I wanted to dispel some of the really negative things said because my experience was totally different. The ordering process online was extremely easy. I dont think I would ever opt to order at a kiosk and wait inside. The whole process is a major time saver to do ahead of time. You can even select what time in 15 minute increments you want to pick up. My order was ready about five minutes before promised and I received a text message notification to click on the link when I've arrived. I walked in to the locker indicated and clicked open locker. My locker opened and I grabbed my bag. It was such a satisfying process!!!! Getting in and out of the kitchen and parking lot took under a minute!! My life is scheduled minute to minute as I know so many peoples lives are I would eat here regularly just for the amazing convenience factor. That being said my salad was excellent!! it was like a super healthy version of a cheesecake factory or CPK salad so flavorful, crunchy fresh and delicious. I ordered extra dressing for two dollars which was completely unnecessary; and I love sauce and dressing. There was plenty in one container. If youre a guy you may want to order extra protein; the portions are definitely smaller. I am excited to try all the other options. Make sure you check the box to get silverware in your bag upon ordering. I do wish the containers and bag were more Eco friendly. I'm always on the search for a good gluten free pizza and I was so happy when my sister introduced me to goop pizza! We did the pickup feature and everything was super quick and easy. The person helping us at the counter was super nice and for a ghost kitchen it wasn't too too busy. The parking lot is small though so you aren't guaranteed one, but if you run in and out for your pick up you should be fine! Ordered from goop on my phone before leaving the house and upon arrival it was ready for me in a clean, seemingly temperature controlled locker. The pick up experience is interesting for sure and I don't love the human-less experience (it's new to me and mostly just feels like a super impersonal way to eat out) BUT the salad I ordered was fresh, flavorful and delicious and at the end of the day thats the most important. I had the Brentwood Chinese Chicken Salad and found it to be very filling and tasty. Got excited to try this spot after reading about the Cameron Diaz collaboration in some magazine and seeing that a location had opened in Orange County (where the Grant Boys used to be in Costa Mesa). It's a ghost kitchen so not much to do but show up and get your food out of the little locker. This is probably the future of dining. I had the Cameron's Summer Crunch Salad. It was fresh and vibrant and really flavorful. 5/5 My husband got the Mushroom Carnitas Bowl. The mushrooms looked like nothing like the photo on the website but he said it was tasty, especially the yummy sauce that came with it. He also added a side of miso salmon. It was the teeniest piece of salmon and it was $8.50 so I'd say it's definitely not worth it. I'd like to come back and try more items, especially from the goop rotisserie menu (which wasn't available at lunchtime), and the pizzas from goop superfina. Do not order from this location. It's a food hall where they make lots of different restaurant's food. Also, the serving sizes are small compared to other Goop Kitchen locations. My Cesar wrap was 90% lettuce and one piece of chicken, for 20$ it doesn't even fill me up. Save yourself the irritation and buy from somewhere else. read more

Good, expensive healthier take out. Is it all amazing, no. Some of it is. The chopped salad is fantastic with either salmon or chicken. I don't know if it was healthy from a calorie perspective but it tasted great! I didn't like the Chinese chopped salad (so much cabbage for me and didn't love the dressing). The pizzas and turkey meatballs are good mainly because I and gluten free and it's hard to come by decent GF Italian. My first impression of GOOP was ordering online and trying to pickup at the Costa Mesa Kitchens location...I covered that in another review. In this one I want to write something after doing some research. First, nobody would name this "GOOP" who wanted people to take it seriously. The name sounds more like something a Hollywood star would make up because it's "cute." In this case it really does a disservice to the entire restaurant and concept. And over the years it will damage it's viability and credibility - and that's a shame because this outlet embodies concepts that are important for American food-lovers to notice. SOURCING One of the things that most American restaurants don't pay attention to is "sourcing" - where you get your products and what is the quality? Restaurants like Per Se in New York and French Laundry in Northern Cal take it seriously because they operate with Swiss precision thanks to the work of Thomas Keller. The Chef visits the farms they source to ensure that produce is organically grown locally, no sprays, no additives, only compost. These are very rare crops that taste extraordinary because they are the product of regenerative agriculture and not "factory farming." The greatest restaurants in the world report they spend sometimes 50% of their time or more on sourcing. They inspect the seafood, they secure certifications that meat is grass-fed and pasture-raised. They ensure that they're consistently using only the best. REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE - NO FACTORY FARMS The reason we don't know much about this is that we are willing to eat at MacDonalds or any of the hundreds of other fast food outlets that will purchase produce and meat from the lowest bidder and if it suddenly shows up as impossible meats or insects, they'll just forget to mention it until later. Regenerative agriculture does not mass produce crops of GMO foods and spray them with Glyphosate and Dicamba. Those kill the soil and prevent the soil from transferring nutrients into the plants. Then the soil can't sequester carbon but rather releases carbon into the air. Regenerative farms don't till the soil but rather plant cover crops or let grass and weeds grow for a part of the year. Factor Farms till the soil and kill all the bacteria and life in the soil so it cannot support healthy growth without fertilizers and additives. World Class Chefs won't touch food that is not grown using regenerative agriculture with animals integrated into the farming. PRECISION PREPARATION In a fine restaurant, the Chef insures that every detail is given attention and that procedures are established so that every menu item is prepared exactly the same way every time. Even if the kitchen has a lot of sous chefs, the Chef will inspect everything that goes out. Over time, this is how restaurants deteriorate...sous chefs begin to introduce variations in the process while restaurant management starts to cut corners on sourcing....cutting costs, making compromises, etc. GOOP KITCHEN So here is a kitchen that is doing everything right...aside from the obvious name problem with doesn't say "TAKE US SERIOUSLY" it exhibits all the characteristics of someone who knows how to be a world class kitchen. And because of the delivery format, they don't have to worry about the 1,000 things that most Chef's worry about....reception, the tables, seating, services, etc. etc. They only have to source well...they only source organic Mary's chicken...and they only source certified best in class Salmon....they don't concern themselves with sorting out beef at all and the produce is all very fresh and organic...sauces are minimalistic...and they don't go near seed oils. Desserts are very low sugar versions...this is by design a very, very, healthy kitchen that delivers at a very reasonable price...if you order through DoorDash or Uber it will cost you noticeably more. WALKING IN If you walk in like I did the first time because ready for a shock. The magic in this kitchen is not visible and the outside is filled with strange "dashers" who look lost, keep staring at their phones, and grab a bag and go every 30 seconds. It's a confusing experience that was not designed for people who want to eat the food. But if you want to dip yourself in the futuristic experience of high tech food delivery go for it. Ambiance??? White walls, walls lined with people standing and waiting, metal shelves and people scurrying around like robots...(it used to be self-opening lockers so perhaps this is better?). THE FUTURE It takes an extreme effort to create a kitchen like this. It takes twice as much determination and staying power to keep it that way. People like to finish things, dust off their hands, and go onto the next thing. Time will tell if this can sustain the high level of healthy quality it has today. read more

I honestly don't understand the negative reviews here. Have had multiple pizza, pasta, chicken, and salad dishes here and the portions have been good, the ingredients have tasted high quality, and it was well prepped. The only thing that comes to me is some people might be used to food that is cooked without "healthier" decisions in mind and prefer something with more butter/lard etc. On pricing just order directly from their website and it's on par with anything in the area. read more
