Iced matcha latte (asked for it sweetened).
    Angelique A.

Cool space, very open and airy and the staff was pretty nice and made modifications for the matcha latte. I liked the matcha latte, had a good matcha flavor - I just think it could have been a little stronger on the grassiness of the matcha too. Smooth drink though, nice if you're in the area.

Drinks are very tasty. I strongly recommend the pricey Most Mexican Mocha drink. The staff are pretty cool. The place itself has plenty of art. I noticed that this coffee shop is very left-wing and woke, in which, I'm not a fan off. LOL! Regardless of the political stance of this business, they have good staff and serve good coffee.

One of my favorite spots to catch up with friends! (Second to the OG Grand Coffee spot down the street) Please note this is NOT a coworking space so please avoid bringing your laptop/work here. Theres also no wifi or outlets either as they encourage patrons to interact w one another to build community / have a space to escape work. The coffee/matcha it self is really good. Staff is really knowledgeable about the drinks and pull quality espresso. Most drinks have the right balance of not being too sweet so you can really appreciate the coffee.

Such a cute spot with a great vibe! The Space: There's no WiFi, which actually was really nice; it encourages conversation and gives the space a more communal feel. That said, if you're looking to work remotely, this probably isn't the place you're staking out. It's a short, flat walk from the BART station, and totally worth the detour. Drink: I had an oat milk latte with their gochujang miso butter syrup, and it was pretty good: cozy, slightly spicy, and perfect for a foggy SF morning. Overall: Good drinks, good energy. Would definitely recommend!

I walked in and there appeared to be four employees milling around chatting. One person was making coffee and one was cleaning. The other two seemed to be doing not much No one paid any attention to me for several minutes. The person making coffees greeted me but was obviously busy. Eventually, one of the chatting people came over to take my order. While I was waiting for my coffee, I looked around. When I was here last time, it was packed and there were only about six seats. Now there are a few more seats and a table nearby, toward the art gallery. The area wasn't full but people were definitely hanging around to enjoy their coffees. The coffee was ok. Not very strong but it served its purpose.

Thought the staff was great. My oatmilk latte was just too strong for me, like this espresso is a punch to your face strong. I'm more of a light to medium espresso person. But, the area is cool for meeting up with friends and the staff is friendly.

Wow, really nice big airy space that's mostly an art gallery and entrance way for various offices. Fun to sit here and look at the art. There are restrooms in the back (unlike the other Grand Coffee a block away). You have to ask for the code. The espresso coffee is good here, and the baristas are nice. They have a few pastries and colorful stuff for kids. There are some bar stools and a few big communal tables.

I think people love to love Grand Coffee. It's got the heart & soul you'd expect from a Mission Street cafe; the walls of this new location is littered with funky art. I wasn't a fan of the bitter mocha I once got from their original location, but I was down to give them another shot. This time, I ordered a "not coffee" -- a Lime Rickey ($5) which had zero sweetness. Perhaps a syrup-sweetened latte would suit me more; orange blossom orgeat sounds promising. I'm not giving up on Grand yet. They've got potential, I know it. (This is beginning to sound like, "I can fix him.") Reasonable prices, interesting non-coffee drink selection, there's pan dulce in the display case I've yet to try, & they're right next door to my go-to movie theater. Better bring your A game next time, Grand Coffee!

Visited Grand Coffee Too for the first time on a Friday evening and had a great experience! It's a super cute and artsy coffee shop, perfect hangout spot with friends. Loved the vibes here and the staff was SO welcoming and friendly. Just note that it's very small, so seating is limited. I believe there are around 6 counter seats in total, as well as a bench. I ordered the Iced Matcha and loved it! You can choose either whole milk or oat milk, and can also order this drink hot if you prefer hot drinks. It was ready pretty quickly, and they provided a beautiful coaster that perfectly matched the vibes of the shop. My friend and I also tried their chocolate chip cookie, which was absolutely AMAZING. The center was thick and I loved how I could taste the salt. It was perfect. Definitely would order these again. Can't wait to visit again next time in the area!

Rules limiting laptop use, no WiFi.
    Marissa R.

Vibes were not very good here. Accidentally tried to go up the stairs which were not labeled and the staff was rude about the fact that upstairs was a private area. Not very friendly service. Drink was fine, not noteworthy, not bad. Additionally I've never seen quite so many rules for a coffee shop. Certainly won't return to work briefly, but also wouldn't return otherwise because I can find many other places in the neighborhood that would offer more friendly service without so many "rules." But to each their own! I understand that each place is entitled to setting their own boundaries, these ones just felt truly excessive for a mid-level experience. The interaction and rules made me feel awkward to be in the space which is counter to their point of creating a warm "third space." The patrons here all left pretty quickly aside from the person using their laptop in the corner without a table or WiFi...since laptop use is not allowed at the bar.

nice espresso beans; the oat latte was pretty strong and not sweetened which was nice. the chai was better though

The coffee was okay--we had a cappuccino and a latte. The cappuccino was a bit bitter, but adding sugar made it fine. The ambiance was nice, and we wanted to enjoy our coffee inside the café in cute coffee cups. Unfortunately, the server never asked if it was for here or to go and served the coffee in to-go cups, which was a bit disappointing. A small detail, but it would have made the experience better.

Some of the best coffee in the area. Great mix of traditional bruise with some newer types of drinks. And great atmosphere.

It has easily become my go to neighborhood ritual. The Coffee & Eats: Their coffee is wonderfully hearty, and the variety they bring to the table is impressive. Whether I'm sticking to a classic, comforting cup of their house blend or opting for one of their rotating specials, like a perfectly dialed in Ethiopian drip or their unique orangeinfused specialties, it never disappoints. Yes, the serving sizes are a bit smaller than your average corporate chain, but the rich flavor and high quality roast make up for it entirely. And whatever you do, do not skip the pastries. Their freshly baked almond croissants are easily the best around, insanely flaky and perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining beautifully soft and pillowy on the inside. The Atmosphere: The vibe inside is cozy, lively, and full of character, heavily anchored by a beautiful collection of thriving houseplants (though I did recently offer to water a struggling pothos back to life, fingers crossed it makes a comeback!). It may actually be a strong contender to dethrone my current #1 matcha spot in South Bay I arrived with the full intention of trying their coveted banana matcha latte, but had to pivot to try their seasonal melon matcha latte once I saw it on the menu. Amazinggg flavor! The matcha was creamy, earthy, and just strong enough. The melon flavor was so well executed in this drink and you definitely taste the melon notes right away, which was delightful. It was refreshing and fruity without being overpowering. Best way I can describe it is like a honeydew Melona ice cream bar melted into a matcha latte. My friend got the double matcha guava latte with a guava cream top, which was delicious and tropical, but we both agreed that the melon matcha latte was the standout by far. I'm already planning when I can go back for it before they switch out their seasonal drinks! We came on a weekday afternoon, so there wasn't much of a line at all. It's a relatively small space for a coffee shop with limited seating/tables inside, but they have a cute little outdoor seating area with benches. I presume it would get pretty cramped on busy weekends, so I'd say it isn't really an ideal study cafe, but you could definitely make it work for a little solo study sesh and they have free wifi. There are metered parking spots along the street that I didn't have an issue finding nearby. Important note: they don't take cash.

Also, they lacked the difference in taste and we couldn't tell apart the difference in orders. The Vietnamese iced coffee was horrible. It was so dark and bitter and left a really strange aftertaste. Though I will say the matcha guava was really good. The cream top tasted like fresh guava, and it complemented the matcha very well. That was the only redeeming drink here.
