Grams BBQ lunch speacil had been popping up on our TikTok feed for the past month we decided to go and check it for ourselves. Located in Garden Grove Grams BBQ is a small Korean bbq resteraunt serving up quality meets. At 18.99 their lunch speacil cannot be beat. Our favorites definitely was the spicy beef belly and brisket. The meat was fresh and tender. You could definitely taste the quality. They also offer several side dishes including kimchi and garlic fried rice which were also really good. Even though the place was packed we did not have to wait a long time and our server was on top of everything. I really enjoyed grams bbq and will hopefully be back soon. read more

I recently found out that GRAMS BBQ is Kaju Tofu's sister restaurant and it makes complete sense because both places are so delicious. They offer 3 ayce menu choices and have a discounted weekday ayce lunch menu as well. The new weekday lunch deal is $18.99 which is amazing and they offer a decent selection (recommend brisket, beef belly, pork tongue). Last call for lunch is 2:30pm. Good prices relative to other local kbbq restaurants. But the quality was really just OK, including the Wagyu. It may have been C grade. There didn't seem to be any extra of marbling. Just looked and tasted like usual prime cuts. Service was mostly good except for one very annoyed teenage, girl server who was exasperated from the start of the meal. The weekday lunch deal is so good, $18.99 per person you really can't beta that deal. The side dishes were good, but I wish that they had the egg pudding/steamed egg part of the menu. Such a great spot!! The servers are all very nice and multiple of them came by to check up on us. They had every side and even brought bigger dishes of the ones we really liked out. All the meat is fresh and there is 3 different levels of the menu pricing/options. I would say all 3 have a fair amount of options. We got the second option and were very happy with it. I will come back but overall it could be better. I and my friends came on Tuesday at around 6:30 and was sat pretty quickly. We got the AYCE B $38.99. We ordered 4 rounds of food. Food (2/5): Meat was cut really thin, especially the wagyu so it sticks to the grill really easily. And for some reason, our kitchen hood is not on, so smoke was all over my table. Pork fat (to butter the grill) was only given on the first round. In addition, not pictured, but I'm pretty sure all the wagyu meats were not "wagyu" standard because the marble patterns were nonexistent. Banchan is only restocked if you're done, which I think is a good practice to prevent food waste. We loved the LA Galbi, beef tongue, pork belly, and bulgogi. Ambiance (5/5): Clean and well-lit restaurant. Service (3/5): Servers were friendly. They were attentive at first and constantly ask for our orders, but were not paying attention to us when we need grill change and restock of banchan items. Tried Grams again after so many years and the quality was actually really good. We tried the premium A AYCE option and the selection of meats was definitely premium. Many options to choose from and quality of meats was good. I really enjoyed my experience this time but service was lacking a little at the beginning. Misleading Advertising, Poor Service, and Low-Quality Meat!!!! My experience at Grams Korean BBQ was easily one of the worst AYCE dining experiences I have ever had. From start to finish, both the service and food quality were unacceptable, especially considering the price. First, the customer service was extremely slow and inattentive. After being seated, I waited approximately 15 minutes just to receive a soda. No explanation, no apology, and no sense of urgency. This pattern continued throughout the meal, with long waits between orders and minimal staff engagement. For an AYCE restaurant, where timing and service are critical, this level of inefficiency is simply unacceptable. I selected Option B specifically because it was advertised as including "wagyu" meats. What was served was clearly not wagyu by any reasonable standard. I have extensive experience eating premium beef, including certified Japanese A5 Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, and American Wagyu, and even American Wagyu sold at Costco far exceeds the quality served here. The meat lacked proper marbling, tenderness, and flavor, and felt more like low-grade beef being marketed under a premium name. At best, this is misleading; at worst, it feels deceptive. The value was completely unjustifiable. The total came to over $130 plus tip for 1 adult and 2 kids, and what we received in return was low-end meat, slow service, and a frustrating dining experience. AYCE pricing at this level should reflect quality, consistency, and transparency, none of which were present here. I left feeling disappointed and frustrated, especially given how confidently the wagyu option was promoted. This restaurant does not deliver what it advertises, and the overall experience does not come close to justifying the cost. I am writing this review to warn others so they can make an informed decision before spending their hard-earned money here. read more

F O O D I haven't been here in a while but always thought Grams was a solid KBBQ choice despite their smaller menu (IMO) in an area that's oversaturated with good eats. But I was surprisingly a bit overwhelmed. The last time I came with my sister. We felt that the meat cuts were a bit fatty which took away from the enjoyment. Despite that, the flavor of the meat was good. S E R V I C E Service here was better than the average KBBQ spot. We went to this AYCE bbq on a sunday night around 10pm and wow, when we walked in the decorations, lights looked amazing. It was alittle small, but it fits the vibe. We were seated right away with all our ban chans We ended up getting the B Menu which was $38.99 per person. All the meats were really good on the B menu. The ones that stood out to me was the beef tongue and the pork jowl. Hands down I think this place has the best beef tongue. It just tastes so much better than any other korean bbq places. The one thing i can say about one of the meats is, I just wish the marinated finger rib was not marinated. I enjoyed the radish paper and the corn cheese. Service was on point. They always checked up on us, made sure we got our meats, and everything was quick. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. Food was delicious, service was fast, the place looks amazing. The host told us we had to separate into 2 different tables of 3, OR we could wait another 20 minutes for a full table together. we opted to wait. after waiting 20 minutes. she then came out and told us we could not sit together after all, and could take half of us first. Three of us went in around 10:30pm. The other 3 were not seated until 11pm (last call is 11:15) and were all the way across the restaurant. Because of the long ass wait, they had to over order to compensate for the lack of time, which led to left-over fees. When checking out, they told us we would be charged as a group of 6. DESPITE the shitty seating, long wait, and deceptive service. We didnt even dine together or have the same time together? I asked why we are getting charged together, and the server told us he'll charge us separately instead. Then we look at the receipt and he slapped the 18% gratuity (for parties of 6) on our bill anyway. all he did was split the bill in half?? absolutely horrid and shady service. read more

