Good food (buffet style) . . . especially the scrambled eggs, chicken salad, pasta salad, lots of cut up fruits and veggies. Spacious seating. Swift service (waiters bring drinks). Add extra $15 per mimosa otherwise standard drinks are included with your meal. The roving characters (Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Chip and Dale, etc.) who stopped by every table for photo ops and hugs delighted me most. Fun watching other guests celebrating birthdays and a healthy breakfast before entering the park. We're already planning our next Disney visit to include a stop at Goofy's Kitchen. We had a nice experience at Goofy's kitchen recently. While we were at Disneyland we decided to have a character breakfast so we could add on to our character autograph collection. We were seated at the end where the characters exit for their breaks. This probably is not a great place to sit if you want characters to come by and hassle your family. Of the five characters we typically see, we were visited by three while we dined for 1-1/2 hours. Kind of a bummer. The food is ok. It is a free for all buffet with an insane layout for food serving. The selections were varied but the lines for one buffet service would overlap into another servicing area. The result was people would accidentally cut in front of people waiting for food thinking they were getting food for another buffet line. The food quality was better than average for Disney establishments. We did enjoy ourselves for the atmosphere and the characters. I wouldn't necessarily eat here for the food as there are plenty of better places in the area. read more

Had a nice experience at Disney's Goofy's Kitchen. This was my 2nd time going. Be prepared if you go. They take rsvp's 60 days in advance. I booked mine way ahead of time. I am a very scheduled individual so I like my days planned out. Also be prepared to pay a pretty Penny for breakfast/bruch/lunch. I think it goes for about $39 per adult a little less for kids 3-10yrd and 2and under free . Your mostly paying for the characters to come to your table. I kinda stood back and watched how it played out. It seems they try to have diners come in and seated on the hour. They characters then walk & dance around a bit in the mean while your trying to time it just right to hit the buffet and inhale your food before the characters come . I loved mostly the junk sweets and my fave was the Pozolé soup. Everything else was ok. Not sure if I'll.come back to this one. Hands down the best place to eat breakfast and get the whole experience of Disney. Love the characters and they are very friendly. Each of them take their time at your table. Not just to say hello and take pictures but kind of feel you out as what kind of personality you have and some of them like to tease a little. Since we are definitely on this silly side we got teased a lot and the kids love it. The food quality is spot on the breakfast bar was really good. They have many varieties for brunch options. Yes the cost is more than above average for brunch but it definitely completes the Disney experience. We ate here a couple times twice with reservations and another couple times without we only had to wait about five minutes to get in. We came to goofys kitchen on November 20, 2021 to celebrate my 2 daughters birthdays. We were all super excited to experience this for the first time. Well I could not be so sorry for coming. First off, it's way too pricey for a buffet style that does not have many options and the food was disgusting and bland. It tasted like cafeteria food. Even the desserts were not that good. You pretty much pay for the entertainment because the characters come out every 20 mins. So that was the only cool part. And I will say that the customer service was very good. Let me preface by saying I was able to get the original experience of goofys kitchen last year in February of 2020 before everything got crazy. However, today we took my daughter for her first time today and it was so disappointing. The food itself is mediocre and just ok. They do have lots of Mickey shaped things and good pastries, but it's nothing extraordinary. Then the "character experience" is just a dance party every 20 minutes for only 4 characters to run around the restaurant dancing for 4 minutes. There's absolutely NO personal time and we stayed for the 4th round and it was like my kids got ignored because we had been there for so long. I wouldn't mind this as the new process, but what you are spending does not match the experience you get. Absolutely DO NOT recommend this experience until it goes back to normal! The food is not worth the amount you pay per person. I was taken there my birthday dinner and I felt bad complaining while there. The food was warm closer to cold, the options were very limited, the food seemed microwaved. The dessert table has more options than the the actual food options. Our server was George and was great! Holy moly!! Where do I even start? The experience at Goofy's Kitchen is perfect for the kids. The entertainment for them was magical. The food was pretty good, we were the first reservation at 7am, so