I took it up to the counter and got a "sorry about that" and that they would take care of it. 10 minutes later then came out with 1 chicken tender in a basket......Honestly they should have remade the whole tender order. The burgers are delicious! I tried the The Western Bacon Blue Ring. They use quality meat and quality blue cheese. The fries were good as well. The food is a bit pricey and you have to purchase the fries separately. For that price the fries should be included. The customer service was friendly and very helpful. One thing I find very rude is when they turn the register around for you to select a tip. They do not bring the food to you and you clean up yourself. For those reason you should not be put on the spot to be obligated to give a tip! I do recommend giving them a try! read more

Burgers were a bit disappointing. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this place but it did not live up to its hype. I got a bacon cheeseburger and my husband got the California burger. We also got a side of garlic fries, onion rings, side of jalapeño cheese sauce, and a small vanilla cone. The bacon cheeseburger was very dry. The bun was too bready and the patty was flavorless and dry. Felt like every bite was more disappointing after the other. The garlic fries and onion rings were good. Garlic fries were very garlicky and went well with dipping it in the jalapeño cheese sauce. The jalapeño cheese sauce had a nice kick to it and didn't taste too much like velveeta. The best thing here was their Straus vanilla soft serve. It was very milky and creamy. Not sure if it was cause if the 90+ degree weather that hit the spot or it was simply that good. This would probably be the only thing I would come back for. Today's meal was very disappointing for both of us. We were actually going to order The Habit when I decided I wanted to try a burger from somewhere new (Big Regret!!!). Gott's seemed like burgers were their specialty or so I assumed and wanted to give them a try. I placed my order through Door Dash but for any special requests you have to call the restaurant. I requested both burgers to be well done over the phone but unfortunately only my single burger was well done and the double burger was very pink in both patties (I regret not taking pictures). The burgers were dry even the one with both pink patties surprisingly. They had no flavor. And the bread for both burgers (egg bun and wheat sliced bread) were very dry as well. I have never seen my husband look so miserable eating a burger before in my life. All he kept saying is we should've ordered The Habit. He winded up eating his burger minus some of the bread that he took off, but I could not finish my burger at all. I only had a few bites. It's great to have Gott's in Downtown Walnut Creek! Location, location, location. This "Roadside" eatery is sandwiched between a parking lot and a parking garage, making it a convenient pit stop for your Walnut Creek wanderings. It's also easy to find a seat with plenty of tables inside and out. The overall aesthetic, similar to the original Napa location, is trendy yet casual. There's quite a variety in the menu but I'm particularly drawn to the seafood options. So far, I've tried the Mahi Mahi Taco, Ahi Poke Taco, Garlic Fries, and Sweet Potato Fries (with the tastiest homemade ranch dipping sauce). Everything has been colorful and delicious! The seasonal specials are tempting as well. The price point is higher than expected for a fast-casual restaurant but so is the quality and portion size. Recently went to Gotts In Walnut Creek with friends. I had been to this location several times in past and food was much better. Apparently, they have a new grill cook, as my cheeseburger was burnt on top and so dry...it had been way over cooked. I ate half of it and threw it out. I had ordered chili as well (was excellent) and onion rings were excellent. The manager in charge of the grill staff really needs to monitor his crew on their food preparation. We were hungry after shopping in Broadway Plaza and the wafting aroma of burgers on the barbecue smelled great. We've been to the Gotts up in Napa which was excellent. I wish I could say the same for the Walnut Creek location. The burgers were so greasy and lackluster I could only eat half of mine. The garlic fries we ordered were room temperature so I politely asked if we could have hot fries. The customer service is very good! They immediately gave me a new order of fries but they were only slightly warm and not crisp at all. I was very disappointed as I love garlic fries. I also found the ambience depressing with sad mellow music and it didn't smell nearly as good inside as outside of the building. I would have given this fun burger place a higher review, except for a few important considerations...... When we arrived we noticed the long line to order and the excitement in the air. What a cute place! It is right in the center of Walnut Creek, near all of the shopping. Wonderful, creative menu