Corned Beef Hash with rye toast and no green peppers.

This place definitely gives local diner vibes where everyone knows each other, the staff are super friendly, the food is good, and the coffee keeps coming. I enjoyed my breakfast- the hash with rye toast and no green peppers.

Finally made it over and loved it! The open kitchen concept and themed decor give this place a very homey feel. Our waitress was so nice and activated our busy 3 year old with grace. The food was delicious!!! We can't wait to return

Love this place! The prices are reasonable, and Nick, the owner, is awesome--along with his amazing staff. They're always friendly and remember you when you come in, which makes it feel really local and welcoming. I used to frequent his father's location on Amherst and Bush, so I'm so happy Nick moved closer to my neighborhood. I go back whenever I get the chance. I would highly recommend Nick's Express for a great-quality breakfast, friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and of course, delicious food.

This place was great for breakfast! I ordered their homemade hash with poached eggs and loved it! Oh, and their homemade white bread made for the perfect toast! I will be back!

My partner and I wanted to go to a sitdown breakfast this past Sunday. Nick's Place Express is near our house and we've never been there so we gave it a whirl. It was really busy - so if you go there, make sure you have ample time to wait and eat. Some might complain about the wait, but a good diner on a Sunday morning will have a wait. Is what it is. The restaurant is pretty bare bones and simple inside. No-frills but clean. The service and food were excellent. The crispy home fries were the star of the show; crispiest I've ever had and they were just what the doctor ordered. The #2 was a standard homestyle breakfast done right. The Italian scramble (I forgot what it was called) was pretty zesty with the pepperoni and hot peppers and was just my style with Tabasco sprinkled on top. I would definitely recommend for a good weekend breakfast. Looks like they have good lunches too with a wide variety of sandwiches and wraps.

Healthy Breakfast #2 on their menu - comes with homemade wheat bread!

Consistently great food - hands down one of the best breakfast spots! Love the homemade bread and that they serve real maple syrup. Presentation of the food is awesome and the servers are very friendly. The coffee is good too!

Great as always Great portions, great quality food. One of my favorite breakfast spots in buffalo, and I LOVE breakfast. Always consistent. I usually order on doordash (however, I have been to the Nick's Place restauraunt on... Amherst Street?) My orders always come fast with no issues. I also looovee their homemade bread. I usually get the homemade white toast and it is so tasty! Highly recommend for a quick, inexpensive breakfast.

Excellent open chicken souvlaki. So big I couldn't finish it. Sparkling tables and floors. Owner takes pride and it shows

(Also- the hours online and Yelp/Google Maps are different than what's posted on the door.) I decided to see if the door was open in case the sign just wasn't flipped to "open". It was UNLOCKED, and so was the second door! I was able to go INSIDE the cafe, even though it was clearly empty and no one was there...no food in the display case either. I even called out "hello??" a couple times to no response. Why were both doors unlocked if the cafe was clearly closed (even though according to the hours on the door it should be open...)

The first thing I appreciated was, the Owners and staff members. They are genuinely, a very happy group of people. They are super friendly and engaging. I also like the fact you can dine in or even do takeout. Today I decided on takeout.. the serving sizes are very decent, and the prices are more than fair. I strongly recommend checking them out. Breakfast sandwich- choice of bacon or sausage. Really nice satisfying sandwich. I really like the type of roll that was used. Plus the sandwich wasn't greasy or sloppy at all. Breakfast bowl- For me, I was able to share with my wife. The to-go container was pack. Every bite full had meat, cheese potatoes, and eggs. The ingredient ratio was spot on. You didn't have to much of this and not enough of that. Chicken and waffle- breast was moist and seasoned well for my liking. I loved the waffle flavor. Whatever waffle mix they are using. They need to keep using it and never change up.

The almond square reminded me a bit of an almond ring, with almond paste filling layered inside a flaky, tender, buttery pastry. It had that rich almond flavor without being overly sweet, and the texture was spot on. The pistachio snack cake was soft, moist, and delicately nutty--simple but really satisfying. Almost teacake-like. The cranberry orange scone brought a nice contrast with bright citrus flavor and tart cranberries throughout. It had a great crumb and just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Loved the dried orange pieces. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a spot worth stopping by if you're in the mood for excellent pastries!

My only suggestion would be to please separate the bagels a little better! An onion from an everything bagel somehow found its way onto my cinnamon raisin bagel. The drinks and food were all wonderful and we will be back for sure. Anthony, the bartender, took care of us the entire time. Went with a group of 4 on a Thursday night and we ordered pretty much every "small plate" option they had. The Brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked with a little crunch. Not being a fan of carrots I was hesitant to try their deconstructed carrot taco but they were the best cooked carrots I've ever had. The mussels came with a decadent sauce served with kimchi and onions that was flavorful and delicious. The calamari was lightly fried and came with a drizzle of Japanese aioli and I could have ate the entire plate by myself it was so good! We also enjoyed a half a dozen oysters and the sticky rice. We had a chance to talk to the owner and chef before we left. It's very obvious a lot of careful and thoughtful execution is made by him and it truly shows through his food. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