the food was prepared nicely & hot. There are a lot of nuts, so if you or your child have a nut allergy, might not be the best place because you will need to avoid a lot of the food. It is rather costly, but this isn't something that is done all of the time. I find for the price adults could have a little more to choose from. I've came here once before, and at that time I knew the food was not good, but the experience would be worth it for my daughter to see the characters. This 2nd time we came, I can say I wont be back. It's not worth it. We got sat at a little corner table that was too small for our group, and they just added an extra chair to the end. The area seemed to be the character turn- around point. My daughter would get excited to see the characters and then they would turn around to go back to the main area. I understand they make their rounds, but it seemed they were very rushed when it came to our table. The waiter kept forgetting what we asked for, its a buffet but they bring you drinks, & he kept getting those wrong. Example, asked for regular milk, they brought out almond milk, we asked for coke zero, they brought out coke, my daughter asked for orange juice they brought out apple. He didn't write anything down, but then got everything wrong, which is not a big deal, but by the time they bring the correct items your food/ coffee is cold. And they automatically charge you 18 percent tip on top of the $52 they charge for adults, so it doesn't really matter if you get bad service, they're getting their tip regardless. 30 minutes in and no characters coming to our table, I had already regretted going there. Overall, a combination of lack of character experience, bad food, and overpriced means we wont be returning. The food at storytellers cafe is better and the restaurant is much cleaner. read more

Horrible experience. Definitely not worth it and feel like I don't know what we paid for. They sat us in a nook where none of the characters walk through. My kids were so sad that none of them would come by for a picture. I asked one of the workers if some of the characters could stop by for a picture. She said they know we are sitting there and will come by. They never did. We tried to take a picture with Chip as we were walking out and the same worker told us we couldn't because he was visiting other tables. I was so upset. So because we weren't seated in the direct walking path we basically did not have the same experience that everyone else had. The experience that we paid for. The food was your typical buffet food. I'm always a fan of going to these Disney character breakfast places. After trying all of them, this is by far the best one I've encountered. Goofy's Kitchen wins!! *Disney rule: make reservations always ahead of time and get there early* Had an 8:30am reservation with the fam, and before you get seated a cast member directs you to take a picture with the one and only himself.. Goofy! After that you get your assigned table, and server asked what beverage you'd like. Then it's free for all on food (well not really since its $35) but all you can eat buffet style. Heck yes! This traditional breakfast buffet definitely has a lot of choices since it mainly goes towards the kiddos. From Mickey pancakes, waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, choice of cereal or fruit, desserts. If you aren't into breakfast they have chicken tenders, pizza, mac & cheese, and much more. Plus soft serve ice cream and sprinkles, yay!!! Food wasn't that bad and actually really good. DISNEY CHARACTERS: Mainly for my niece since she is a fan of Minnie, but we all enjoyed seeing Goofy, Chip & Dal, Minnie, and Pluto. What I love is they they come to the table and they don't rush you when taking pictures and signing autographs. Plus I got a couple selfies with Pluto and Goofy so that was a treat for me. Personally, I find this restaurant to be super fun for people of all ages. I don't visit this restaurant looking for a five star meal because that's just setting yourself for really high expectations. Go next door to Steakhouse 55 if that's what you're looking for. Goofy's is a great location to see the Disney characters without having to pay the theme park prices. The characters try to make their way to every table to provide everyone with a memorable experience. Even if you visit with all adults at your table, the characters will still do their best to make sure everyone is having a good time. If at any moment you feel your table is being excluded or forgotten, LET YOUR SERVER KNOW. The characters don't keep track of who they visit, if you let your server know then there's better chances of the characters stopping by your table. Expect to pay $20 + per child and $40+ per adult for all any meal plus tax and gratuity. Luckily, it's a buffet so make sure you're hungry. I would suggest to book a reservation because Goofy's has turned away walk-ins in the past. If there's a birthday celebration, sometimes they'll bring out a birthday cupcake and sing "Happy Birthday". Food is good, but not amazing. I have a sweet tooth, so I love their huge dessert layout. They also have