with lots of delicious items. We were happy that the line moved quite quickly and we found a lovely table outside to wait for our food. After 25 minutes, my husband went to the counter to check on our order. The clerk told us it usually takes about 25 minutes for the orders to be ready, so it should be soon. 10 minutes later, my husband again went to the counter ( even though we were never notified) and found that our order was now ready and was waiting on a table with other orders to be called. He brought our food back to our table and noticed that they gave us fries instead of onion rings, so he had to go back again! The food did look SO yummy, but I was disappointed when I took my first bite because it was barely warm enough. We did not want to make a fuss at this point because we were really hungry. Been to the St Helena location numerous times and have always received quality food and service. That is NOT the case for the Walnut Creek location. Service is mediocre, food is subpar, typical wait to just place your order is 10-20 mins then another 20-35 min wait for the kitchen to get your order completed. I've been off the land meat train for some time now, so I haven't tried any of the burgers, but I hear that's what they're known for. If you like tuna, please don't bother with Mahi Mahi tacos. The thing that keeps me coming back to this place: the Ahi Poke Tacos are bomb!!! I get them every time now. Ahi poke cubes, some cabbage, some kind of creamy delicious sauce, in a crisp wrapper.... genius! Only downside is that they're p small and you get 3 of them for $15.. plus $4 garlic fries are a must. -1 star for the pricey-ness, but I guess.. hey that's Walnut Creek! Would not recommend this dish. Western Bacon Blue Ring Burger - There was so much blue cheese you could not taste anything but blue cheese in this burger. At the same time the burger was soggy and meat was over cooked. You wouldn't be able to tell if the onion ring was there because the burger made it soggy. Would not recommend this dish. Garlic Fries - This was honestly the only order we enjoyed. The fries were done well, and the flavor was there. Only wish they didn't drench the fries completely in garlic oil. I had been of fan of Gott's since they were Taylor's Refresher. I had frequented the Napa and SF Ferry Building locations. I was excited for them to open up in Walnut Creek. My husband and I were shopping on Sunday, and we were excited to see that they had the Impossible Burger on the menu. Though, it was called the "Impossible Vegetarian" because it had cheese on it. We started eating vegan in the beginning of the year so we have been searching for options. We went with the Impossible Vegetarian without the cheese and secret sauce, on sourdough bread. The girl at the counter didn't seem excited to be there. It was a little hard to understand her because she was mumbling. I had to ask her to repeat herself. 20 minutes pass . . . and we still haven't received our order. My husband finally got up and went to go check on our order and it still wasn't ready! We literally ordered one burger and fries! That's it. And it took over 20 minutes to get to us. We finally got our order and we were both highly disappointed! My husband was really disappointed because he thought it was dry and flavorless (perhaps because there was no cheese or sauce). We both said that the Counter's version of the Impossible burger is much better because we are able to customize it and add more flavorful options like vegan cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms and other vegan friendly sauces. They didn't have any vegan cheese or vegan sauce options. It just wasn't worth it to us. I felt really bad because I was hyping it up to my husband who had never had Gott's! We tried it, and he said it was "so so" and said he preferred the Counter or the Beyond Burger patties that we make at home. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back here until they come up with more vegan options. They also need to work on better customer service and better wait times. read more

I've always loved Gott's Roadside ever since I bit into the Wisconsin Sourdough burger at the San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace years ago. This amazing sandwich consists of: Griddled mushrooms, Zoe's bacon, cheddar cheese, mayo & BBQ sauce on toasted sourdough. I'm happy that there is now a Walnut Creek location but they definitely are having some growing pains. I ordered this said burger and a side of garlic fries. I was order number 29. Great, my wife and I settled in at a table that accommodated us with our infant in a stroller, and all we had to do was relax/wait a few minutes to enjoy a delicious meal by this company. Alas, 45 minutes passed and no food (they have the pager system). I finally went up to the counter and asked about my order which was never processed. They were on order number 79. I let them know I just want a refund and I'd be on my way home (sad and hungry), but they ended up expediting my missed order and gave me a gift card for $40 in addition to the food. Thank you Gott's for correcting this on the spot--that is exceptional customer service. Hence, I still endorse this joint and highly recommend it if you're looking for a tasty burger and fries. read more