My first time trying lunch AYCE kbbq here. We arrived at 12:30pm on Wednesday and there were 6 tables filled. As always beef briskets were fresh wins over beef belly. Thick pork belly was juicy too. I wish there were more side dishes. Not a big fan of chopped cilantro with spicy sauce. Can't really complain with $23.99 lunch but would've been great if menu included soy bean paste soup. The last time I had Grams was before COVID, and I always had a good impression from their high quality meats and fast service. Unfortunately, that was not the case when I came here with family last week. We came in on a weekday around 6pm before the rush. The restaurant was not fully packed at the time. I should have known we were going to spend majority of our dining here waiting when they first told us to wait a bit while they set up the table. At the time, I felt that was standard in a lot of places so we didn't mind. But as we got seated, it took about 10 minutes for them to get our order, and maybe another 15-20 minutes to get our first order of meats. It was honestly the first time that I saw my family eat up all the side dishes before the meat orders arrived. I did see that there were ordering tablets on the table but it didn't seem to work, so I'm wondering if that's why the staff was not used to getting the orders in. I realized they took our empty water bottle and did not bring back a refilled one until the end of our dining experience when I had to request it 2-3 times because they kept forgetting and I was soooo thirsty. Meats were decent and our favorites from Menu B were the wagyu brisket, wagyu beef belly, LA galbi, the seasoned finger ribs and the top blade...except they brought out the top blade way too late so while it was tasty, I couldn't enjoy it as much as I would have had it came out with the meats from the same round. I enjoyed the food, but was not a fan of the lagging service. It could be that they were understaffed since I do feel like the servers were doing their best, or they were not used to the holiday rush. MUST TRY AYCE KBBQ in Garden Grove!! This is hands down one of the better kbbqs I've had in a long time for it being ayce. Came with a large group of friends during the weekend and it definitely satisfied my cravings. The meat quality is on par with other ayce kbbqs I've had, and I recommend getting their second tier option to get the premium meats. One thing that really stood out to me was their cilantro salad. I am a cilantro girlie through and through and this single handedly made me give this place 5 stars because of how good it paired with the food. Banchan selection was also amazing, and their sauce selection was quite unique! They had this kimchi dry rub that you could add to your sauce or on the meat and it was super yummy, it do be crack. Service was super quick and attentive, and they changed our grills multiple times. I would definitely come back here again if I'm ever in the are and I'm craving kbbq. read more

They have a waitlist on Yelp, so I would definitely recommend planning accordingly to put your name down. Inside, they have a nice modern spacious setup with an upbeat ambiance. For their menu, they have three different options to choose from with different price points. I stopped by for dinner with wifey and some family and we opted for the menu B which was $38.99. We ordered the Brisket, Beef Belly, Pork Jowl, Top Sirloin Cap-Picanha, Marinated Finger Ribs, Marinated LA Galbi, and the Wagyu Eye Round. But then meat themselves are pretty flavorful and come out quickly. The woode galbi is truly the higlight and could have eaten plenty of this. My party of nine arrived here, and we were seated promptly. Despite its small size, the place does the job well. The cucumber kimchi was my favorite, but all the sides were excellent. The flavor was present and it was really crispy. I requested the brisket doen-jang soup and cold noodles twice, but we never received it. Three things that we never ordered were also given to us. I've been here a few times. The meat has always been great quality and the service here is really fast. There doesn't seem to be a lot of staff but someone is constantly walking around, taking away the empty plates, and it only takes like 2 minutes to bring you the new set of meat that was ordered. The short rib fingers, pork jowl, beef tongue, and beef belly are so good. And also the large intestine as well, that is if you like intestine. They serve banchan as expected on the side, and they're very attentive on refilling if you want. The restaurant itself isn't that spacious and it does feel a little crowded when you walk in. I will say that the smoke hoods don't do a very good job at ventilating the place (the smoke was blowing sideways towards the people and not up). You WILL come out smelling VERY strongly of kbbq. Also come early on weekends because if you don't, you gonna have a bit of a wait. My friends and I don't eat kbbq often but this place is one of our top choices for kbbq in OC. read more

A friend recommended this place, and it became my go-to KBBQ spot. I always get menu A and it's totally worth the price! The meat quality is always great. I love their specialty Woode galbi and the boneless short ribs. The meat is super tender and is perfect with some salts! The marinated boneless short ribs is tasty as well. The egg pudding is extremely silky; I always have to order multiples. The servers are always attentive. I never have to wait for too long to grab someone's attention whenever we needed help. Definitely could just get their lowest tier menu and the brisket + beef belly would be satisfying enough since the meat quality is really good. I was impressed by the banchan options and liked the variety here. Staff was quick and brought out meats and sides pretty quickly although they did forget to bring us our pitcher of beer for a long while.