a a section for food for kids, a salad bar, fruit, a soft serve station, soups, and other items (this would apply towards dinner hours). Service is good. My family and I came here tonight for my little sisters birthday. The character dining experience was impressive and my kids loved it. Tonight the characters that visited us at our table were Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. They were fun, nice and entertaining. Unfortunately, the food was okay. I wasn't impressed. The only thing to rave about is the corn bread, yummy! Oh and the smores pizza and blueberry crumb pizza (desserts). I probably wouldn't come back here again unless my kids begged me to. But hey, maybe their breakfast is better? It's pricey, but you're pretty much paying for waving your napkin in the air for the Disney characters to visit your table and take pictures. Honestly, this is a great place for a breakfast brunch and definitely beats a lot of the other brunch places I've been to. I appreciated that their eggs were soft and not dried out, their salmon benedicts were absolutely delicious. I loved that their raspberries and strawberries were so fresh--they honestly had one of the best fruit selections that I've seen at a buffet as well. My family especially love the AYCE macarons for dessert :) Of course, there were Mickey pancakes and waffles and characters. They also offered some savory meal options like chicken and sautéed veggies (I actually really enjoyed those veggies as well!). We ran into a snafu (try not to get a seat near the entrance/exit for the characters in the side corridor-shaped seating area--they missed us completely in the 2+ hours we were there, but you CAN speak to your waiter/management and they will be sure to take care of you thereafter and we got autographs and pictures with all the characters in the end thankfully :) The waiters were very attentive and kind. We had an amazing time celebrating my great granddaughter's first birthday at goofy's kitchen. It is an expensive event but you pay for the entertainment and it's well worth it. We had a group of eight and it was about $400. They do charge $16 for a glass of champagne. Our waitress greeted us immediately we were seated probably after a five minute wait. First we took our group photo with goofy. The food is plentiful and it is all geared towards children. There is an omelette station. Tons of breakfast items you will not go hungry or drinks were filled continuously and our table was cleared intermittently. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming and sang happy birthday to the baby and she devoured her birthday cupcake. Visited on a Sunday night at 5pm. It was pretty crowded for trying to catch an early seating. I had a 5:30pm reservation and I am not sure how not having the reservation would have affected the ability to dine there. It cost $43 for an adult. With tax and tip it is almost $55. Whether you feel that justifies the buffet and character experience will probably vary. Ambience: it's family friendly large dining area. Everything looks nice and you won't be out of place in theme park clothes. Before you are seated, they offer to take a photo with Chef Mickey. Later you can buy it for about $37 but just ask the photographer to use your cell phone. Characters included Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale. They circle around pretty often but for some reason Chip kept skipping our section. Every now and then they dance around the room too. Service: our waiter was pretty attentive. They basically just bring you drinks and take plates away. Sometimes it took awhile for a drink refill. Food: I have gone for the breakfast and be aware a lot of the same food is offered for both. There is a salad area which also included smoked salad, olives, and caprese. The children's station had hot dogs, nuggets, Mac and cheese, spaghetti, popcorn shrimp and pizza. The main food area had teriyaki chicken (pretty good), carver meats (okay), fried chicken and ribs (okay), among some other options. There was a corn bread which is my new favorite. It was delicious. Desserts were a soft serve station and many mini treats. Most were chocolate oriented. All good but rich. Overall it is a nice experience. So so excited to finally have gotten the chance to come to this place. Came with my kids, mother and sister. When arriving there I was kinda nervous because the people at the desk not helpful at all. They were just talking to each other never did they acknowledge us.. After my sister said something. The food itself is served buffet style, making it easy to try a bit of everything and figure out your favorites and go for more. The food is decent quality; some items are definitely better than others and overall I tend to avoid the kid-oriented items (peanut butter pizza, mac n cheese, etc) as they are on the blander and carb-ier side. The fruit here is INCREDIBLY fresh and delicious and the vegetables are well seasoned and not soggy. The dessert bar is also a delightful treat. The character interactions are the REAL reason to come here. They come right up to your table and engage with your party.