I wrote a review about a month ago and for some reason, it's not here. As a true Yelper and to help others, this needed to be said. I came in about 1:45pm on a weekday and there was no line at all and a few people in the place eating but very empty. I ordered a basic cheeseburger and added grilled onions, bacon and avocado. That with a fries and a coke......it was around $17.00 which I thought was crazy but am willing to pay for quality so went ahead with great anticipation of a wonderful experience. The young guy who took my order then told me it would be 15 minutes. I asked.....why so long....no one is here! He couldn't answer and I should have know with that......I was in trouble. It only took about 10 minutes but was more than shocked with what I got. A pathetic small bag of fries.....about the same size as a small at McDonalds for size reference and my burger was pathetically small as well. Nothing at all of what I expected. To pay that much for this small of a meal......it better knock my socks off..........wrong. Weak or meh is how I would explain this burger. Just another lame excuse for a burger spot in Walnut Creek that overcharges and provides less than quality food. As if this wasn't bad enough, I gotta listen to a manager that decides to sit across from my table and critique an employee. Completely out of line to do this in front of customers but also tacky and embarrassing to have to hear an employee go thru a public 1 on 1. Weak! So.......if you want a quality burger.....hit up Burger Lounge or Mooyah's or even Kinders! At least you get a quality meal at a better price! Gott's takes all my money! I am there ALL the time. The staff here is fantastic! Jessie is such a sweet heart. Everyone is always working so hard. I frequent Gott's a few times a week. It's an expensive habit, but you get what you pay for. Quality ingredients, attentive staff, and a fun dining experience. Gott's has a ton of delicious items on their menu. Their vegan "impossible" burger is AMAZING (per my mom and friends). Their garlic fries are drool worthy, and they even have a gluten free fryer for those with allergies (like myself). They have Kombucha on tap, a great wine selection, and the milkshakes are perfect. My signature meal is their Citrus & Avocado Chop Salad. It is gluten free, the chicken is so tasty, I love the dressing, and I dig through the salad for pickled onions (because I love them). The only complaint I have, is their lack of attention to the environment. They only have disposable serve ware. Plastic cups, plastic utensils, and disposable bowls. I understand that the plastic they use is "green" and "friendlier". However, I it's still plastic and still goes into a plastic garbage bag. Even when dining in, I'd like to eat with real utensils and not plastic. Especially with such hefty price tags. It would make me and mother nature happy if Gott's could change this. Gott's is one of my favorite restaurants. I used to travel all the way through the tunnel and across the bridge to grab a bite in San Francisco. I'm so happy they've expanded to Walnut Creek. I look forward to many more late nights, bottles of wine and yummy food with friends. Try them out for yourself! read more

Their green Chile burger and tofu burger are just swoon worthy and veggie lovers paradise. Gott's is located at a very accessible location in Walnut Creek and you will see a line outside so it can't be missed. After waiting for around 20 minutes we ordered the Impossible burger and fries. The process is to order and they give you a clicker that beeps when your order is up. Note : You can order your ice cream with your food order ( avoid the line again ) and pick it up after your meal. I thought this was so thoughtful. The food came out fairly quickly and the place to sit and eat was really nice. Well lit with natural light and plenty of seating. Theirs staff makes sure the tables are clean so that was super. The burger itself tasted so so good and I could not believe it was vegetarian !! 10/10. It tasted so good and I really could not tell there is no meat. We got a side of sweet potatoes fries which were good too 6/10. The burger was the star for me and I will try it again for sure. We also tried their organic chocolate ice cream which was actually pretty good on a hot day in Walnut Creek 8/10. Note: They have bathrooms in the back. The staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. They were proud of the product they sell and that was really nice. Overall I had a great experience and I will be back !! I moved away from the Bay Area and live in a place where Impossible Burgers are hard to come by. Memories of the Impossible Burgers at Gott's make me hope I return again.
