Just got here and off to a good start.

Great diner grub, eggs over was perfect. Lots of scoops of wonderful salted butter, good hash browns, pancakes (didn't try the syrup), oj tasty. Service was excellent! There were 3 people taking care of the customers and they all did great. The folding chairs were quite comfortable, advertising on the tables added charm (especially loved Hauling AZ). The outside speaks nothing on what's going on inside. If you are in the neighborhood for breakfast, make sure that you stop in, you won't regret it.

This is the real deal for breakfast. Drove 10 minutes off the freeway to try this place. Country fried steak was huge. Hash browns are plentiful and perfectly cooked as were the eggs. Glad I stopped.

I really wanted to find a good breakfast restaurant in Kingman. Sadly, this was not the place. The sign out front says they're celebrating 30 years of business. You would think after that long they would've perfected a simple breakfast. While the coffee was OK, that's where it ended. I ordered corned beef hash, two eggs scrambled, country potatoes, and sourdough toast. The corned beef hash came out cold and uncooked, the country potatoes were chunks of undercooked potato with raw onions and bell peppers, and the sourdough toast was warmed bread soaked in butter. The eggs were scrambled, kind of. Even when they picked up my breakfast plate with only the eggs gone, they never asked if everything was OK, just did I want me to go box. No thank you. This is a cute restaurant, and I really wanted it to be successful in being my new go to breakfast place. Oh well, I'm still on the search for a good old fashioned coffee shop with a nice breakfast and good cup of coffee. This sure wasn't it!

The place was clean and gave off a Route 66 vibe. Service was great and food excellent! Large portions cooked to order.

Nice little breakfast joint! Big portions and quick service! It was really busy when we arrived on a Sunday morning, but we still managed to find a table and seat ourselves. We ordered a wide array of breakfast food, my favorite was the breakfast burrito!

Stopped through Kingman on a roadtrip from LA to Jacksonville, TX, and needed to grab a bite in the morning. This place was perfect! I was the only person sitting outside, and the view is stunning-- it's my first time in Arizona, and I was struck by the beauty of the Mojave. The staff were unbelievably kind & helpful. I am vegetarian, and they offered to customize my breakfast burrito to use vegetables instead of meat, at no additional cost. The burrito itself was delicious, not to mention MASSIVE-- I have half of it in my car to enjoy later on the road. And all of it came out to $11.61 after taxes. Especially coming from LA prices, I felt unbelievably spoiled. Highly recommend this spot.

One of the cutest places we've been to in a minute. Old school and home cooked. Loved all of the signs on the wall, they were fun to read while waiting for our food. Service was a group effort and everyone was very nice.

My husband and I stopped here with our small dog on the way back to California from Texas and had a very tasty meal here. The owner and wait staff were super friendly and accommodating and our food was delicious. Quick service and we were on the road again within 35 minutes of our arrival. It was definitely worth driving a couple of miles off the highway for local, fast and friendly service. We recommend!

Only have been for breakfast which has been good, large portions, just not fond of the seating, cramped and cheap folding chairs.

It's always a cheap eat because their prices are inexpensive for their food quality, which makes me (and most likely everyone else) glad. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries, and it was delicious. Funny enough, I meant to order the crispy chicken sandwich but I forgot and ordered this one, yet it was just as amazing. The tender, juicy chicken paired well with the perfect hamburger buns and the crispy fries. Definitely tasty, I might order this over the crispy chicken sandwich. I entered and was sat down very quickly and was asked my drink and food choice. The waitress was very polite and helpful, she seemed like she had a lot to do. Refills were fast, the vibe was great and I was grateful for everybody doing great in busy hours. Inside was a bunch of Route 66 stuff, handmade items and trinkets alike. I could tell they love Arizona. The seats were comfortable, the tables clean and certainly a great experience. I'm really glad they had some AC on, it was almost a "chilly" 100 degrees outside. Just spectacular. Overall, Calico's is the place for high-quality, scrumptious meals with great prices, nice people and wide selections of foods and memorabilia. I absolutely recommend this place for anyone with high standards, Calico's delivers on everything. What I also recommend is that you should come for the Sunday brunch buffet, it's quite the thing. Thank you!

I've thought about the hash brown casserole for years and looked forward to satisfying my hunger for the potato casserole. I was extremely disappointed when I saw the "casserole" come to the table. Shredded potatoes?? What the heck? The waitress confirmed the recipe had changed. They were dry and unappealing. The waitress saw the displeasure on my face and asked several times if I wanted to replace them. I declined. I was really looking forward to the potato casserole. The restaurant ambience was as remembered and the staff were all very nice and friendly. My son enjoyed his food as he had the 4 piece fried chicken dinner with three sides. Note the sides are much smaller as I remembered them to be. Mac n cheese was good but not the same. I guess costs and overhead are cutting into food quality. Sadly I won't be returning to any Cracker Barrel in any state, unless the original casserole recipe is brought back. But I'm one person and don't think the casserole will return.

We dined outside on their large open patio, which had a relaxed and comfortable vibe, exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. I ordered the Caesar salad topped with chicken, fresh romaine, shaved Parmesan, crunchy croutons, and a solid dressing. Simple but well done and the portion was HUGE. For drinks, I had a Prickly Pear Margarita, which was refreshing and had just the right balance of sweet and tart. My sons ordered the Sud Soakers personal pan pizzas. My oldest got the Carnivore which came loaded with house sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon. It was rich and hearty without being overwhelming. My youngest had the Margherita, which was light and fresh with house sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, and sliced tomato. My husband ordered The Bichen Burger, which definitely lived up to its name; lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, pepperjack cheese, grilled jalapeños, and their signature "bichen sauce." It had a nice kick and was packed with flavor. Overall, it was a perfect stop: great food, generous portions, fun menu, and a really nice outdoor setting. A great way to end the day before heading back to Las Vegas where we were staying.
