porchetta. Some of the standouts are: - Porchetta: succulent season meat with crispy skin. I had to get seconds! - Pork pozole: squeezed some lemon and added cabbage and chili seeds, this was the perfect way to end the meal (yes, it was so good and felt good in my stomach - PB n J pizza and s'mores pizza: these dessert pizzas didn't look impressive but they are very good. It's a fun spot! Now that I have tried both storytellers cafe and goofys kitchen we much more prefer storytellers cafe. It's newer and its vibe and food is more upscale for the same price. We had fun at both though. Each one had different and similar food we enjoyed. Goofys kitchen is much more geared towards children. It is a classic and is 25 years old now, so it definitely could use a remodel or refresh. The one off putting thing was the smell of the carpet when we walked in, it was off putting but we still had a good time. You do get a complimentary photo with goofy upon entering or exiting if you wish and it is conveniently located in the Disneyland hotel so if you're staying there with little ones it's an easy spot to eat. read more
