But the patio chairs are very uncomfortable: you cannot fit your bum in them and must sit lopsided. Mahit fish sandwich was very good and the slaw was nicely spicy! Food menu is extensive and spans wide variety of cuisine from sea food to Italian, salads, and good vegetarian options. They have a nice brewery and can customize dishes for you if you ask. We ordered several apps (Garlic Fries, Bavarian Pretzel, and Ahi Tuna Nachos) and they were all wonderful. Entrees ordered were the Chicken Schnitzel and the Sausage Platter. Nothing disappointed. Had lunch here today and it was forgettable to say the least. We started with the Lobster Bisque which was salty and had no actual lobster pieces anywhere to be found. So chug-a-lug. Most of the dinner guest had a Rye Alt which was the featured beer. It was a full-bodied, balanced, malty-sweet ale. I got the beef medallions with mashed potatoes and a vegetables . They where cooked to perfection. My food was a little cold. But then again I like my food the temperature of the sun. Most of the table got the lobster mac and cheese. There was not a drop left. It was our first visit to Myrtle Beach so hubby and I made a list ahead of time of all the restaurants we wanted to check out and and this place was near the top. It's still the off season so even though the place was busy, we were seated right away. I had checked out the menu beforehand so when our server, Chris, greeted us I ordered the Southwest Egg Rolls right away then checked out the rest of the menu while Chris got our drinks and appetizer. I decided on the Bruschetta Chicken over Linguini and hubby got the Cajun Pasta. Hubby really didn't want to order an appetizer but it turned out to be his favorite part of the meal, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The chicken in my bruschetta was tasty and the chicken moist but I wasn't a fan of the Märzen beer vinaigrette, on the other hand hubby loved his Cajun Pasta, he couldn't finish his dinner so he had the rest for breakfast the next morning. Great service, good food and nice atmosphere, we will be back. We were able to find parking pretty easily but I imagine that changes in the summer months. read more

This place was well below par for what we paid for. We came in for the beer it's kinda of our thing. Well we sat down on porch cuz it was nice out and we were greeted immediately so I had high hopes. Their flights were 1 flight 5 beers $5 easy enough they had 10 beers on draft pretty simple choice here two flights all 10 drafts. (That's how I ordered it "we will have two flights with your 10 on draft"). This must have been to hard for our waitress because she thought I wanted 10 flights with 1 draft per flight. Face palm emoji inserted here. So I corrected her and we eventually got what we wanted and she through two more on shots on there awesome. Now these flights usually come on a nice shot board with the names of everything you got. (For shadowing). This did not happen instead she brings us the shots out and we have to jinga these around on a menu so we know what we are trying. After all that we ordered appetizers I got the southwest nachos with chicken I thought they were pretty good but $14 I'd expect more chicken but it was tasty good sauce and the chips were different but in a good way. Now the main course I ordered and received (for shadowing again) the bruschetta chicken with jasmine rice and seasonal veggies. This was an amazing dish the chicken was smoked and grilled I have a picture I'll post later the sister in law ordered and received crispy cod tacos she says they didn't have much flavor pretty blah in taste also she got the calamari for the app which was good but nothing amazing. Now the wife ordered wink wink DID NOT received the shrimp and mango tacos everyone's food came out but hers when we asked the waitress what the deal was she was like oh it looks like the cooks didn't make it. We told her don't worry about and then she was like I can take that off your bill and we like ummm yeah I'd hope so we didn't say that we just said thank you and the wife ate on her sisters meal. The bill comes and we find out that she didn't even place the order for the shrimp tacos but she did take the calamari off which was nice and they did a military discount another good thing. For the price of what we paid for and the mistakes we had here is why I gave it a two star. Maybe it was a bad night maybe she was new but unlikely cuz she New about the beers which were good I got the miboc (sp). The only reason this gets an extra star over King St Grille (just down the street) is because our waitress was amazing & I loved their extensive (and cheap) app menu. We sat out on the covered patio, which is lovely & intimate. We started with the goat cheese bruschetta and calamari . . . there were actually about 4 apps I wanted to try but the fish & chips looked good also, so that's what I ordered. The fish was okay - it was more fish-sticky than I prefer, although I do believe that it was fresh/never frozen, I think I am more used to beer battered, not panko fried fish. Husband had the burger which was great & those sweet potato fries were also very very tasty. The portions were small and none of us had enough to take home as leftovers, but we definitely did not leave hungry. We go to Gordon Biersch every time we are in Myrtle Beach, we are from Charlotte, NC and we love Rock Bottoms too. We go to the beach at least once a month, and we always go to Gordon's. We go for their great Happy Hours special, the crowd is fun and the drinks are cold. Their happy hour menu is great and drink specials (prices) are awesome. We get the flat bread and hummus and for dinner the filet medallions, always cooked to perfection. The manager Jason is the best, he is friendly, and even though he is busy, always stops and says hi, and asked how we are and more importantly how's the food. They have a selection of beer including the ones I had that are brewed in house. for dessert we had the bread pudding Apple something or another once again recommended by Joe and it was to die for our whole experience with this restaurant is definitely a 5 star rating at a two or three star price. we highly recommend for any tourist or even in towners to go in because it is such a great place.
